Vancouver USA, also known as Vancouver, Washington, was settled long before Vancouver, Canada. It has a unique history full of hard-working land owners and business people, along with soldiers from the Vancouver Barracks. It also has a darker side, involving robbery, murder, and mayhem.
Author-historian Jeff Davis grew up in Vancouver USA and served at the Vancouver Barracks. He has been writing ghost stories around the area for decades. In this book, he has collected and updated many old and new stories of Vancouver's hauntings.

This was a really interesting book about the history of a city where I am from. I had no idea we had so many messed up crimes. I liked hearing all about the suspected ghosts and sightings. They ran some interesting experiments in some of the buildings to search for paranormal activity. I wish there was more evidence and less speculation, though. Most of it was based on witness reports.
