At the same time, a massive hurricane threatens to remove the town from the map. Sarah’s decision to trust would force her to risk her own life and perhaps the lives of others. There is a point at which nature, love, trust and evil will all intersect.

Les Pendleton lives in historic New Bern, North Carolina. His writing style conveys the influence of his career in motion pictures. His writing spans a wide array of genres from action adventure, romance, historical fiction, suspense-filled mysteries and autobiographies. Les spends every free moment with his family and friends sailing in Pamlico Sound and the Atlantic Coast.

First time reading this author! I spend a lot of vacations around NC beaches and fish towns. It was a good read! I will read more of his books!

I read this book in 24 hours. I got this in a small shop eastern NC & knew I needed to check this author out. I loved the suspense & the twists that this story took. I will definitely be reading more of his books! It was not a predictable read which I really loved, very well written story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a selection by a local book club. The author is local and the story is set in the local town of Beaufort. It was wonderful to learn some history about the area. The characters were easy to identify with. The story had me guessing until the very end.
