‘Everyone has a Story‘ which is India’s first successful self published novel by a female author. An Amazon Bestseller will be now re-published by India’s top publisher Westland Books. The author of this novel is Savi Sharma, an inspirational writer.
Besides, Savi is also Chief Content Officer at Life & People where her role is to write, curate and publish interesting articles related to Positivity, Law of Attraction, Spirituality, Meditation, Healing, Success Stories, etc. which has helped in her personal and professional development.
Importantly she believes that it has given her a higher perspective of life and people which is very important for a storyteller.
"I want to be an inspirational fiction writer. Inspire people by everything I write. I want to write simple stories, about real and relatable characters. I strongly feel that’s what today’s generation need. An escape that brings them to reality. Give them courage, hope and strength. Yes, I would add romance and love in my writings but it won’t be for marketing. It would be because love is what we all need," says Savi.
Ah well, here we go again like few have pointed already more than a novel this read like a self-help book and oh and you already how much I hate those. So the story is okay and the writing is slightly better than the first book but the characters well they are just life coaches with nary a bad bones in their bodies, just ugh. And don't get me started on the ducking hell Fate. You wrote fate as a character so what's your genre now "Magical Realism" eh Savi?
Talk about counting your chickens before they hatch, and Savi boasts about the sales of this book at the end of the book and you would find everything an entire interview and more with our writer Meera but once again all the characters we meet just dispense such knowledge like they are acting in a motivation movie or are just walking fountain of knowledge. I would just like to tell Savi that she should focus on telling her stories rather than trying to motivate the readers. If I want to get motivated or learn from a book I would pick self-help (Shudders) or a non-fiction book.
But all the same, my views are my own, so you should pick this book read and form your own opinions and then just Keep on Reading.
People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genre but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books which are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.
Well, I would say there is a huge improvement with the second book as compared to the first one. There's some story with this one at least. The characters were getting settled. And too much drama regarding tragedies befalling in them when their lives were just turning up better. However, the mockery part of faith/destiny part was the weak point. Life doesn't wait for everyone to suffer as is depicted in the story. No one knows. Better let the story be and not make us believe when we are happy and prosperous something bad is always waiting at the corner. This kind of vibe isn't really needed when we read a good, romance fiction. However, it all depends on the writing style too. Didn't like it as much there too.
Everyone Has a Story 2 is the sequel to Savi Sharma’s previous book Everyone Has a Story. The book, just like its prequel, continues to narrate the story of its four main characters – Vivaan, Meera, Kabir, and Nisha. As the four are now entering the next phase of their lives, they struggle with the challenges that come with it.
Otherthan including 'fate' as a new character, this sequel tells a drained out story (probably the first itself) and readers tend to get worn out because of the excess use of self-motivating lines between the characters. The book again, tells a simple story, from where it stopped in its last book, about Meera, Vivaan, Kabir and Nisha. The story progresses without any problem until fate interferes (only thing that is refreshing in this story). Overall, this sequel is better than the first but still falls short of the author's other book-"This is not your story."
But I find that the author gets lost in some thoughts and kinda ends up over explaining some things in the process. Doesn’t seem light headed anymore. Too much complexity in characters through repetitive emotional explanation.
If I hear / read the line “hopes & dreams” again, I’ll scream!! Enjoyed the book in parts but I would have much rather heard the synopsis in 10 mins. I liked the subject but the execution didn’t live up. Haven’t read the first book, but think I know how that would go..
I was mid-way reading this, and fell asleep; and I swear I never had such a beautiful sound 4 hour sleep.
Then, I woke up and my habit of anyway finishing a book made me pick this again and God I alone know how I managed to crawl through it.
I got a freaking headache!
It’s boring and pathetic, except for it's quotes and the *tumbler inspiration*
To review it in a typical way :
Writing style - Good
Story - No, not this time. You cannot expect readers to have no sense of understanding. Literally just mixing up the reality of her life -- the best-selling author girl and whatever story of the prior one. No please, save yourself from this madness.
Epilogue - A Bollywood top notch masala ending. I'm sure here book will be converted to a Bollywood movie.
The writing skills that savi mam had got is an god Gifted to her. Everyone has Story, but not everyone could dare to do what this female has done. Inspired Millions of people and made Every One crazy for her. Now, the end of the book has came. There is another question arise. When she is Coming up with next. Every readers must agree that everyone had the same thought i am having.
When I read the prologue, I was a little scared about what's going to happen. After reading a chapter I curiously started to read the next chapter. This book is amazing. I think I'm now a fan of Savi Sharma❤.
A half baked novel built on its predecessor. The inspiration part doesn’t really work out because of the lack of emotional connection the book does with the reader.
I think once a while you need to read such books to realise and tell others what to avoid reading. Even though I could've have left it halfway but I wanted to finish it for some unknown reasons. Maybe lockdown effect and my struggling mental health convincing me to finish a task in hand. My friend gave it to me saying she lost interest after finishing few pages. After reading it, I understood why.
The story is a continuation of her first book which I am not at all interested in reading. There's flashback reference so you won't be disappointed if it concerns you. It's about the life of four characters and their ups and down in life. Having a lot of annoying motivational quotes as monologues (personal opinion as they are too long). Some might like them too and it's probably the reason why people gave it good reviews. Oh! There's a fifth character 'fate' too.
I don't want to get into the details of the story and it's characters. It's a book I personally won't recommend to anyone. I'm expecting that they will soon make a bollywood movie on this story and you can watch that instead.
If you are new to reading, kindly request you to read books by female Indian authors like Jhumpa Lahiri, Anita Desai, Arundhati Roy and Sudha Murthy.
Its a great book.. It shows what truely, life is and also how much love impacts the life. It's a story of live, friendship, fate and destiny.. It about life. It's not a fiction its the reality we all go through. We dream but many a time we fail like the characters did. But the positivity and hope should perseve, if they are numb and dead, then it's all over, and we ecentually end up ruining the life. This book or more significantly this series gives us the perfect explanation of life. I am sure, this series got all the answers to every situation of our life. It's a perfect book for philosophers, love story lover, fiction lovers, but most importantly to every human being.
Below average depressing story and some of the narratives seem like utter BS. Irritating too much detailed unnecessary conversation and too much emphasis on emotions.
The writing style of expressing something by author is very good and I liked her writing technique but content is just horrible. The story lacked interest and it was more of a poor Bollywood script.
"There's a Story in each and everyone of us. It's not the facade that we put when we're around someone else. It's what in Our Hearts. Our Hopes. Our Dreams. Our Fears" says the author which is quite motivating. If you're looking for a book that can give you hope in the midst of all that happens in life, then it's suggested.
A good read. But, a let down from the part one. Misses the refreshing energy the first book provides.
Overall framework of the story is a re used formula. Overcome the hurdles. The story doesn't give me any other deep insight . There is effort and quality in writing and if the skills were put into a better story and structure the outcome would have been better. Better luck next time , i guess.
The sequel is little washed out than the first one but this young author has her heart in the right place while writing this story. The fate was hell bent after these characters. Kabir was injured while his cafe Kabir was burnt to the ashes. Meera's debut story got rejected by the publishers as her fiance Vivan got busted in drug affair even before his project Musafir took hold. How Meera, Viva ,Kabir and Nisha resurfaced, facing difficult situations in their life and career is the story in this sequel. At some places, plot looks immature but the the author is still young and learning her paces and the story has the potential to inspire the budding teenagers, young adults. 3 stars.
“Everyone has a story, and there is always someone to create a chaos. Being a prey or hurdling the obstacle, lies with them”. In our life, we would be reading a lot of books. Unconsciously, we would be reading every book in a different manner. While we pace through some crime stories, we also stroll along with the characters of some novels, just to feel what the characters do. Believe me or not, this novel of Savi Sharma, made me race, slow down and re-read so that I can feel the pain. It’s hard to inspire people through writing without making the readers feeling bored. Savi Sharma excels in it. Everything is going fine with Vivaan, Meera, Kabir and Nisha. Kafe Kabir not only serves best coffee in the area but also has become a spot for several people at distress. They find some solace in there and visit it frequently. One day, someone shows up. He, the fifth narrator, likes to mess with people’s life, and this time, he chooses them. We watch our favourite ones fumble, fail, fall, give up, but they don’t lose two important things in life. “Hope” and “love”. It helps them rebuild.
This book is better than its prequel. Author has comfortably forgotten about the Property insurance and medical insurance due to which it causes havoc in one of the characters.Though it's a fiction, author needs to understand their readers expectations are bit logical.
Other than this author has tried to inspire confidence to the minds and not to stop their fight against adversities. I commend her efforts for trying to instill confidence & hope in Friendship and Relationship.Thankyou Savi.
First things first. This book is way better than the first two disastrous books in terms of writing style. The author has come of age in that department. But when it comes to the story, this is basically a self help book and nothing more. All the characters suffer simulateously because fate has suddenly decided to bestow on them all the bad luck in the world. As they wade through these difficulties, we are inundated with a plethora of quotes on how to overcome difficult times in life. Ending is as predictable as the rest of the story. The only silver lining being that if you read the first two books by this author and pulled your hair out in the process, this one will seem like a Booker Prize winning book.
Everyone has a story -2 depicts life trials, hope. Story continue about four people Meera,Vivaan,Kabir and Nisha. As they enter next phase of life they are faced with new challenges. For Kabir its the success of his Kabir cafe and expanding it.Meera how she is going through to write and get published her next book. For Nisha life changes after being a mother and Vivaan how to set up his own new business after quitting the job. How ups and downs came into their life and how they faced it.How fate tested them and shatter their every hope.
Both the books are well written and in simple language and is also inspiring through characters and the challenges they faced in their life with every little hope.
Everyone has a story to tell. Everyone is a writer, some are written in the books and some are confined to hearts.
SYPNOSIS: Everyone has a story 2 is the sequel to Savi Sharma’s previous book Everyone has a story. The book, just like its prequel, continues to narrate the story of its four main characters – Vivaan, Meera, Kabir and Nisha. As the four are now entering the next phase of their lives, they struggle with the challenges that come with it. REVIEW: Again Savi put up the story and the events very nicely. I loked how she had introduced more plot twists and events in this book. It had it's happy phase and then the sad phase too where she quite managed to connect to me. I think overall the book was very mindful and well written. Go buy it!
The book is so good. it simply describes that nothing in life will stay forever as it is. we need to work hard for maintain that. Also life will test you, test you so hard at some times, but how we manage to overcome those times and taking ourselves Up is required. It is simply said that the life is Once, so live each moment as if we earned it.
A beautifully written one. the characters Vivaan, Meera, Kabir and Nisha all become so close as if while we read they seems to in the neighbourhood. Beautiful, simple, and inspiring.
This will be the first book that I’ve abandoned in 30+ years of reading. The beginning of the book is ** that bad.** I do NOT RECOMMEND it at all. Go for a walk instead of wasting your time, emotion & money on this book.
I would have given 5 but in the middle of the story too much phylosophy which makes the story boring. otherwise nice story. We can't always have goods things in our life sometimes situation gets worst.
