After Reese wakes up, Connor falls in love with the baby's father as well. Connor and Reese, both being afraid to enter into a relationship, start to develop feelings for the other, and bond over their love for little Sammy. Unfortunate and scary events unfold before the three of them, and their relationship and balance gets rocked, forcing them to make difficult and hard decisions. Connor wasn't looking for a relationship or a family, but that is indeed what he needs and discovers that he loves having them.
I really enjoyed reading the book and I sympathized with the characters, especially Reese when he was forced to make a decision regarding the safety of his child versus the safety of the love of his life. I always appreciate books when the characters are well written, giving them the characteristics and feelings resembling those of real people. I am glad that I got the opportunity to read this book and am looking forward to reading more books by the author.
