Apparently, Marie Laveau can reach beyond the grave...When Ellen and Sue discover that a demon is attached to Tanya, the three friends fly to New Orleans to enlist the help of a Voodoo high priestess. Soon they learn that Tanya's life depends on them finding and consecrating the remains of a "Devil Child," cared for by Delphine LaLaurie and Marie Laveau. The key to finding the remains is hidden in a secret diary buried somewhere in a vacant Creole mansion in the French Quarter. It's time for the three friends to renovate and solve another mystery and hopefully live to tell the tale. The books in this series may be read in any order."New Orleans holds so much folklore and mystery all in itself then add this intriguing storyline and you have one exceptional read. Couldn't put it down. Eva Pohler has definitely mastered transporting you in her plot, captivating you with alluring facets, and leaving you wanting more. Highly recommend."--Tashia Jennings, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★"Absolutely splendid story! Engaging (as always), and good research. I'm a proud Pohler-phile."--CHadley, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★"Once again, our 3 leading ladies, Ellen, Sue, and Tanya, undertake the renovation of a reputedly haunted property and, once again, Ms. Pohler delivers a captivating, fast-paced story filled with mystery, suspense, and danger artfully entwined with historical fact and paranormal fancy to delight, enthrall, and thoroughly entertain her readers. . . . Like the other stories in this series, there is no shortage of paranormal incidents to ensnare the imagination while the drama of main story unfolds evoking a full gamut of emotions that is sure to keep your attention riveted until the very end. While there is some fairly dark subject matter in this story (as in all stories of this series), the mood of the story is not depressing but, rather, uplifting in that the main characters are always doing their level best to right any and all wrongs they encounter in their adventures."--txdoc, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★"Another great mystery for my favorite group of ladies! . . . This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites." --Mary Dean, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★"Riveting! Loved every word on every page. I was captivated by the background story. The author has captured the essence of the terrible time of Katrina and the sorrows felt by the families. The paranormal story is fascinating and believable. Makes you wonder about thirties and things that go bump in the night. I absolutely love the cast at characters as the traverse From book to book and adventure to adventure. I hope the author doesn't run out of locations and story ideas. To her i say, keep up the excellent work. This is my third book and I was hooked from the first one. Thank you for a great read."--Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★"Voodoo, high priestess and spells. Yes, this is the book to read. . . . When you stay awake at night to finish a book, you know it's a great one. I would highly recommend this book."--Southernmermaid85, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★If you can't get enough of Karen White, Heather Graham, Bobbie Holmes, or Jana Deleon, then this "perfect mix of fun and scary" paranormal mystery is for you!

French Quarter Clues
By Eva Pohler
This is book three in the series and our three ladies are in New Orleans! They have plenty of supernatural to deal with there! Lots of mysteries, history, and voodoo! A paranormal adventure! Humor, Katrina, and even a Devil Child!

What a story. Ellen and Sue find out that a demon is attached to their friend Tanya. New Orleans is the only place they might find help. Won a copy and reviewed because I loved it.

I enjoyed the book because I like the three protagonists and I adore New Orleans. And, yes, I understand it's a work of fiction. But the author portrays paranormal investigation so unrealistically. And I appreciate the use of some really dark New Orleans history, but let's take some liberties with reality.

This book is extremely special to me. It hit the emotions of having so many ties to New Orleans. I was saddened about the parts of human cruelty, but I know that slaves were treated many different ways....many of them unbelievable. A must read for those raised in Louisiana.

Another great mystery for my favorite group of ladies. This time it has a major paranormal affect. Tanya is acting strange and is sick. Turns out she has some sort of spirit attached to her. It doesn't always seem friendly. Ellen & Sue work together with some old and new friends to help her. Pretty soon they end up in New Orleans buying another house to help solve a mystery and fix up to help the community. These ladies sure know how to get themselves into a pickle. They are not only dealing with fighting past social injustice but they are also revealing secrets, dealing with a death, and stealing! That is just a small list of all they deal with. And did I mention some spirits that aren't too happy with their meddling? And just when you think they solved the mystery, you findout their work is not done yet. I loved every minute of this book. I couldn't stop listening/reading. I feel like I know these ladies personally and they take me on their investigations. I can't wait to see where life leads them next! And it seems the more they go on the spookier their interactions get. I highly suggest this book to mystery and paranormal fans. History buffs will also love it too. Just remember, this is fiction. This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Cozy mysteries are generally to be taken lightly; a cozy, non-threatening murder, a bit of a mystery, and a bit of fun. That being said, some topics just don't blend well with cozy, the best example being the Tulsa massacre which was the topic of the last book in this series. In this book, the ghost helping, haunted house flipping trio of ladies head to New Orleans and take on Marie Laveau and Madame Lalurie, two of the more famous residents of that town. While this is better than the last subject of the series, there's just something about these subject choices that bother me. First of all, it feels as though the author searched for interesting ghosts, did a quick Wikipedia search then whipped up a story without much further research or fact checking. Secondly, each successive book feels more like an adolescent's hero dream. They blow into town, see an injustice, throw their ridiculously easily earned money at it, wave their Internet purchased ghost hunting equipment around, and save the day! Still, there's lots of action, plenty of occult activity, (even if it's an awful lot of teenaged Quija boarding,) and a quick read.

I love everything paranormal and I love New Orleans, so this book seemed like a perfect fit. I enjoyed the story about the three ladies who are paranormal investigators, buying and refurbishing haunted houses. When Sue and Ellen begin to suspect that a demon has inhabited their friend, Tanya, they decide to go meet with a Voodoo Priestess in NO.

The author did a good job with the historical accounts involving Madame LaLaurie and Marie Laveau. I also enjoyed the inclusion of stories of the horrors suffered by Hurricane Katrina victims. Having visited NO many times, I always enjoy books that are factual as well as entertaining about one of my favorite cities.

The narrator did a good job and was spot-on with nearly all of the pronunciations (which isn't easy for some of these places and names). However, I have to say that her pronunciation of "Chartres" was horrible and distracted me every time it was said.

All in all, this was a good book that was a mix of paranormal activities, hauntings, history and friendship.

Just as good as the first two....

French Quarter Clues is an amazing adventure through New Orleans that will take you all over and learn the true history and facts about Voodoo priestess. Eva has again taken her three ladies on a great adventure to help another family with sadness. Tanya has a spirit attached to her and this is what lead them on their adventures. I have to tell you if you liked Nancy Drew as a teenager you will love these ladies adventures. They are adults doing great stories with a lot of great details in facts. I can't wait to find out what the next trip will be for the three ladies and they restore historical building and help clear up misguided information along the way.

Another great paranormal mystery involving Ellen, Tanya and Sue and the renovation of a haunted mansion. This time the three fly to New Orleans to get assistance from a Voodoo priestess in order to free Tanya from what they think is a demon attachment. I love how the author not only creates a captivating story with realistic, amusing characters but she also incorporates true happenings from history and real-life places. The narrator did a great job of individualizing the characters and accents and really enhanced the story with her performance. This is an entertaining audiobook that has aspects of past injustices and atrocities, ghosts, secrets, friendship and a good splattering of humour. I look forward to reading more in this series

My favorite one so far! The friends find themselves in New Orleans at the infamous haunted house of Madame Delphine LaLaurie. Delphine LaLaurie is known for her brutal treatment of slaves. VooDoo high priestess, Marie Laveau and a devil child mystery pique the ladies' interest and soon they are following clues. They find clues in an old diary, located through the help of their Ouija board communication with spirits (the only aspect of this series I really don't like) and shed new light on the legend of LaLaurie. Whether or not the new "facts" of LaLaurie's innocence are true or not may just be the creative license authors take, it made for a compelling story. Great for long, boring car rides!

This series just keeps getting better and better. I absolutely love these ladies and what they do to help ghosts and the living finding peace. I love how the author incorporates the history with the renovations and how it develops into a great story.
This book brought tears to my eyes towards the end. So make sure you have some Kleenex handy. I loved it..

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a well job narrating the series. I do recommend that you download this book on high quality so that you won’t hear the disturbances in between. I feel like the narrator brought the story to another level.

Awesome Book

Love this series. I think all these books are based on real life tragic events, with a good amount of added imagination and ghostly manipulation. After I finished my review of book 2, I found out that there was indeed a 1921 domestic terrorist attack on a black neighborhood in Tulsa. The author takes real life events and makes them into wonderful paranormal mysteries. At the same time educating us on events that happened in USA history. And she makes it a fabulously interesting tale rather than a type of biographical retelling. To these stories she wraps us in women's fiction as we follow along in the lives of the three middle aged female heroines.

Stop what you are doing and read this. 5 stars all around for book 3.

Voodoo, high priestess and spells. Yes, this is the book to read.

If you are looking for a suspenseful, chilling, mysterious story that will keep you on your toes. This book will do it. I love how Eva has created this connection between her characters and the readers. Sue has truly become my favorite though. I am truly hoping for more books for this series.

When you stay awake at night to finish a book, you know it's a great one. I would highly recommend this book.

This was a fun, action packed mystery. It was like scooby doo in the form of a trio of middle aged white women. I loved how they just charged ahead and put themselves in charge of snooping.

I did rate it down a star because I felt uncomfortable with some of the race things and especially how the horrors against enslaved people were treated. Maybe that part was too heavy for the book

I am looking forward to catching the rest of the series

Kept my interest right from the beginning!

A fantastic mystery house story line and awesome characters. I absolutely enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. I'm very much into the para-
normal mysteries and this series is definitely one of my favorites. Each book so far has not disappointed me. It's well worth the price I pay to read it since its not a Kindle Unlimited. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series!!!

Tanya picks up an attachment at her last stay in the hospital and it's slowing sucking away her strength. Ellen, Sue and Tanya head to New Orleans to speak to a voodoo priestess for help. While there they find a house to renovate that ties in with the quest they are given in order to get the attachment removed from Tanya. They need to find the remains of the "Devil Child" and lay him to rest or Tanya may not make it.

I wasn't all that fond of book 1 in this series, but forced myself to finish it. Book 2 wasn't much better - in fact, in many ways, it was worse - but I finished it. I started book 3 basically because it was there, but I just couldn't get past the 1st few pages. This series just isn't to my taste.

I really enjoyed this. We quickly got closure from the last book and got to move on to New Orleans. Tanya, being the quiet one of the group got moved up to front and center. I loved the bits of history we learn in these books too. Very relateable and real feeling.

I listened through audible and loved the narrator as always, she plays these characters well, easy to tell who is who.

audible:This was a good story.Sometimes it did not seem to flow easily, but ,it was good.I enjoyed it. When your friend has a 'demon' attached to her,you have to go to extreme lengths to remove it.Tanyas friends try church and voodoo, then they buy a house! Debbie Andreen was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

this was cute! I haven't read the other books in the series so didn't know what to expect. For what it's worth I don't think you to have read the others to enjoy it. I liked the characters and the story.

Lots of New Orleans history intertwined with
the storyline. I enjoy the bits of ghosts interacting in the ladies lives. Looking forward to the next book.

Inspirational

I really liked the turned around history that the book brought to life. The general theme of improving the lot of those left behind, living or dead is a great inspiration.

Loved reading this

This book has got me back into reading. I went to New Orleans a few years back which really helped me visualise the streets. I've never read another book even remotely similar to this. I love how it brings everything together ❤. L
