Bunny

Rate this book
Bunny is a trickster character who dies in every poem or does something so stupid we wish that she would. These short poems celebrate the death of the idiot which we are all capable of being.

"It is interesting to note that throughout the book Bunny is dead. In killing Bunny, Bright consigns the old formula of female submission to the past. At the same time, she reveals the death wish hidden in the American dream, the impulse to conquer the continent which has led to the destruction of the ecosphere." John Herndon , "Austin American-Statesman"

More like 3.5 stars. An interesting cycle of poems about a woman named Bunny who wanted to be abd do more than conservative society said she could. I really liked a lot of the imagery. This tiny book has given me a lot to think about.
