Rate this book
This luminous deck makes it easy to bring crystal energy to everyday life. Each card features a photo of a gorgeous crystal on the front and an illuminating description of the stone's powers on the back (such as why to use serpentine for a fresh start; ametrine for indecision; and kunzite for love). Users can select a crystal based on their needs or pull a card at random to see what the universe has in store. Curated by the makers of Stone, an app for crystal healing, and brimming with positive energy, this deck is a practical and beautiful accessory for modern mystics and spirituality seekers.

I found this to be super helpful, although obviously not inclusive with only 78 featured crystals. The explanations of benefits of each crystal were very clear cut and gave me just enough information to not be overwhelming. I even downloaded the app to carry in my pocket as a reference

This is a 3.5. Gorgeous cards with a picture of the stone on one side and an interpretation and mantra on the other. Unfortunately, the overly colloquial language comes across as more internet than oracle to me.

Unfortunately the information on the cards is written in a very vapid and ambiguous “New Age Internet speak”, and unless you’re fluent in this wording you won’t learn much, if anything, about the individual crystals. I found this extremely annoying. I planned to use these a flash cards to help with remembering crystal properties, but the lack of any real information on said properties makes it difficult for that use. The deck is said to be intended to be more like an Oracle deck, but this makes the flash card format with a mineral on the front and “information” on the back strange.

For example of the nonsense, the card for Diamond says:
“Who needs it: Who doesn’t?
Where to put it: Wherever you’d like to bling
When to use it: When you’ve just got to keep it icy (…)”

What on earth does any of that mean?

The photos of the minerals themselves are beautiful, but unfortunately that’s my only positive to say. As an oracle deck it is strange and difficult to use, and as an educational resource it is nearly worthless. Could possibly be used to familiarize with the names of crystals.
