Texisms gave them an opportunity for a second chance.
John "Tex" Keegan's skills aided Sabine "Barbie" Henson and the rest of the GSG 9 CIRO team to rescue and keep Caleb "Crash" Pope safe along with little sisters Eden and Anya. Reading stories about human trafficking is so tough for me to read about. But seeing that Crash sacrificed himself to save a little girl when the public was just ignoring the obvious was uplifting. With Crash being on a hunted list, it gave he and Sabine the opportunity to revisit their relationship and understand that they were worst off with out each other. They were just going through the motions of life and not living and they were going to take this opportunity to never be without each other ever again.
Kendra wrote a story that was attention grabbing full of drama, action and developed with complicated characters dealing with a very complicated topic. I enjoyed reading this book better than book 1.
