Lycan Bay Pack #2

Improper Omega

Rate this book
Dying wasn’t that bad, well almost dying. When a sniper’s bullet struck him on the battlefields of Vietnam, Marc Cameron had been an unloved kid from the wrong side of the tracks who had been sent to Vietnam because of a failed robbery attempt. He’d only had one person he could call a friend, and he was lying on the ground next to him seemingly suffering the same fate.

Saying yes to a whisper about saving his life was the last thing Marc remembered, but a day later he had recovered faster, stronger and better than before.

A single bite saved his life and made changes Marc wasn’t sure he wasn’t sure he could handle. Changes like wanting the tall dark-haired man who made his knees tremble each time he saw him. The man who would give him the family he’d been so desperate to have.

Kyle Douglass knew that he had a fated mate, the goddess Luna blessed all shifters with one; he hadn’t expected to meet his mate in passing as he was being shipped from Vietnam to Alaska. He wanted to follow, but his assignment was to take care of the pack’s Alpha Mate until they returned home. It was hard to follow those orders when he knew his mate was in heat and was thousands of miles away with Kyle unable to take care of him.

Each night he wanted to call out to his mate and tell him that he would be home soon, but their bond hadn’t had time to develop, and besides, Kyle didn’t even know his mate’s name.

I wasn't a fan of Marc in the first book and it didn't improve much in his own story. Still it was nice to learn what was he thinking and what made him tick. He's quite an insecure guy with a big chip on his shoulder. He spends most time complaining and lookin for faults both in himself and the world around him. His friend doesn't make decisions fast enough (he didn't, I agree with that), his job is boring and unmanly, his mate doesn't have enough time for him and there's always something else to be dissatisfied with.

Improper Omega By Cilla B. Anthony

The main storyline wasn't as drawn out as it could have been about the 2 MC's in the book. Instead it was also shared with several other couples as well and I felt not enough of the actual book was dedicated to Kyle and Marc and what was dedicated to them didn't draw me in at all.
