-- I went to prison for ten years after beating a man to death. He deserved it, and then some. I only wish he'd suffered more. Now I'm free, but things aren't the same as when I left. The little girl I once saved is now a tempting young woman with curves in all the right places. I should stay away, far away, but I'm drawn to her like a moth to a flame. The pres of my club adopted her, so she's definitely a no-fly zone, but damn if I don't want her with every breath I take. A little sample wouldn't hurt anyone, right? As long as Griz doesn't find out, I'll keep breathing. Sneaking around should be easy enough. I never counted on falling for her, or finding out she was carrying my kid. August 1, 2024I'm never interested in reading a book where every 1-3* review is scrubbed! Only 4 & 5* reviews. Authors if you have to scrub negative reviews, you don't care about readers - you just care about ratings, but we readers aren't gaslit that easily. No thanks

Cute, quick read.

Badger was a god to all women, he was stuck up and did not do commitment.after being locked up for killing a man defending a thirteen year old girl. Badger is finally out.
Adalia lived in foster care and was raped but she was saved by Badger and adopted into the club once Badger was sent to jail. Every since those events Adalia has been in love with him. He is all she talks about. In her mind she belongs to him. Now he is out and they are sneaking around.
But all that sneaking around, there now is a small problem Adalia is pregnant. Badger does not want kids, and plus she is is MC clubs presidents adopted daughter.
Will Badger man up and accept Adalia's love or will he run and leave her to raise a baby on her own. This story is a short one and can be read in one seating. Even though Badger was sort of a playboy I liked him, he made no apologies and is secretly a good guy.
Adalia I also liked her character. She has overcome some tragic events and now she has a family

Badger believed he was no good. He was no hero and his past was all screwed up. But when he saw Adalia in the alley 10yrs ago, he had to help her. Now he is out on parole and wants to get back with the Devil’s Fury MC’s. But when he returns he sees that Ada is all grown up and sexier than he ever knew. Ada had a crush on Badger and wasn’t about to believe that he was no good. He was all she wanted She just hoped that he wanted her too.
Badger wasn’t a bad man. His past was tainted but that didn’t make him bad. I love that he kept trying to resist Adalia but she was not having it. She wanted him and was going to have him. Her “condition” I know about that. My sister had that too. I do love that the guys are always thinking they know what’s best but they just never tend to believe the women. Yes, Badger is older but so what. He is still a man and hot at that. I enjoy this series be it Dixie Reapers or Devil’s Fury. These guys all need a good women.

This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. Badger is book five in the rooster’s series and the first book of this series that I have read. The writing style for this story is easy to follow, the characters are likeable and the storyline is enjoyable. I read this book in one sitting and wanted more.
I liked that Badger had saved Adalia when she was thirteen. He went to prison for ten years for killing Adalia’s rapist. After being released from prison, Badger doesn’t expect to see Adalia. But he soon learns that his president adopted Adalia and that she was part of the Devil’s fury MC family. Badger tried to resist Adalia because of the age difference and because he feels like he isn’t good enough for her. HOLY FREAKIN WOW!
This is Badger and Adalia's story. Badger is a member of Devil's Fury MC and has spent the last 10 years of his life in prison for killing a man he found raping a young girl. That girl was Adalia and she was raised in foster care most of her life. Over the years he has always wondered what ever happened to that sweet little girl, so the day of his release he gets to the clubhouse and finds out that after he was sent away her foster family didn't want a damaged girl and she gets adopted by Griz who's the President of the Devil's Fury and his wife May. When Badger walks into the clubhouse looking for her he's knocked on his @ss by the gorgeous woman Adalia has grown into and gets instantly hard and when she comes up to hug him he gets even harder and he's furious with himself for his reaction to her but he has no idea that Adalia has waited all these years for him. Even everyone the club including Griz knows how she has always felt about Badger. So that night when he shows up on her doorstep he's kicking himself in the @ss for wanting her wrapped around him. She's like a breath of fresh air for him and he's her dream come true. They spend the most spectacular night together and even though Adalia was raped she has saved herself for him and it's amazing. He fights it but she just keeps pushing forward and feelings get stronger. Can he get through his feelings he never saw coming? I laughed at their playfulness and I cried for the loss the MC suffered. This series hits everything for me. I felt such a plethora of emotions and I loved every minute of it. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for more. Each story has a HEA. Oh and did I mention the sex? The absolutely off the charts SMOKIN HOT sex? WOOH! I extremely recommend this series to everyone!

Badger is finally free. After spending a decade in jail for beating a man to death, he is out and ready to get back to his life. He doesn't regret what he did, he would do it again if it kept that little girl from being brutalized. When he walks back into the clubhouse, he discovers that he doesn't have to wonder how that girl turned out. Adalia is now a woman and she is part of the club, adopted by the President and his old lady. Adalia knows that Badger is a hero, no matter what he says. Her crush as a girl stayed with her. She couldn't see herself with anyone else. Badger doesn't see how he could possible act on his attraction to Adalia, she is younger than him and too sweet for the MC life. There is no way they could work, is there?
OH my, oh my Badger is straight up my favorite of Harley Wylde's characters! I absolutely adore him. He didn't think twice about saving Adalia and didn't even flinch at going to prison for what he did. It was a small price to pay in his mind. His life was so rough yet he didn't harden his heart. He makes a few mistakes along the way to happiness with Adalia but all in all, he was just so freaking gorgeous inside and out. Adalia is quite possibly my favorite female character as well. Her strength, her love for Badger, her personality, I couldn't help but love her. This will be on my rotation of re-reads for sure!

From the very first page I enjoyed reading about Badger's character. You could tell that in his mind he was going to try and not look at Adalia as a grown woman, but that didn't work. Adalia had her mind and heart set on him. I was happy to see that Griz didn't try and separate them when he found out what was going on, and even happier that Badger didn't run away. The scene from the doctors office with the little boy had me laughing out loud.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to read more about this MC in the future.

I really liked this book about Badger and Adalia. Badger feels like he's no good for anyone, before he went to prison for killing a man who raped and abused Adalia, he finally gets out of prison and theirs a party for him, and all he can think about his seeing Adalia and she has grown into a woman, who is now Griz and Millie's daughter. Of course that doesn't stop his feelings for her and that night they have a hot relationship going. I hate to spoil so you just need to read the book! I've read all of the books in this series about hot alpha bikers, what's not to love.

Badger and Adalia's story will touch your heart and have you in their corners to make it to a happily ever after. Neither started off with a stable home life. Adalia was adopted by Grizzly after she was attacked and given up by her foster parents. Badger came to her aid and was rewarded with ten years in prison. Now he is out and Adalia couldn't be happier. She has worshiped the ground Badger walks on for a long time and now that he is out of prison, she will stop at nothing to be a part of his life, but will Badger feel the same way given how he was brought up and what he has experience?

I love anything with Harley wylde's writing. I'm glad to be able to read these so early. These stories and characters are nearly an addiction for me. Especially the way that badgers personality is in this awesome read.

Badger and Adalia are cute together. He’s her super hero and she’s his angel. It’s not all roses and chocolates but the journey they embark on is heartwarming. I love these fast paced, steamy stories. Can’t get enough of them.
