An interesting and different take on the Atlantis story, the ending is a really good read. In fact, the second half of the book is wonderful, unputdownable. But the mediocre score is due to the very very slow and poor start. We don't meet the team until nearly 20% in and it's the same again before anything really takes off.
After that, there are some good touches, nice turns, and I still want to keep reading the series.

Excellent archeological mystery thriller. The CSO characters are great to know and follow, the dialogue is crisp and realistic, and the plot makes sense. I’m looking forward to the next adventure!

Atlantis fact or fiction

This was my first navel by Nick Thacker and I wasn't sure if I would like a book written about Aryan people but after I had read a few chapters I soon realized that this was also about Atlantis the lost continent. And about the CEO team that goes around the 🌎 solving mysteries. I would recommend this novel to anybody that has any interest in Atlantis, genetics or the spread of humans around the globe.

This November a good job of developing the good guys as well as the bad guys. They are all developed very well. I look forward to the next novel because I want to read how Ben let's Sharpe get his due. I will have to let the reader know that there some typos not that many I have seen worse in other novels. The author did a good 👍 in his research and weaving it into a good read.

I absolutely love the Harvey Bennett thrillers! Each book gets better and better and The Aryan Agenda is no exception. I love how the latest book in the series adds to the previous books, but takes a different character and develops them further. For instance, this book adds more to Sarah Lindgren's story, a character who was introduced in the last book. Harvey Bennett is still the main character, but I love how each of them gets their chance to be developed and shine.

Like the previous books, The Aryan Agenda can be read without reading the previous books as Nick does a great job of giving a background on what has transpired up to the start of this book, but I personally think it's best to start with the beginning. This series is that good.

Unlike previous books, our usual gang of heroes don't really make an appearance until a bit of the story has been established. The beginning of this book starts with the antagonist's plot and really was more of a mystery that had me totally hooked by the time Ben and Reggie showed up. As usual for this series, this book starts a bit "slow" (I hate to say it like that because I do still enjoy the start of each story), but then ramps up to a break-neck pace for about the last 3/4ths of the book.

I loved the story line for The Aryan Agenda. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but the reasons behind why the antagonist is doing what she is doing, really adds to the character and almost makes you sympathize with her cause. Almost, but not quite. Nick does a great job, as usual, with these characters. You love to root for the heroes, but the antagonists are at least humanized to the point that their not just monsters acting like monsters to watch the world burn. I like antagonists who are bad because they think they're right, not just because they want to hurt people.

I loved this book and I think Nick gets better with each addition to this series. His plot lines dialogue flow well and get better with each story. I anxiously look forward to each next installment. Check this series out, it's worth the read!

Plato, Nazis and the Pyramids

The Civilian Special Operations (CSO) is back in force with Harvey 'Ben' Bennett, Julie Richardson, Gareth 'Reggie' Red, Sarah Lindgren and Mr. and Mrs. E.

Reunited when a call for help comes from Sarah that her father, the famous archeologist, Graham Lindgren, has gone missing, CSO springs into action to investigate the mysterious artifact sent to Sarah and it's link to her father.

As Reggie and Sarah awkwardly navigate seeing each other after a stormy love affair in the past, the CSO group immediately runs afoul of Interpol and the enigmatic Agent Sharpe.

Trekking across the world from America to the Agean Islands to Egypt, CSO narrowly escapes death on the Island of Santorini, lead by the clues of Professor Lindgren and his quotes from Plato's dialogues.

Thanks to the efforts of Sarah's intern, Alexander Whipple, the group is rescued and sent on their way to the true destination in Egypt, the Pyramid of Giza plateau.

The situation rapidly gets complicated by the interaction of Interpol and the Mukhabarat, Egypt's Intelligence Agency with a woman, Rachel Rancher, who claims to be descended from the original 'pure' race of humans.

Nick Thacker strings together mysteries that have fascinated humankind for millennia and weaves in pulse pounding action, conspiracy theories, love stories and an end leaving you hanging for more. Definitely a 5*****!

The Aryan Agenda (Harvey Bennett #6), My sixteenth read from author Nick Thacker. What appeared to be a one-off with Thacker’s writing of The Enigma Strain was soon followed by The Amazon Code, then by The Ice Chasm and then The Jefferson Legacy. The problem with writing a successful book is amplified in a successful series, the reader's expectations are that this book will be even better than the last, and for the second book in a row, this one is not. When I reviewed earlier Thacker books I commented that his writings were reminiscent of James Rollins. This book isn't! I'm a character reader, I get into the characters, their story, who/what they are. In this, the sixth Harvey Bennet book, the characters, so well developed after 4 previous works are lacking. They only make a guest appearance in the first third of this book. Not that this isn't a good book, that you can't wait to turn the next page and learn more about them, but the story-line seems a little stagnate and it's not til the last half of the book that it takes off! No spoiler's here, though I will say that with Thacker's track record I can't wait to read his next book and I'm sure it will be back to his established standards! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

A question that still isn't answered

In this installment of the Harvey Bennett series, we find our heroes, well, it takes a moment! The novel begins with chapters from Sarah Lindgren, conducting an archeological dig in the Great Lakes region, in an attempt to further her research into a second route for early American settlers. We are also introduced to a scientist, and an evil one at that, continuing her family's work; trying to find the original race, and their pure descendants. Sound familiar? And we thought we were finished with those pesky Nazis!
When Sarah's famous father is kidnapped, she enlists the aid of her CSO friends to bring him home.
As usual, not everything is as it seems, and the team may have gotten into a lot more than they bargained for.
This is the most heavily researched book in the series to date, and it shows. Well written, just enough truth to make it believable, and the cast of characters we've grown to love.

A Great Addition to The Harvey Bennett

The Aryan Agenda fits right in with The Harvey Bennett Series by Nick Thacker. This book is not only about the Nazies but the lost City of Atlantis as well. I enjoyed all the twists and turns that make up this story. You never know what is going to happen next. Just when you think the good guys are dead for sure, they figure out a way to remove themselves from that threat. If you have read any of Nick Thacker’s books and liked them you will love this one. He always does a lot of research, so part of the book is true and the rest is fiction. I love this series and hope the next one is out soon.

I'd really give it 4.5 stars. The only thing lacking for me was that this book was a little more step by step, bam-bam-bam pacing, and the personalities of the characters were muted in favor of pushing the plot forward. It was enough for me to notice the change but not enough to ruin my enjoyment of the book. I absolutely adore Ben and the CSO, and dearly wish someone would make a film of these books. I am eager to start the next book and see where Nick is going with this adventure! I also want to reread the series from the beginning since the publishing time between books is long enough that I kinda forget where we left off. (Not a complaint, just an observation.)

Thacker does it again!

I read my first book in his Harvey Bennett series out of order, it got me hooked. He blends his adventures of Bennett and members of the CSO by mixing historical, facts and fiction. Starting with book 1, it’s a by the seat of your pants ride around the world with his characters and the mystery’s they solve. This book took them to the Greek Isles and wound up in Egypt finding a Nazi experiment in play while looking for one of the CSO’s members kidnapped girlfriend and her father. The books are fast paced and full of daring escapades.
I also like that I learn some true facts in each of his books.

Great Adventure

I look forward to completing the series of Harvey and his CSO team, and will quite happily suspend belief about some OTT scenes, this is fiction - after all. So why the missing star? Two reasons: CSO took their time about entering the arena of kidnap and mayhem and (hope this is not a spoiler) Reggie is shot in the leg, then he is attacked by a soldier, kicking him (same leg) so hard, a bone is heard cracking, GASP! However our intrepid hero is still able to move with assistance from willing shoulders - fast forward a page or three, (and yet another fight) he is now walking unaided, with a broken bone/leg? I don’t think so.

Interesting, Informative, a Page Turner

The team is at it again. This story starts with a bang and doesn't stop. Rachel is a scientist trying to complete a fami!y endeavor that started during WW II looking for the "pure" race. As director of Prehistory in Egypt she could delve into her scheme and experiments without any interference. When one of their own is kidnapped while trying to find her father. The team does what they do best but even after the rescue and stopping Rachel it doesn't end there. Great story full of exciting moments. Thank you for a job well done.

What an amazing ride. Archeologist, anthropologist, the CSO team, a few delusional scientists and Interpol round out the characters in this creation.

We quickly move from Sarah's dad disappearing to Sarah being kidnapped. The CSO team is met at every turn by an Interpol agent.

The crazy incidents continue throughout the world and there is a big one left to solve as we are left in a big cliffhanger.

another enjoyable read

This book again was fast paced and full of action. Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse they did get worse. Ben and his crew spent time trying to find out who had kidnap Sarah’s father and in the meantime Sarah is kidnapped. Reggie and the crew are determined to find Sarah and her father find out why so many people are hunting down the details of Sarah and her father.

Tedious reading. The author has a definite anti Catholic attitude.

Insulting anti Catholic remarks near the end of this book claiming the Church isn’t about truth, only about controlling people. This alone means I will never read another one of his books. Also, too many times the characters begin comments with “Wait” and then some ridiculous question. Very amateurish. So long, Nick, better authors are calling.

Dedicated to your friends make you do the impossible!

Great read. The team (CSO) goes after one of their own after being kidnapped by a group of possible Nazi science personnel. The team travels the world trying to get info on Sarah ainnd her father. Getting into trouble with Interpol total with. Blooms into a mess. A lot of good information to digest. Remember this is fiction. Easy to start to wonder. Read on.

Nazis, Interpol, trouble on every side makes The Aryan Agenda a fun read

In my humble opinion, this is the best Harvey Bennett thriller the best yet. I only gave it’s 4 because I felt it started out a bit slow as all the major players were introduced. However it certainly heated up as it continued. Well worth the read.

Review of this book

Very well written. A lot of research went into writing this book. The story was very well written, and a little disturbing. It took the reader back to a very dark time in history. Unfortunately certain groups are trying to bring back this way of thinking. An excellent story, with a lot of drama and spine tingling action.

They're back and in quite an interesting storyline

There are enough truths in this work of fiction to make you wonder about some of the things we were taught in school. Intriguing is the best way to describe this book. Plus it was great to be back in the mix with Julie, Ben & Reggie.

This book is a steamroller! What a ride around the world! From Alaska to Egypt. As the reader goes through this book, we learn a great deal about the pyramids. But be watchful. The author merges fact and fiction so well, it is easy to believe everything is true. Be sure to read the author's remarks at the end of the book. It adds a lot. Highly recommended.

So good! This series is full of action, adventure, science, good vs evil, friendship, and so much more. I loved this combination of the myth of Atlantis, Nazi craziness, evil mastermind plotting evil things, and civilians saving the day. Well maybe they aren’t exactly civilians but I do enjoy following their exploits. It really is similar to an Indiana Jones adventure.

The Atlantean Artifact

Another great read by Nick Thacker.
I love that the author puts in real Science and other facts. It gives the tales an exciting flare.
Follow Ben and Julie as they chase bad guys around the world, only to discover more bad guys waiting for them. Read as they defeat said bad guys and plan for ways to get even more. A series worth following!

This Story Was OK

I read books five and six back to back, and by the time I was about half way through book six I was skimming pages. The story was semi interesting, but I was just ready to move on to another author.

Another nail-biting thriller from Nick Thacker

If you like the Harvey Bennett series, then you will love this story about Atlantis, Plato, Egypt, Santorini, eugenics and murder. There are twists and turns - many predictable - some surprises, and plenty of action and mystery.

A Little Slow

This book started off fine. It dragged in the middle, it was hard to keep my attention. It picked up near the end. Unfortunately I did not like the way it ended. I was expecting more.
