Quin Perin presents “Obsessed” - A best-selling Gay Erotic Romance

All Meik cares about is lust, not love.

An eager boy toy, that’s what he’s looking for. Someone who worships the ground he walks on. The very second he lays eyes on the enigmatic, street musician Sebastian, he believes he found his new playmate. Obsessed with the young man, Meik introduces him to a world full of sins and desire until the man’s presence threatens to reveal dark memories he had locked away tightly.

This is the first book of the Gay Erotic Romance “Obsessed” and features explicit adult m/m content. The book ends on a cliffhanger but can be read as a standalone. This part does not entail any romantic elements.

"Naughty boys get punished,"

Well this is pretty filthy and I don't know what it says about me but I liked it....A LOT!

I'm not sure if it's meant to be taken too seriously? Basically it is what it is....erotica.

Meik is a controlling asshole and I loved him. He's not really bothered about how he gets his kicks but after a dirty encounter in an alley with Sebastian he finds himself getting just a bit obsessed....

Seems one time wasn't enough...

There's,

-dirty talk,

-a bit of spanking,

-bossy bedroom antics,

-a bit of a D/s thing going on,

-no romance, although I've got a feeling that might develop.

Free on Amazon now,I think,so if you fancy a hot quickie go grab it.

Meik & Sebastian (Obsessed #1) does what It says on the tin.
It was a super dirty hot bite-sized portion of erotica.
One that I needed a good scrub to wash away the filth after reading.
This was Decadent and Dirty with capital D's.
This is exactly what it promises, not a romance but a step through the looking glass into Meik's hedonistic lifestyle, where he unapologetically engages a young musician he observes busking into everything that is sensual, filthy and hot.
introducing and initiating the young Sebastian into a whirlpool of pleasure and indulgence.
This was a short read the first part of a novella series and though short was packed in more ways than one.
Meik himself is a bit of an ass but no matter the lovely Sebastian more than makes up for the formers antics.
Will be interesting to see where this one goes.
This is one rude, explicit, indulgence and is currently free on Amazon if you want to give it a whirl.
All opinions are entirely my own.

I was hoping for something twisted and dirty like Cordelia Kingsbridge's Boston Verse (yes I realize I set the bar too high), but this felt so incredibly amateurish. Not for me.

I don't need fictional characters to be in a relationship to enjoy erotica, but I do need to like a main protagonist in order to begin to care about their story. Even those who act as arseholes to begin with. In this book the MC was so disagreeable I wished for him to have a fatal accident of some sort by the time chapter two rolled around. This story was obviously not for me.

Pretty delicious depiction. I could see all the amazing details of the simultaneously moving bodies. It was quite delightful dirty and filthy.
Maik found Sebastian on the streets and can’t get him out of his mind.
Maik got everything... and now he wants the beautiful fragile Sebastian... for his own pleasure.
He wants to color that pale skin... First... he has to find him.

Loved this shortie very much. The images it brought to life were strong and clear.
#2 here I cum

“You’re about as charming as a headache.” (This summarizes the whole book for me!)
First and foremost, what person doesn't know their secretary's name?THE HELL?!😒😒😒Secondly, Meik is the biggest A-hole ever💩💩💩 , really dumb for the "successful businessman" he is and has the sexual drive of an incubus!

If a book is billed as erotica, I gotta say I have certain expectations and this book didn’t live up to those expectations. This book is not a romance; it’s mentioned in the blurb, and that’s fine with me. The story, however, is told from Meik’s point of view and I felt no connection to Meik. He’s wealthy and he has men and women falling all over themselves for him, but at this stage of the billionaire hero trope in romance, I need something other than that. We hear about Meik’s business and clients, but it’s never disclosed what exactly he does and he wasn’t a well-developed character.

So the things I liked about this book, I really liked. Sebastian's character is fantastic and I will definitely read the next one, just to find out what he does next.

The sex was pretty good - the big selling point by these authors is the fact that the stories are erotica, not romances, and should be enjoyed for that sake alone. They can say that, but I can't believe some feelings aren't going to come into play for Meik and Sebastian - Sebastian's character is too sweet and Meik has definitely got some karma that's going to be catching up with him.

There were a couple awesome surprises in Obsessed #1 that worked really well for me. I'm not giving them away here!

What keeps me from giving this one four stars is the whole pronoun problem. There were so many 'he' 'his' 'him's in the beginning of the story it got distracting for me, not to mention a bit confusing. Who's what is going where? Then once Sebastian gets into the picture, the authors start to vary it up with alternatives like 'the blond' and 'the older man' but there's still a whole lot of 'he' 'his' and 'him's.

Once the authors figure it all out I think this series has great potential.

I like authors who's honest and open to their readers. These two authors are one of them.
In the beginning of this book, they explained that this is not a romance, this is an erotica, sexual adventure of Sebastian and Meik. so, don't expect any romantic moments between the two MCs.
This is a well written erotica, and if you're open up with their adventure, Obsessed is quite enjoyable.
I would like to read their next story in the future, better continue with this series I hope.

Wasn't bad at all--it was just *pure* smut and I need a little more romance and more fleshed-out characters in my books. Another review said that a romance may emerge, so I'll keep with the series and read book #2 as well.

3.5 star review by The Blogger Girls.

This is the perfect afternoon quickie kind of story. It delivers pretty much exactly what the authors warn about – it is not a romance, it’s a hot erotica type, aggressive gay sexfest. As such, and as the title indicates, Meik is the one obsessed.

The story is definitely over the top with Meik hiring secretaries and assistants based on their ability to get on their knees for him. Unfortunately, other than being told what a success he is, we don’t really learn much about what he does, and the other details about him are rather lacking leaving a bit of a disconnect with his character. On the other hand, there is Sebastian, the street musician with whom Meik becomes obsessed. Other than believing he lives on the streets and is able to handle Meik and his domineering ways, we don’t really get to know him very well either.

However, as this is the first installment, I am hopeful we will get a little more in the way of character development in the future installments. This was a really fast read, and by the end, I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know more about each of them and how they would end up. So, if you are looking for something on the not too involved side, with hot and hard sex, be sure to give this freebie a go, and definitely be ready to jump into the next installment, like I was.

This short was definitely steamy and that is exactly what the authors were going for.

When we first meet Meik, all I could think about was how big his ego was and how much of a d-bag he was. Unfortunately for me, this lasted throughout the short story and his arrogance made me want to plummet him, so I could not really like his character.

I will say that the author gave us exactly what they said they would, no romance, pure erotica. I am generally completely okay with that, but the MC is a total a-hole and a little bit of a sexual predator (I mean come on, his secretary? Let's talk about power imbalance and offering people raises for sexual favors), in which case I cannot get into it.

I think for me, if we would have gotten Sebastian's POV once, just so that I can see his side, then I would have felt better about reading this story. If you are looking for a short with some hot scenes and do not mind too much that the MC is a bit of a jerk, then you will definitely enjoy this story!

My complaint? Too short!! Too short!! Thank God there's a book two coming out!

So Meik is a bad dude; noted. I don't mean he murders people, but he's definitely a sexy beast who sees and takes what he wants. Enter Sebastian: super sexy, super pretty guitar player. Meik has to have him ... and he does, many times.

The fun of this novella is that we don't wade through backstory. I understand there's a time and place for complex character development, but there's also a time for yummy yummy smut. Some days, a girl just wants smut. Quin Perin (actually a writing duo) are really good at smut. This is some delicious stuff, folks, especially some of the bedroom dialogue. And the alley scene. And the shower. And just, well, everything.

Excellent writing. Excellent sex. And yes, I'm in a huge Timothee Chalamet haze right now, so when Sebastian's description was basically Timothee, I may have squealed and got comfy. I read this in one sitting; now, gimme book two.

Oh My...

Over and over again, the young man took it, his body rocking forward with the bed. Little sobs, little moans. Sebastian had surrendered to him. He was his. Every little piece of purity now belonged to him.

This is just tasty tasty...cannot wait to see where things go from here!!

Short and Sweet🍬! No! Make that Long🍦 and Hard!

The authors cram a lot of hard core smutty detail into a novella length novel detailing a successful gay man's search for his perfect younger partner.
Bummer though, this fantasy tale ends in a cliffhanger.

I'm obsessed with Meik and Sebastian

Meik has everything but he bored, same old same old over and over again. Until he meets Sebastian a street musician who entises him and all of a sudden he's obsessed with him. Nothing but the musical himself will satisfy him. Quick and smutty read.

This novella really hit all the right filthy and sexy notes. I’m really enjoying reading these authors because even though this had a strong emphasis on erotica, it still held enough of a plot and had an emotional pull to it that kept me engaged. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing whether the authors go with the story, especially as the ending is very abrupt. 5 stars for a successfully filthy beginning.

I always love being introduced to new authors! These 2 are quite a pair!! They set out to level up the smut and they totally delivered.

This super hawwwt M/M erotic novella grabbed me from page one! Meik is a rich bad boy with a chip on his shoulder, he is bored and looking to change things up. Sultry, singer Sebastian may be just the guy to do it!

Together they are off the charts panty melting. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for them next!!

This book comes with a warning and it needs it in a good way. It’s seriously hot like don’t not read in public hot...

Sebastian is a struggling musician with dark hair and beautiful pale skin and when Meik sees him he has to have him.
No one has satisfied Meik in such a long time he is bored of it all and wants something new and exciting and when he and Sebastian meet its hot from the start.

This isn’t a love story it’s an obsession and I can’t wait to get more. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for some erotica done right.

‘His mind skittered from thought to thought and kept landing on the same one despite his best efforts: Sebastian.’

Authors Quin Perin (yes, plural) are two gay erotica writers based in the US and Germany who write stories featuring fire, lust and desire. MAIK&SEBASTIAN: OBSESSED is their debut novel.

The book is short and concentrates on erotica on every page – to the point that quoting sections of the book to demonstrate the quality to readers would doubtless be censored in a review.

Suffice it to say that despite the authors’ seemingly tossed off works for the arousal of the reader, the quality of the writing is actually very fine. The pacing of the ‘encounters’ and the conversations between Meik and Sebastian are vivid and penetrating.

The authors own synopsis allows a peak at the content – ‘Meik Lennen has everything a man could want. A successful company. More money than he knows what to do with. Men and women falling to their knees in front of him, practically begging him to dominate them. Everything a man could want with only one problem: he's bored of it all. Bored of the same old things and the greyness of his life, until......he catches sight of Sebastian, an enigmatic twenty-year-old street musician, who rips him out of his dull daze. Obsessed with the young man, Meik lures him in and offers him a peek into a world of sins and desire. But soon Sebastian begins to twist his way into his consciousness, threatening to reveal dark memories Meik had locked away tightly.’

For further investigation of Meik’s past and the well-described interaction between the psyches of the characters is left for the reader to discover. Just rest assured the gentlemen keep their promise about what they feature as a style – the surprise is that they write it so well! It will be interesting to see how this project progresses as it is bound to find a receptive audience of readers.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I purchased my copy of this book.

SHORT!!! SO bloody short!

I did know that going in, that it was only some 70 odd pages, but those pages got eaten up so quickly, I blinked and the whole book was finished!

Not the story, just THIS part of it.

Meik is, by his own words, bored. Bored of his day to day life; of the endless supply of secretaries (both male and female) willing to get down on their knees under his desk for the chance of a pay rise. Wandering the streets, a few guitar notes pull him in, and Meik is obsessed with Sebastian. It really is the only word that fits!!

After a blow job in the alley, Meik wants more of Sebastian, but he can't find him, and the longer Meik can't find him, the more he MUST find him.

I'm gonna be incredibly frustrated with these books, I know I am. Here's why: if they keep coming in these short bursts, I'm gonna be so bloody impatient waiting for the next one, and I don't do patience when it comes to my books!

I loved this, it pushes all my buttons and then some. It's super sexy and super hot!

BUT!!!

It does only come from Meik's point of view and this is the ONLY reason I can't quite stretch to 5 full stars: single person point of view. Because of COURSE I wanted to hear from Sebastian! I need to know what was going through his head in the alley, and later, when Meik takes him home. I NEEDED to hear that, and I don't.

At this moment, this is NOT a romance. This is simply about Meik first obsessing over, and then possessing, Sebastian. Whether that will change, I have no idea, I really don't care, to be honest. Meik is nothing if not honest about what, or rather, WHO he wants. But I have a feeling he might surprise us, maybe even himself.

Can't wait to see what these two get up to!

SO, because only Meik has a say, and even though its so bloody short...

4.5 stars (rounded up to 5 for the blog)

First of all, THANK YOU Quin & Perin for noting right up front that there are no romantic elements to this installment of the story. I went in with different expectations and that allowed me to enjoy it. Because this is clearly the start to a series, I'm reviewing from the perspective that this is an introduction. Additionally, the authors noted that this is intended to be over-the-top and unrealistic. As long as they admit it, I'm happy to roll with it.

Meik is an unapologetic, narcissistic man-whore and is not easy to like. He's alpha to the extreme and does not take the feelings of his partners into consideration. The whole story is in his POV.

Sebastian seems to be just what Meik is looking for. He takes everything Meik dishes out and asks for more. I think a fairly dynamic character may lurk beneath the surface. I would have loved to get some of his POV, but maybe we'll get that later.

The erotica was written very well. I felt the chemistry without the romance, which is sometimes tough for me.

Like I mentioned before, I'm reviewing this from the perspective that it is an introduction. There is no character or story development here. It's just smut. With that being said, something about this worked for me. I thought it was just going to be meh, but as I got towards the end, I found myself more and more involved, and I even started to like Meik a little bit. Sebastian's need for Meik was palpable and him being a virgin was just icing on the cake.

This was well-edited. My only complaint about the writing style is that there was a lot of pronoun swapping. Sebastian was often 'the musician' or 'the younger man', which always yanks me out of the story.

I look forward to the next installment. I feel like this could go somewhere great. It's hard to balance heavy smut and a great story, so I'm crossing my fingers! :)

Bold title font, but the rest of the type set is small and hardly noticed when skimming through covers, looking for the next read. The subject on the cover is so obscured in shadow, he's almost missed.
Synopsis did not sound like something I'd often read but was willing to give it a try at the author's request.

> > Looking Deeper < <
POV ~> third person

This was a DNF for me at 54% only because I prefer more plot and romance to full-on smut. Meik was an arrogant, cocky prick that seemed to objectify everyone he came in contact with. Sebastian was little seen up to this point so I cannot really provide a comment on him. Lillie seemed to be an enjoyable secondary character with a take-no-crap attitude. The writing itself was good and the pages flowed nicely, it's just the content that was not to my taste. As stated, I prefer a full story with a rich and dynamic plot and well-developed characters.

Well, this book was something different.

First of all, I didn't like Meik at all. How he used people like they didn't matter or had feelings, that was also weird because the characters being used seemed ok with it. I can't understand that, it seemed so unrealistic for me or maybe it's just that I'm not that type of person.

On the other hand, this book was really short so I couldn't actually get to know Sebastian which is sad because I'm interested in his personality. I think that's the main reason I want to read the next book and also to see if Meik starts being a better person.

There is a female character that I loved, though. Lillie was amazing, so powerful and down to earth. I liked how she didn't allowed Meik to do whatever he wanted and told him what he needed to hear to stop being an as**ole.

This book is very easy and quick to read but again because it's really short nothing much happens. Maybe I'm not such a big fan of short books :/

Oh, I just remembered one thing that I HATED, of course being erotica there were a lot sex scenes but I just can't stand when there is gagging and I hate it even more when the person starts crying.

So HOT!

Every page will get the fire burning and the readers temperature raising! This is erotica at it's best, it's well written and the characters are well developed. Meik is rich and has a short attention span. He bores easily his female Secretary isn't settling him at the moment so he decides to try a male p.a.
Meik spots Sebastian on the street he stops to watch the musician play and sing and he finds his interest pinged.
Their meeting is hot! and it is obvious that Meik has found someone with submissive tendencies. Just what he likes. Meik walks away but can't get Sebastian out of his head.
Meik returns to the street in search of Sebastian and when he finds him the sparks begin to fly.
This book is two authors writing together and finding a fluid seamless way of writing which makes for a great book. In this book you get to see a small part of Meik and Sebastian and I hope in the next book we get to see a little more of them coming forward. This book was a great short read and I look forward to the next book.
