Newly revised AND with a taster for the upcoming book, 'The Baize Door'!Fleeing to the countryside from London to escape another bad relationship, Clare hopes to make yet another new start that will finally sort out her life. She finds things aren’t so simple as her best friend Sylvie is abroad leaving Clare to share the house with enigmatic and moody Alex. Clare soon finds work and a new livelihood but still finds that all her relationships with men seem doomed to failure. Alongside the tale of Clare’s new life runs the story of Tom’s troubled childhood and adolescence. Set in the 1990s, before widespread use of Mobiles and the Internet, ‘Tom’ is not only a sinister tale of lost identity, possession and mental illness but also a journey to fulfillment and love as lives are changed, healed and restored.

Author Anna Rashbrook expertly webs and weaves the reader into deep thought about life, mental health, drugs, murder—and faith. Could there be mental struggles between good and bad? As the story unfolds the complexity deepens culminating in the bewildering realization that we have choices—and it seems a faith-based life brings forth many healings.

A gripping read between the lives of three couples, as they waltz in and out of each other’s lives. A love story with interesting twists that keeps your attention from page one. A story and faith based fiction all rolled into one fabulous book. The story is well structured, hinting to what might be out there with characters you grow to care about and worry how they will fare.

Tom sparks the imagination of what could be if we are saved and the amazing connection between six people. I’m hoping the saga continues as I want to know more about the characters and what happens. I will be thinking about this book for a long time to come. Author Anna Rashbrook has a way of getting in your head making you think…and think…and think some more of what might be. I highly recommend this book.

This is a fascinating exploration of spirituality, addiction and love in a rural setting. The characters interweave their storylines and relationships with a vivid realism, with each personality well-defined and fitting smartly into the developing plot.

Not my usual cup of tea, and yet I thoroughly enjoyed it, so it is well worth a read if it is yours!

At times this story is a dark tale of drugs, mental illness, and deep rooted pain. It however is also a tale of finding healing and a new life through Jesus. There are points where the story jumps around a bit or is rather hurried. Nothing a little editing can't remedy. I most definitely recommend Tom.
