First Love #3

First Lust

Rate this book
Why did my brother’s best friend have to be so damn sexy?
Teddy was back, and lightning strikes the same place twice.
I didn’t want to say no to him anymore.

This is the third book in the First Love series, all with a "my best friend's little sister romance" theme!

I was shocked to find out who Callie was.
Before she was a memory from long ago.
A damn good one, I might add.
Now she was my best friend’s sister.
And my new boss.
It’s complicated.
And seeing her naked in my mind every meeting isn’t helping.

Teddy tended to show up at just the right moment.
Each time he’s popped into my life at a bad time, making it better.
I couldn’t forget the way I felt in his arms or underneath him.
The way his teeth felt nibbling on my neck…
Teddy was still the man that I desired.
Still the man that I wanted to feel deep inside me.

Starts off sad with deaths. Then a brother and sister meet, for the first time. End up living in the family mansion together, along with running the family business.

A sexy, book with Callie and Teddy the two main characters who have a ton of chemistry. To bad Callie ends up with an overly protective brother David that causes problems with her sex life. While David gets wilder, with his new position and wealth. Seems Callie has a new brother to put his nose in her sex life.

However, a passion like Callie and Teddies is not something that cat be put on the back burner for long. As much as they try, Callie for her brother and Teddy for his best friend David, too keep away from each other. Their passion and ultimately their feelings are to much.

A good story, I enjoyed quite a lot. I did feel the brother was overbearing considering him and his sister hadn't know each other that long. The story was good though. I liked the characters and story.

I received this ARC from the Author, the review is my personal opinion on what I read.

This was an okay read. I normally like this authors books but this one didn't cut it for me. Callie meets Ted one night at a bar and then doesn't see him until a few years later. He ends up being her brothers best friend. I can honestly say that this would have gone better if they had just left out her brother. He really was useless and I never quite cared for him. The only good thing is in the end Callie and Ted got to have their happy ending.

I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book. I really enjoyed this book it was really different, the only thing is that I wanted more at the ending.
Callie had just broken up with her boyfriend of six months and was having him move out of the apartment. She didn’t want to stay in the place alone the first night the silence was getting to her and Quing were not having much of a life together the last few months. So she decided to get dressed up and go out and have a few drinks. At the club she met Teddy whom she calls Teddy and they instantly hit it off. They went back to his apartment and got acquainted; so to speak.
Then it is five years later; Callie’s parents had been in an accident and each had died a week after the other. She was in the lawyer’s office with other people that she didn’t know why they were even there because she was here for the reading of the will. She noticed a young man a few years older than her; she had never seen him before and didn’t know who he was. As the lawyer read out the will, it stated that she would run the company but everything would be split 50/50 between her and her brother. Now that shock Callie because she didn’t have a brother she was an only child. This is where the lawyer took her by the hand and explained that when her parents were young they had gotten pregnant but they felt that they were too young to raise a child so they put him up for adoption and his name was David Vidall. It was then that the young man in the room head jerked up in complete and total shock. He didn’t know who his birth parents were and was just finding out as well as Callie.
Callie decided that this was really a blessing because she wasn’t going to be alone after all. David it appears had been working in the factory on the line and for some reason she had never noticed him out there when she had gone out. So she thought it best that he be the manager of the factory while she did the work in the office because she knew more about marketing and sales. David moved into the mansion with her and he also told her that he was going to have someone else help him as a second. The next morning David introduced Callie to his new Line Supervisor Ted; or as Callie knew him as Teddy.
Things got a little sticky here on out. The both of them had never forgotten the other after that night five years ago. But David didn’t want Ted to be in that way with Callie because he thought he was a womanizer because he could never get over the one that got away. David was suddenly becoming the very over protective brother. All sorts of things happen in this story, things that you the read need to find out I can’t spill the beans on this one and it would be too easy to do. It is a good book.

Callie was getting over a break up and went to a club one night. There she met Teddy. Tall and gorgeous and oh so s@xy!  They had a night of red hot passion and said good bye.  Five years later her parents die and she is introduced to a brother, David, whom she knew nothing about before.  So the two are to run their dad's business together and all is going well until he brings in his best friend, Ted, to be second in command whilst he ran the factory and Callie ran the office. Guess who Ted is?  No he's not Ted - he's TEDDY!!!!!  They've  both thought of each other over the years and this is their chance to get to know each other even better.  I really loved Teddy as he was such fun and yet so sensible, mature, caring and knew what he was doing.  Callie is a great character but I don't know why she puts up with David's bully-boy childish attitude. If I found out that I had a brother like that he would still have to be respectful and not domineering and rude just for the sake of it.  As you can tell - I do not like David at all - he seemed okay at first but just slowly deteriorated in my mind.  As you probably also can tell, I did enjoy this story very much as it was generally very well written [a few typos]  and a fantastic storyline!  Lauren Woods  has pulled out all the stops to give us this great book and I look forward to even more from this USA top best selling author!I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.  Get your own copy now - definitely recommended!!

FUN, Feisty and FIREWORKS galore, a great romance!
“FIRST LUST,” the newest offering by Lauren Wood was just the thing I needed today. Leaky faucets, fighting children, even bills were escaped through reading this great “learning how to adult,” second chance ROMANCE. The chemistry was rocking, steamy and sensuous, a typical earmark of any Lauren Wood story! The characters were human, flawed, yet so easy to like and root for as they did their best to rise to the challenges they had to face, overcome and work with while doing their best to keep all of those who depended upon them employed, happy, and safe. Acting like an adult, or “adulting” as we call it in my family, is never easy. But if the adulting is approached with the right attitude, and as Callie and Ted found out, the right person; being an adult can be a blast. So, raise the toast to adulting today, and purchase your copy of Lauren Wood’s “FIRST LUST”! You’ll be so glad you did! I received an ARC copy of “FIRST LUST” to prepare this honest, voluntary review. It is a 5-star, STRONGLY recommended read that will end up in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle! Happy pages! 😉

This was an amazing and beautiful love story with intrigue, steamy passion that continues to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. An engaging story that will keep you captivated and glued to the pages of this fascinating storyline, and the momentum of the story keeps you wanting to read more. This is a story about Callie and Ted and their lust/desire for each other. Callie meets Ted in a bar and she has a one-night stand—something that will change her life forever. Callie is surprised to see Ted several years later. It is complicated because now she is his boss—the lust/desire is still there. FIRST LUST was everything I hoped it would be—emotional, angst, and fascinating from the beginning until the end. This was a perfect blend of steam, angst, and a little humor. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. The book will pique your interest and draw you in from the beginning to the very end.

I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review. Callie was a very hot natured woman. She had given up her true feelings about her nature when she started living with Qing. He was not giving her what she needed and she was tired of arguing. They decided to split up. Now that Qing was gone it was time to feed the hungry tigress in her. She dressed in her finest LBD and went to the club. There she met Ted, (Theodore, Teddy) her name for him was Teddy and he liked being called that. He took her to his place and they had a great time. Callie never looked back. Five years later her mom and dad were killed in an accident and at the reading of the will there was a stranger, a young man a little older than Callie. Turns out her was her older brother, David, and was given up for adoption because her parents couldn't afford a child at the time of his birth. They now were the owners of the family business. Turns out that Teddy was David's best friend. They all worked for the company and had never seen each other.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the romance between Teddy and Callie. Callie broke up with her boyfriend she met while in prison in Cambodia, as featured in the book First Taste. Callie was feeling low and went to a bar where she met Ted and they had a one night stand. Five years later, her parents died and when the will was read, she found out she had a secret brother David and they were given their parent's company to run together. David promoted one of his friends who he worked with at the factory and Callie was shocked to see it was Ted. Ted thinks he now has a second chance with the woman who got away when he sees Callie, but she is unsure if she wants to be with him. When Ted and Callie try to reconnect, it seems like things get in the way, including David who doesn't want Callie dating at all. I liked this book, i liked that Ted really wanted to be with Callie and knew he had to win her back. Callie was an independent woman who wanted love, but she didn't want to jeopardize her new relationship with her brother. Good one.

When Callie ends her relationship with her boyfriend she heads out to a club to lose herself in music instead of the silent apartment. She meets Teddy that night and they share an incredible night together. Now five years later she finds out at the reading of her parents will that she has an older brother and he own half of everything with her. She got to know her brother a little before they jumped into work but nothing could've prepared her for finding out that her Teddy was his best friend Ted. Callie starts thinking that maybe they could rekindle what they had before but after an awkward moment she tries to remain professional towards him. However Ted isn't about to miss out on his second chance with Callie the woman he still dreams about. What will happen when her brother learns about them?

This is a great story and once I started this I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Callie and Teddy is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This book is about Callie and Teddy.
It all starts to unravel with a lot of confusion and fights. David does not accept this relationship and gets really protective of his sister. However, after a situation of misunderstandings, David assumes that his best friend is indeed best for Callie.

I enjoyed reading this, it was quick and funny. However, it was too quick, there were so many things left hanging at the end that I really thought my arc was missing the final part. Like, what about the blackmail? Did they do something about it? And David, it's okay with their relationship?
Things like these get my attention and I really enjoy a good closure and I didn't find one in this book. So, that's it, I think it needs a little more chapters or maybe an epilogue closing up everything. But, that's just my opinion. :)

Good short romance, perhaps a little too descriptive, but the relationship is not linear, the story has kept my attention. In the end, I enjoyed this unpretentious story.
Callie is single after her last relationship, she decides to go out to a club to dance and drink. She meets Ted (Theodore) and is immediately attracted to him and they spend the night together.
Five years later, when she reads her parents's will, she discovers that she has a brother who inherits half of her parents's factory. The best friend of his brother is none other than Ted. However, with his reputation as a womanizer, and Callie having surprised him in a compromising situation, she does not want to give in, even if she is still attracted to him and vice versa.I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

ONE STICKY SITUATION!!!
Talk about out of the frying pan into the fire. Whew! This is one hot number. The characters are well developed and believable with just the right amount of flaws to add realism. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits each have that balance out perfectly. They play off each other and they take on a life of their own. And man, do I love the way they flow smoothly. The scenes are vividly detailed and so realistic it paints a fantastic backdrop that adds flavor to the mix. The two main characters have such a strong connection that adds HEAT and sizzling chemistry. Twists and a few surprises keep you captivate until the last word. Lauren never disappoints with her style and insight. Her imagination knows no bounds and she always brings her A-game out to play. Fantastic job Lauren, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

First List by Lauren Wood 7/16-7/17/2018
4 stars This was a very good contemporary romance. Called was wilder in her younger years but she's recently suffered a loss. Suddenly, her entire life is turned upside down. At the reading of her father's will she finds out that she has an older brother, David. It also turns out she had a one night stand with his best friend, Ted. Turns out that Callie and Teddy have a history her new brother knows nothing about. The characters were well developed but the book felt rushed and I wasn't done of the ending. It is a standalone with soft of a HEA. I don't know if I missed part of the ebook or not. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I enjoy books by Ms. Wood.

Wow what an amazing story.
This is about Callie told her boyfriend "it's over" . She decided to go for a drink at the local bar. She met a guy she called Teddy, who awakened feelings in her that she thought never existed. I'm not going to spoil the story . Though I can you that this story is a real page turner, action packed, humour,
Funny, whitty remarks, steamy, The characters description is very realistic, great dialogue from page one to the very last page. Few twists in the story plot, that made the story more exhilarating.

What a great read. Super addictive I couldn’t put it down.
Callie and Teddy meet one night in a club. Callie just wanted a quick hook up to get over a break up. The chemistry between is sizzlingly hot smoking hot.
Then five years later Callie loses her parent and gains a brother and who is his best friend? Teddy
This is a second chance romance and some of the obstacle in their way look too big to climb but they must do it together.
I did feel the ending was rushed and that’s the only reason this book isn’t getting a 5 star. This book is 4.9999 stars
Highly recommend this book and author.

Lauren can sure spice up a story leaving you wiggling in your seat. I don't like giving the story away so I'll give you some highlights. Ted and Callie's story began in a bar with a one night stand however they meet again five years later under unusual circumstances, but they never forgot one another. There's no shortage of elements of surprise in here along with hard to resist temptations, and somethings aren't what you think they are. This book is sultry, steamy, hot as hell, the kind of book that will melt your panties or maybe it's the men that does that to you , 💕

A great story that will grab your heart right at the beginning and take you on an emotional roller coaster. Teddy and Callie are great characters with lots of depth and chemistry that's off the charts. Lots of plot twists and some usuals like brother's best friend, boss/employee, first crush, second chances, etc. No shortage of drama or page-turning suspense. An HEA of course. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.

First Lust...

Very interesting story. After telling her boyfriend to get lost, Callie meets a stranger at a bar. What follows is one night that they both never forgets. Fast forward to Callie finding out she has a brother. Guess who's her brother's best friend? Is Teddy the womanizer she thinks? Will Callie tame him? Is there a HEA in the future for them? Read to find out.

I like Lauren Woods stories a lot but this one was not one of the best from her pen. It was very confusing in the beginning and I did not get in touch with the characters. Their chemistry did not come through to me. It lacked depth to the story in the beginning and suddenly it had a lot of information and it all was a kind of a blur.
It is short and could have benefitted in being longer with more passion but it is worth the read in spite of that.

What?

This was a goo twist to the brother's best friend books I've read before.
There's just a few things I'm missing..... What happened to part of the story...maybe I missed it...I guess I'll just have to read the book again. But, It just seemed to be missing soo much in between the 20th chapter to the last...

As always, any opinions expressed in this review, are made solely and completely by me. And I have voluntarily leave this review.

This interesting, second chance romance was a pleasure to read, and I really enjoyed reading it
What you will find in this book is: action, drama, twists & turns, obstacles, surprises, emotional issues, passion, love & steamy scenes.
The story-line is impressive & well-written, it keeps the reader’s attention. The characters are well developed with individual personalities and realistic with their emotional feelings. I would recommend this book.

This rating is just sad because I expected so much more from this story. The story line was a good idea, but the delivery was lacking. Overall, it was choppy, it didn't flow. It ended abruptly. There was no conclusion to a few of the situations in the book. The spelling and grammar were atrocious. And the characters were stagnant. There was no growth, no change and no understanding whatsoever with the three main characters. I was honestly and truly disappointed and almost couldn't finish it.

This story was slow to begin with, but became increasingly enticing to the point where I could not put it down. I feel like the ending was incomplete, I wanted- for lack of a better word- more. I wanted to know more than what I was told; it came to a point where I just couldn't put this book down. Over all, this novel deserves a high rating because it was deliciously good.
