With so many medical issues I have and unable to do exercises. So the one way I could think of is changing my diet. Make the life changes to get healthier. It does give you pages in the book where you can write down things. Set up meal plans and some prep that you can have your week plan. I find that also writing down what I felt that day and what I wanted to get something I shouldn't.
I like the book. The recipes in are each to follow and easy to cook. It helped having food done up already it helps me stay on track. The avocado feta dip was amazing. Plus you have keto crackers recipe so you can snack and stay on keto. Plus you get ideas of what to eat when you go put. I hope others find this great book.
Excellent read on introducing yourself to the concepts and practice of the Keto Lifestyle. I followed the plan and have lost 30 pounds. While the reading the entire text will impact your success, you can just jump right into the cooking component and just start eating as outlined in the book. After having read the entire book however, your longer term success will likely be impacted by how you implement the cooking and your mindset while eating this way. Rachel does an excellent job setting you up for success with tools, techniques and presents them in a way that make this lifestyle easily to understand and accessible to everyone. Be ready to write in this book - its not just for reading, its an instruction manual to better health.
I probably expected a bit different kind of book with more details about nutrition, biology and why the Keto diet is worth to consider. Around 20% is dedicated to the benefits of Keto Diet and how good it is. Basically, everything is based on the idea that we have enough calories inside our body so, it burns fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates.
Nice idea and I like it, but what is a bit worrying is how much vitamins and minerals you will loose with such a diet. There is not that much information dedicated to this part.
70% of the book is all about the recipes on how to prepare keto meals.
If you are already convinced about Keto and you need some ideas on cooking, it's a book for you.
This is a great layout of starting the Keto diet process. It goes over the rules and do's and don'ts of Keto and sets up 21 days for you to follow in order to be successful. I think for someone who is series about following the KETO lifestyle this is a great start.
