Her real name is Prudence but friends and family call her "Pro." But despite the nickname, she feels like a bumbling novice at, well, everything. Especially relationships.
Yes, she was a superstar as a kid, but as a woman by herself in the big city, Pro doesn't always feel like she's living up to her nickname. These days she can't get a win. One day she'll be struggling to pay for rent. The next she'll be dealing with the downfalls of internet dating. She's all alone in the big city and fighting to keep her business afloat while trying to find love, and none of these things are going her way.
When Pro finally lands her dream client she takes herself out to bask in her small success, but her celebration gets sacked when she catches her new guy out on the town with another girl! Hurt, upset, and a hot mess, Pro abandons her night of celebration in tears, running out of a champagne lounge and accidentally slamming into the chest of a man on the street–David.
Kind, considerate, and absolutely massive, David plays for a local professional football team. Nicknamed "Meat Mountain," he's huge everywhere and has rich brown eyes, a chiseled face, and a heart of gold.
Eventually Pro starts living up to her superstar nickname. She’s got it all going on!
But if it’s not one thing, it’s another. From a dangerously jealous coworker to mixed messages to a media frenzy, lots of things seem to be trying to stand between Pro and her happily ever after.
Will somebody end up with a ring at the end of these season?
Read the steamy, yet sweet, Going Pro series to find out.
So I wanted to like this book but it just fell short in some spots. Pro was very immature and, as a 24 year old, her saying that being “25 is practically a child” annoyed the heck out of me to be honest. If you are able to move out on your own and be self sufficient, you keep learning as you go. It felt like the heroine was just too weak willed. It was an okay story line but I didn’t feel much development overall.
I love when an entire series is put together so I can bring read through the whole thing at one time!! Loved this story and the sweetness you see from David. Pro definitely found herself a good one and they make the cutest couple!
This was a fun read. It starts off with Prudence aka Pro being hurt by her boyfriend. Ending up meeting David aka Meat Mountain. This was his last year as a professional football player. They had their ups and downs. Loved that there was no cheating on this book. Just some, ok a lot of, hot steamy parts. You will enjoy this book of you enjoy sports romance.
Didn’t like Pro at all. I will never understand how important it seems to be to write heroines who are inconsiderate, suspicious and secretive but justify it with past hurts or trauma. It was just one thing after another with her and David was literally written just to screw and smile at her through it all. Nonsensical. Unhealthy.
I love a good sports / jock romance and this one is very enjoyable. The characters are relatable. It doesn't have action and adventure. Just a building romance to a happy ending.
I am not a sports fan. I do not watch sports on TV at all but I do love reading sports romance and this one did not disappoint. I did not want to stop reading when it ended. I wanted more!
This book was absolutely awesome. I couldn't put it down. The characters they will make you want to stand up for them. They had a hard time in this story.
