This book was great! The storyline was fast-paced, it carried on from the first book really well and there weren't any slow or unnecessary moments like there
sometimes was in the first book.
I loved how there wasn't any unnecessary scenes in this book, Aim had moments within it when it felt like scenes were dragging on or just completely unimportant. However, in this book, Castle did not make the same mistake.
This time, every scene was either an action scene or leading up to all the big reveals and connecting all the loose ends to create the main climax at the conclusion of the book.
Another thing that I highly enjoyed about this book is how well the character development in this book was. It was facinating to see in detail the rage and terror that was B as well as the more empathetic nature of A. To be able to see how they slowly drifted apart and lose ability to agree and connect with each other. We also got to see more of Amitri's personality and his need of power in order to feel more in control and less vulnerable. I can't wait to get more into Cedric's character in the final novel.

Book 2 was everything I hoped it would be. The action was strong and you learned more about the characters and why and how they were trapped in the Lab. The repercussions of the finale of Book 1 play out in this story, with B really feeling it, and A doing what she can to try and keep things together. We get introduced to a new threat to the Subjects and he's wonderfully sinister, requiring new levels of creativity from the girls to escape his influence. Also, you'll get the reveal you've been waiting for - who are the Subjects? It's setting itself up for one heck of a finale in Book 3.
