“Floored embodies what a lighthearted read is supposed to be. It is the perfect blend of humor, sex, and heart. I absolutely loved it.”—Claire Contreras, New York Times bestselling author of Kaleidoscope Hearts.

OK, fine. I’ll confess.

While my house was being robbed, I was in the shower indulging my favorite Brad Pitt fantasy (the one with the Troy costume and the handcuffs.) But where is the justice in the world when the first cop on the scene is the former bully next door? How dare that arrogant jerk grow up to be six-foot-three inches of solid muscle with gorgeous blue eyes!

I can’t stop thinking about him. Or his handcuffs. Or his dirty mouth. Or the way he still likes to boss me around these days, only with a lot less clothing. (Another confession—I like it now, too.)

But we’re totally wrong for each other… aren’t we?

This is wrong.
Please. Can you not?
You need to stop.
No fucking way. This is happening.
Tell him to leave.
I can't talk right now.
Tell him you don't want this. You're not like this.
But I do. I am.

If you're looking for a feel good, laugh out loud, and super sexy contemporary romance, meet your holy grail. This book was fantastic! I'm pretty sure I had a goofy smile on my face the entire time reading it. I don't think there was one thing about it that I didn't like. If that synopsis doesn't hook you, the first chapter will surely seal the deal.

What's worse than realizing that you have an uninvited visitor while you're in the shower?

Having said visitor be a burglar and your shower be a very VERY dirty fantasy reenactment with Brad Pitt in a starring role. As if Erin's night couldn't possibly get any worse, the cop that shows up on her doorstep is her childhood tormentor. The boy that held up her lemonade stand with a water gun. The boy that kidnapped her hamster and held him for ransom. The bane of her childhood existence. But boy oh boy has Charlie grown into one sexy specimen. Damn him!

There is nothing more I love than a hate to love trope, and combine that with a quirky heroine and a dirty talking cop and I am putty in your hands. I'm pretty sure Erin's inner monologue alone deserves 5 stars. She was hilarious. I found myself laughing like a loon at some of the things that would come out of her mouth.
..I was irritated. It wasn't the note, either. It was the fact that Charlie had come over here, tempted me with his whiskey and his cologne and his cuddling, and then kept his word not to touch me. How dare he!

The chemistry between them is instantaneous and absolutely sizzling. But that's not to say there was insta lust here because Erin fights her attraction to him with everything she's got. Charlie isn't exactly the settling down type, and she's only dated good guys (boring as they may have been). But Charlie is like a magnet that Erin gravitates to...or maybe it's all the orgasms that he seems so skilled at wringing from her?

Charlie is absolute sex on a stick; a dirty talker and take charge in bed...and when those handcuffs come out? Ho boy! Panties will be melting everywhere.

I simply adored this book. It was such a light and steamy read with no stupid drama or manufactured angst in sight. Sure Charlie fights his connection to Erin and it becomes obvious that he's hiding something from her. But Erin has a few tricks up her sleeve too...
Confession: I actually said a little prayer here, something along the lines of Dear God, I hope you're not watching this but I'd really, really be grateful if I could get through this without gagging or choking, and also it would be great if this was the best blowjob he ever gets in his entire life. OK thanks, go away now.

I was hoping that the reason for Charlie's behavior would be good enough to truly get why he is the way he is, and it was that. Melanie Harlow truly delivered a hero that's perfectly imperfect. I loved it!

Then there was that epilogue and an extended sneak peak at the rest of the couples. It was absolutely adorable!I can gush to you on and on just how much I loved this book, but you simply must experience it for yourself. If you're hesitant after the last 2 books and don't like too much drama, worry not, there's none of that here. It was a perfect light read and exactly what I needed to spend a Saturday afternoon with. A highly recommended read to all lovers of humorous contemporary romance!

I really enjoyed this book! The blurb alone had my attention – the heroine’s house gets broken into while she’s, ah, getting her kink on and to make matters worse, the first cop on the scene afterwards is the guy who used to torment her when they were kids! Teehee! And since I was really in the mood for a romantic comedy, I gave this one a try, and I’m glad I did. It’s my first book from this author and I didn’t know what to expect, so I was happily surprised that her writing grabbed me from the very first page and already had me smiling.

“…not only had more than two thousand dollars’ worth of electronics been stolen from my townhouse while I was upstairs getting myself off, but here to protect me was the bully next door…And he was drop-dead gorgeous! Where was the justice in the world?”

Right from the start, I liked the quirky heroine Erin. She’s a good girl who plays things by the book yet has secret fantasies. On the one night she gives the finger to the world and decides to indulge in her kinky fantasies, she’s interrupted by a burglar and gets her valuables stolen LOL! The fun’s only just started though – the police officer sent to her house to investigate is none other than the hero Charlie Dwyer, her childhood bully who seems to have turned over a new leaf and though she doesn’t trust him yet, Erin can’t deny that she’s at least attracted to the guy.

“Fucking Charlie Dwyer had the spark. How infuriating.”

Their chemistry is off-the-charts steamy and throw in some dirty talk and I’m a goner. Because they’re polar opposites with Erin not looking for anything casual and Charlie not planning on settling down anytime soon, both of them agree to only a one-time fling. Except…it becomes a two-time fling. And then a three-time fling. Even with both of them admitting that logically, they shouldn’t be together, they’re just naturally drawn to each other.

“…a lot of my thoughts about you are sexual, but I also want to do things for you…I want to take you places and show you things and talk to you and ask you questions and argue with you…I imagine your body under your clothes and I want to cover it with mine, protect you from everything.”

I really appreciated that there was no insta-love. Erin and Charlie really fought against their attraction and even in between all their bouts of smoking hot sex, they actually acted as friends and the relationship development was evident there. No stupid drama or extra angst. I also had a blast reading Erin’s inner dialogue and could relate to her fears and insecurities.

description

The only reason why I couldn’t give this book a full 5 stars is because near the end, there’s just a tiny misunderstanding between Erin and Charlie that blew up big and fast, and I kind of felt that conflict was a bit exaggerated. Nevertheless, no real harm was done and I liked how it was resolved so it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the story much.

From there on out, the book got back on track and I was once again grinning from ear to ear, thoroughly enjoying the banter and the rest of Erin and Charlie’s story. The epilogue especially was amazing and had me sighing in contentment.

It really was the perfect weekend read for me and helped me unwind from a stressful week. I haven’t read the other books in this series yet, but from what I have read about these side characters here, I’m interested in each of their individual stories. If you’re in the mood for a sweet and fun romantic comedy that’s low on angst, look no further!

“Sexually, I wanted him six days to Sunday. Sixty-nine days to Sunday, in fact, and I wasn’t even a sixty-nine kind of girl. Confession: I was, of course I was. I’d just never acted like it in real life. But I’d do it with Charlie. In a heartbeat. And were there other numbers? I’d do those too.”

Floored begins with Erin upstairs in her shower, getting some much needed alone time. Once she's done, she realizes she left the backdoor open and was robbed while she was in the shower. She calls the police and who shows up at her door but Charlie Dwyer, a kid who teased and annoyed Erin when they were younger.

Well, Charlie grew up hot and Erin cannot help but notice. And while Charlie is very much into Erin, he makes it clear up front that he's not looking for anything serious. The two embark on a somewhat friends with benefits kind of scenario, even if that's not what Erin is like. But one of them is going to get hurt and Erin is bracing for when that day comes.

“Everything ok?” Charlie’s voice came from behind me.
“I already said it was.”
“I know, but you’re standing there holding onto that barre for dear life. I know I’m good, but I don’t think I’ve ever paralyzed a woman before.”

I've come to find that Melanie Harlow writes great escape from life kind of stories. From the first page I was completely sucked into the story and wanted to know more about this couple. I knew Charlie had a secret the majority of the book, but I never guessed what it was, even though now looking back they were glaringly obvious.

This book was a lot of fun and I really loved the characters it centered around. Both were unique and flawed but were obviously perfect for each other. And it had more plot than sex which is the main issue I had with Frenched, so this book turned out kind of perfect in my book. I wish it had more angst but to be honest that's really on me because I am an angst junkie always looking for my next fix.

Cute, fun, and raunchy this is a great read for when you want to escape life for a bit!

“It’s the strangest feeling – to love someone this way.” He slid both hands down the sides of my ribs to the small of my back. “I want to protect you. Cherish you. Worship you.” He gripped my ass hard, pulled me tight to him and spoke right in my ear. “But then I want to fuck you so hard it hurts. Take your body. Claim it. Make it mine.”

5 This Is How You Do It Stars-Amazingly FREE!!!

Ever notice how most Best Picture Oscars are not Comedies... It is not they don't deserve the honors. I think it is more than that fine line of great comedy that needs to seem effortless... and sometimes it can be so good in the effortless...it does not get recognized.

Sex scenes in books are also like that, I think. They can be either natural and flow with the story or they can sometimes come across as mechanical and awkward or they can be those rare moments when the reader is a fly on the wall and everything is tense, yet the right element of reactions with the characters to give you just the right mindset while reading.

So when you have a writer who has figured out the combination of humor with sexual tension and scenes...this is huge... and should be recognized for its craftsmanship.

Melanie Harlow did that for me in this book.
She had me laughing out loud within the first few paragraphs. She created her setup perfectly. She gave me Erin with all her quirks and inner ramblings. The inner ramblings were at times hysterical....and mostly sexual. She gave me her childhood bully, Charlie. He was a cop, hunky, and overly confident. The immediate ying/yang conflict and attraction between them jumped off the page. It wasn't hit or miss... it was perfect.

The relationship these two fought having was real to me. I could absolutely hear Charlie saying all the asshat things he said to push Erin away. I could also see the way he didn't understand what was emotionally happening and how that impacted him as well. Erin was a delight for me because even with her ramblings... she had strength in sticking to what she thought she should.... in playing this thing out. She tried very hard to stay true to how she felt and needed to be. I admired her bravery in taking what she needed from Charlie. I rooted for them from the beginning.

This was part of the Frenched series. I loved the first book Frenched and the same reasons apply here. Harlow has this ability to bring characters to their most free during their extremely intimate moments. She has you in their heads, you are the participant as well... and what they are experiencing and saying.... you are experiencing, too.

As you can tell, I loved every moment in this... and part of the allure was the willingness of both characters to see no one is perfect; to forgive when necessary .... because if you don't ... you lose out on the bigger reward... Love.

Erin Upton had always been the good girl, always in a safe relationship with the ‘perfect’, good, gentleman. This doesn’t mean that now when she’s single she can’t be a naughty girl and have some fantasies, right? Right! One night when she has one of those, her house is burglarized. Her night gets worse when the cop in charge in no other than the guy who used to tormenter when they were kids. Charlie Dwyer is a cop now. He’s not a bully anymore. He’s gorgeous and he still knows how to push Erin’s buttons. Maybe he’s less annoying as an adult and now he’s easy to talk to, but for Erin, Charlie is still a smart-ass with a big mouth.

“Well, I don’t, you know. Like everything clean.”
“You like some things dirty. Is that what you’re saying?”
“Yes,” I whispered, butterflies rioting in my belly.
“I’m not sure you do.”
“Try me.”

They keep crossing paths after their first encounter and one night Charlie offers to help Erin with the new floor at her dance studio. After spending one hot kinky night together, they agree to be friends, no friends with benefits or something more. But when the chemistry between them is off the charts and the sex is amazing, of course one night is not enough...or two...or three.

“Confession: I have never slept with anyone I wasn’t in love with already or didn’t fall in love with eventually. But people could change, right?”

I really enjoyed this one! I smiled, grinned and laughed the entire time. It was way better than the previous book and I think I liked it more even than the first one. If you want a sweet and funny romantic comedy, look no further. “Floored” was exactly that. It was sweet and funny with the perfect amount of steam.

I absolutely loved Erin’s personality. She’s a great girl and a great friend. She’s witty and sassy and I had a blast being in her head. I adored her quirks and inner monologue. Charlie was a great guy. No perfect, but pretty great. He’s sexy and cocky and I loved his dirty talking. He also knows how to use his cuffs. (*wink, wink*) He’s funny and sweet, attentive and charming and he’s the perfect match for Erin. The chemistry between them is fantastic and I loved all the teasing and sexual innuendos. Even if it was lust at first sight, there’s no insta-love here, which I really liked. I enjoyed how their relationship progressed and how despite everything they thought they needed they fell for each other.

Overall, it was a light read with just a little drama that didn’t felt too much to me. The epilogue was sweet, romantic and just perfect.

All in all, “Frenched” was a great read – sexy, funny and steamy with two endearing and relatable characters, a lovely romance and great writing!

Floored wraps up the Frenched series with Erin's story. I thought it was a fun read with a lot of silly romantic comedy type humor and of course steamy scenes. My smut loving friends won't be disappointed. Charlie the hot cop with his dirty mouth and handcuffs provided plenty of entertainment. Loved the epilogue, and the true test was *gasp* Ami approved. I always knew she secretly loved Coco:)

What would you do when your childhood tormentor turned out to be the man who will make all your dirty fantasies come true?

Erin Upton has always been a good girl but that doesn't mean she doesn't indulge in some very naughty fantasy. One night while she was indulging in one of her fantasies, her house was burglarized.

Enter Charlie Dwyer, who is now a police officer. Charlie and Erin grew up next door to each other when they were kids. He was such a little shit back then, tormenting Erin and holding her hamster hostage, so Erin was quite flabbergasted when Charlie grew up to be hot, and worst of all, she's attracted to him.

And it just wasn't Erin who was feeling the sparks. Charlie was attracted to her too but he can't offer anything more than a temporary fling, something that Erin isn't down for. But as they spent time together, their attraction grew and so is their friendship.

I really liked the chemistry between Charlie and Erin. Their history coupled with their attraction as adults had me turning the pages. Erin was such a character. She's the epitome of a single woman. She's smart, funny, and ambitious. She sees her friends pairing up, and while she's happy for them, she also wants what they have.

Charlie was the perfect foil for Erin's rigid ways. Their differences are what made their relationship work. And Charlie, despite his statements to the contrary was slowly falling for Erin fast.

Their banter and Erin's monologue were hilarious. The book was written from Erin's POV, so the fact that I related to her, made this book a very enjoyable read for me. My only quibble was the conflict was a little 'meh' for me. But I did like the way they resolved their issues.

It's fun, light, and sexy. Readers who are allergic to angst will like Floored as it is very light on the angst and leaning more towards romantic comedy, which I liked very, very much! :D

I liked this more than book 2. Erin bordered OTT and ridiculous but I couldnt help but laugh at her. Charlie was a hottie cop. It was sexy and easy and had none of that added drama. Though the end sort of fizzled out. My highlight was reading about Coco again, I think I've finally warmed to her even though she is the dumbest heroine ever. Erin being a close second.

Recommend if you enjoy
Silly humour
Low angst
Easy sexy and light romance

I swear, it is not the book, it is purely me.

Despite the many praises about this book, I simply cannot give this more than 2 stars. Like I mentioned before, it is not to do with the book or the author. Just a personal opinion. Specially as it is cultivating from the fact that I simply stayed away from girls like Erin in school (as a matter of fact even now) and I simply abhor people like Charlie. I’m sorry I just cannot stand them. Yes they did put the HEA in the end and said we got married and had kids (actually that is the reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1, their happy ever after was a bit better), the whole prospect and their timeline? Ugh. Didn’t stay with me well.

I am sure I will read some more books by Ms Harlow but if the characters are the running the same circle as Erin and Charlie I rather not.

FYI, I rated Frenched (book 1) 3-stars and skipped the second book. Honestly, I don’t have any complaint about Floored whatsoever. Cuuuz...

It has no fingerprint of ‘insta-love’ that appeared in Frenched. Erin and Charlie knew each other as kids.

The drama in the last quarter of the book is not forced.

If you are game for a humorous, light-hearted smut read, Floored is a fun pick.

I adored so many things about this novel:

1. I really enjoy author Melanie Harlow's writing style. I love that in an overly-saturated genre, such as Erotica (or New Adult), in which clichés, recycled tropes, predictability & subpar writing are the norm, Melanie Harlow attempts to keep things fresh. She writes well— the storyline flows naturally, she doesn't employ overly-used phrases, & she makes wise & appropriate word choices. Furthermore, I only found 1 typo in this novel (which is, in & of itself, a rarity in this particular genre). It's apparent that Harlow puts thought & care into her work, which I very much respect & appreciate.

2. I loved that even though the novel is classified as "Erotica," there's an actual storyline. And better yet, the storyline is believable. It's the kind of storyline that involves regular middle-class folks & people who are still trying to get their careers underway, living paycheck-to-paycheck in the meantime. There are NO "billionaire CEOs" or "private jets" in this one... no Christian Grey wannabes.... (For the love of reading, will writers PLEASE STOP flooding an already overly-saturated genre with even more "Erotic Billionaire" storylines?!? This subject matter has been used & abused to the point of no return, & authors should just let it Rest.In.Peace. I was perusing the Kindle Store the other day & I came across the following title: The Billionaire & the Virgin. WTF?!?)... Thank you, Melanie Harlow, for not embarking on the same path that SO MANY OTHERS have taken before you.

3. I could truly identify with the heroine of this novel— Erin. I seem to share quite a few of her insecurities & compulsions. Furthermore, Erin is a dance instructor, so I could definitely relate to much of her everyday existence (from her love of dance, to her small ballerina frame & her wish for a more sexy/voluptuous body, to the way in which a lifetime of dancing has her accustomed to wearing yoga pants & a cut-neck sweatshirt (a la "Flashdance") on a daily basis, even while lounging at home.

4. Furthermore, Erin's internal dialogue is HILARIOUS (at times)!!!

5. The hero & the heroine BOTH come across as realistic characters. Both characters are flawed, which makes them all the more relatable & endearing. What makes them even more endearing is the fact that they both "grow" over the course of the novel— they both make a concerted effort towards self-improvement. I was truly impressed with the character development in this book. Each character's journey & growth seemed natural & never forced.

6. There is no insta-love in this novel, & the main characters' relationship progresses at a realistic pace. Furthermore, I should also emphasize that the steamy scenes are HOT!!!

*** Thank you so much to Amanda for the book recommendation! :)
After hearing so many negative things about Book 2 of this series, I was a bit apprehensive. However, I read this novel b/c 1) Amanda recommended it, & she's never before steered me wrong 2) If Amanda, Joan & Ya ALL give a novel 4 stars, then chances are that it's a damn fine book. ;)

4 fun and sexy stars

The third and final book in the Frenched series brings us the story of Erin - the third in the trio of best friends that make up this series. And just like the other books in this series, this story is fun, romantic, all kinds of steamy and laugh out loud funny. I had a great time reading it, and thought Erin and Charlie’s story was fantastic!

Erin’s clean, neat and ordered life is completely shaken up one night when she is robbed while she is ‘otherwise occupied’ in her shower (otherwise occupied by herself with a pair of pink fluffy handcuffs and her “secret box of sexy”). She is even more shaken when the Police Officer who turns up to investigate is none other than Charlie Dwyer – the man who, as a child, lived next door to her and tormented her daily until he moved away just before high school. Charlie is now all grown up and hotter than all hell. He’s gorgeous, and has a smug arrogance about him that has Erin thinking about him in all sorts of inappropriate ways.

I did want him. Sexually, I wanted him six days to Sunday. Sixty-nine days to Sunday, in fact, and I wasn’t even a sixty-nine kind of girl.
Confession: I was, of course I was. I’d just never acted like it in real life.
But I’d do it with Charlie. In a heartbeat. And were there other numbers? I’d do those too.

Charlie keeps showing up when Erin least expects it and the flirty banter and innuendo flies until their mad attraction to each other leads to mind-blowing sex.

“Everything ok?” Charlie’s voice came from behind me.
“I already said it was.”
“I know, but you’re standing there holding onto that barre for dear life. I know I’m good, but I don’t think I’ve ever paralyzed a woman before.”

Charlie is keen on a bit of kink, is a dirty talker, and he completely rocks Erin’s world. But he is a part of the ever-popular “I don’t do relationships” club, and so they agree to just one night… which is followed by another night… and another night as they discover that they can’t keep away from each other. And with each encounter Erin starts dreaming of a possible future with Charlie while he maintains his distance. But a friendship develops which is full of even more flirty banter and innuendo, but this time with snuggling and romantic non-dates. It’s clear that Erin is falling harder and harder for Charlie, and while it looks like he’s falling just as hard for her, there is something holding them both back from going all in, and then there’s that secret that he’s keeping…

This book is great fun. Erin and Charlie are fantastic characters, and I loved every minute of their time together. The development of their relationship is realistic, and even though there is a bit of push and pull, it’s written really well and both characters handle it beautifully so it never becomes annoying or monotonous. Instead we feel each delicious little moment, and Erin’s narration of the story makes the whole thing totally hilarious.

“I’m really happy to be out with you. I always have fun when we’re together.”
“Me too.”
We should fuck.

But there is a lot of heart as well, and I could feel both Erin and Charlie’s struggle as they came to realise what they wanted, and fought for it. And it’s all worth it when things take a beautifully swoony and romantic turn… and still totally freaking hot! Charlie had me melting!

Erin’s BFFs Mia and Coco are both a part of the story (as are their men, Lucas and Nick *swoon*!), and I love that we got to see progression for their stories. This book is part of a series, and while technically it could be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order. These books are all funny, romantic, sexy, and entertaining as hell, and I have loved each one of them. This is definitely the end though, with an epilogue included at the end that finishes off each couple’s story beautifully

I loved this book! I was completely hooked from the first page, and struggled to put it down. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing what Melanie Harlow has in store for us in the future.

5+ Favourite stars!!!!

As soon as I began reading I had a stupid smile plastered across my face. And it stayed there pretty much throughout. This book has it all:

Slow building romance. Check.
Hilarious insights and narrative. Check.
Witty banter that doesn't let up. Check.
Hot, smart-ass in uniform. Hell to the yes check!
Steamy sex that made me blush. Double Check.
Awesome writing, plot development and unique characters. Check. Check. Check!!!

I have to say that I just LOVED Charlie! He has become one of my favourite heroes, mainly due to his take-charge, rough-sex attitude, as well as his smart-ass sense of humour! I didn't blame Erin for falling for him AT ALL. I was right there with her... just a melted pile of gushing mess. Yep, that was me. Throughout. The. Whole. Book.

I have never heard of Melanie Harlow before, but I can't wait to read more of her work! In fact, I bought three of her titles as soon as I finished the last sentence of Floored. There is just something refreshing about this author who seamlessly blends steamy sex scenes with wit and humour, making both integral to the storyline, rather than just inserting gratuitous, formulaic, erotica here and there. I didn't skip one page... or even one word for that matter. I couldn't. I was a gushing mess, remember?

Ms Harlow masterfully writes dialogue filled with awkward rants, double meanings, hidden truths and character insights. Conversations glide across the pages and were one of the most enjoyable elements of this book.

And the sex scenes... whoa. Steamy. Sensual. Intimate. Dirty. Rough. But written with such style that they oozed with desire and need... and affection.

I thought the female characters were a delightful mix of strength and vulnerability, and Erin's "confessions" were fantastic signposts to her true self and showcased the author's sense of humour too.

Here is just a sample of the awesome dialogue, taken from the first few pages (I promise: no spoilers). This is the conversation between Erin and Charlie when they first meet. Erin has just been robbed (while fantasising about Brad Pitt in the shower) and Charlie is the "bad" cop on the scene.

“Look, will you stop with all the ‘woman alone’ stuff?” I made little air quotes with my fingers. “I live alone by choice.”

“I never said you didn’t.”

I pinned him with a stare. “You implied it. It was strongly implied.”

“You know, now that you mention it, I am kind of surprised the Homecoming Queen is still single.”

“I wasn’t the Homecoming Queen,” I said indignantly.
Confession: I was totally the Homecoming Queen.

“And how would you know, anyway?” I went on. “You moved away before high school.”

“Just a hunch.”

“And for your information, I’m not single,” I lied.

“Oh no? What’s his name? Or her— I don’t want to make assumptions.” Dimples again. Asshole.

“It’s a him. Why do you want his name?”

“Could be relevant. Where is he tonight?”

“He’s— working. He’s an actor. He’s shooting film tonight.”

Charlie found that funny for some reason. “What’s his name, please?”

Desperate, I scrambled for a name and said the first one that popped into my head— my father’s name. “Tad.”

“Tad? Tad what?”

“Tad… Pitt.” Cringe. Cringe. Cringe.

Charlie cocked a brow. “Your boyfriend’s name is Tad Pitt?”

I lifted my chin. “Yeah.”

“And he’s an actor? Let me guess— adult films.”

“Wrong.” I tried to look offended. “He’s a… dramatic actor. Shakespearean, in fact.”

You know what... I could easily just paste the whole chapter in. But I won't. I seriously could have carpel tunnel from highlighting so many sections.

A fantastic, steamy romance! I loved it!

I have to admit that I remember loving Frenched, but I didn't really remember many of the details and I was indifferent to Forked, I am pleased to say I enjoyed Floored. It had good points and some negative ones as well, but I finished it with a smile on my face and it felt like a good ending to the series.

I laughed and chuckled my way through this book.

Bless Erin - there she is handcuffed in her shower being thoroughly rodgered by Brad Pitt dressed in his Greek Troy outfit when a burglar comes in. Maybe it was Angelina Jolie. I don't like her big lips so I'm going with her as the baddy.

Ok so Brad/Tad Pitt wasn't really there but it was such a funny start to the book.

Along comes good cop/bad cop Charlie with his own handcuffs and big gun. Erin hated him because he kidnapped her hamster and held up her lemonade stall when they were kids. Charlie is proper sexy!

Written with the same wit as Frenched and Forked and a good amount of sauce.

Re-read done. God, I adore Erin. I think she’s an underrated character in Melanie’s books. I need a spin off with Erin and Charlie’s kids.

So funny:

"If Crayola made a crayon the color of my face right now, they'd call it Mortification Red."

"You brought wood!" "My wood excites you, I know."

Best epilogue ever. I love it when a plot comes together.

Honestly, these books started one of my favourite author obsessions. I’ve loved going back to where it started. Mia, Coco, Erin, Lucas, Nick and Charlie feel like people I know and love. Every Melanie Harlow book is excellent.

Favorite book of the series!!!! I loved this so much, and it was awesome to see the other couples and find out how everything turned out. Erin and Charlie were hysterical! Erin and her confessions cracked me up every time and her side conversations with God. So cute!

Charlie is arrogant and hilariously sarcastic and the perfect yin to Erin’s yang! I loved how he completely overcame his shitty past and villain origin story. I loved that he couldn’t stay away from her and was too adorable for words when he realized how much he loved her.

All in all, one of my favorite MH series yet. I can’t wait to work my way through more of her series!

I was not prepared for the fantasy. Don't get me wrong, I think is hot, but made my skin crawl.

This series just made me sad. The guys all turned out to be jerks and there was so much unnecessary drama. Frenched should have been a single standalone book.

DNF

Book has more chick-lit/self-involved h vibe.

Also when h invites H to her dance studio, I thought the h deserved better, it was disappointing

3-4 ★

I wanted to love this book and for the most part I did, but the conflict that happened in the book, although not very strong was blown out of proportion by the heroine, Erin. And that made me pause and think whether I want to continue with this book (never a good thing). I did finish it and it was alright after Erin sobered up and came to her senses. However, the shallow and insensitive side she showed was very unpleasant and I could no longer enjoy reading her POV like I did before the conflict. That's why my rating is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars.

Sex was very steamy between the two main characters and I really enjoyed the way they teased each other. Mia and Coco were sweet, but I wish we got a bit more of Nick and Luca in the story.

Lastly, I loved 'Note from Mia' - glad to read about all three couples happily married and with children <3

3.5 stars. Cute story with very funny moments, not to mention some seriously HOT sex. This was almost a four star rating until towards the end with Erin's behavior when hearing Charlie's news. It was extremely immature and she deserved a swift kick in the arse. She behaved like a selfish high school girl. Charlie was a wonderfully flawed hero that made up for my annoyance with Erin.

The epilogue was very sweet and nice way to wrap up the story.

Started well as an erotic romance, took a turn for the worse when it became a family drama.
I don't recall a worse romantic hero than this one, in my recent reads. Charlie was not a nice person at all, hadn't learnt much about how to treat people in general, let alone women and especially the woman he fell in love with! The heroine was so lonely and man-crazy, she settled for Charlie and his evasiveness. If it wasn't for the epilogue, this book would have been a 1 star for me.

Melanie Harlow you really hit it out of the park with this series. This is the last book and I think each time I read one it was better than the last.
Was totally floored by this one (excuse the pun). It was funny, sexy, I adored the banter and I especially loved the writing style.
Simply fabulous. Don't bother with my review if you like smart, sexy, funny romances just order this and start reading NOW!

Solid 4.5 stars. This was definitely my favorite book of the series. I'm so glad I finally read these books! I've had the box set for months and I've been told repeatedly to read them and for whatever inane reason I never did. So happy I finally got the lead out and read them!
