Human civilization has collapsed. But Rainey Vidic, MD is a genius, and she has Preston Hayes—her open hand, or hammering fist…

…Only the strongest and smartest will survive in The After.

A gifted surgeon, her retired warrior lover, a former Marine, and a taciturn drone pilot fight for survival in a dangerous and pitiless world, while navigating human needs for love, family and community.

When one of their own faces a lethal illness, Dr. Rainey Vidic’s efforts are compromised by a savage horde of highly intelligent, relentlessly evil creatures that threaten the lives of the entire team.
Desperate to save their teammate, the Team encounters an imperiled town of survivors that may hold the key to saving them all. . . or send humanity into extinction.

With echoes of McCarthy’s “The Road” and the thrill ride of “Jurassic Park,” this three volume, four part series, “Love, Death, & The After,” tests the limits of romance, loyalty, and community against a violent world hell-bent on devouring it all.

Part 1 of 4.

Also publishes as "Christopher Page"

Christopher “CK” Page wrangled a Creative Writing degree from an unsuspecting Californian university and authored & published numerous speculative fiction stories and a few novels, among other shenanigans. Christopher writes from overpopulated, under-watered California with a brilliant Mate and some Beasts (all knuckleheads of felus domesticus)—there are some grown-up Offspring somewhere—“Call yer father!” Sexy as hell, he stays fit in retirement from a career as a referee with US Soccer, CIF/NFHS, and US Lacrosse.

Enjoyable Dystopian tale.

Scary, harrowing, and romantic story about the world after pandemics turn people into demonic looking creatures. They aren't zombies though. These creatures have intelligence. Check it out.

Going to read again!

The actions of the characters on their losses and their friends response, were truly realistic. And I like for characters to undo their messed by grit and integrity..
Not have a hero come at the end of book and save everyone. ( Co Greek Tragedies). I enjoy this type of writing. I WILL read more,!

As good as anything Tom Clancy ever wrote. Not that that's saying anything. But a good dystopian story with guns 'n shit.
