Target Earth

Rate this book
What if you could right your greatest regret?

Creed wishes he’d never left Jennifer behind in a dark and alien dimension where Abaddon transformed her into a superhuman killer.

Creed helped kill Abaddon and put Jennifer in the Curator’s care—the only one with the hope of healing her—but guilt still gnaws at Creed.

Then one day Jennifer escapes from the Curator, with the pain of her lover’s abandonment driving her. She plans to hurt Creed like he hurt her, by destroying what he has worked so hard to save—the Earth.

When Creed learns this, he breaks his oath as the Galactic Effectuator, steals an advanced stealth ship, phase suit and weapons from the Curator and races home.

Time and incredibly deadly aliens under Jennifer’s control fight Creed. He desperately needs the help of Rollo, Ella and N7 if he hopes to protect humanity and right the greatest wrong of his life by saving Jennifer from the evil Abaddon has done to her.

TARGET: EARTH is the fifth book in the Extinction Wars series.

I was born in Canada and remember as a small boy crawling in my snow-fort. I closed my eyes, and when I tried to open them, they were frozen shut. I didn't panic, but wiped away the ice crystals, unglued my eyes and kept on building my tunnel. Those were great days! I moved to Central California before seventh grade and couldn't believe I lived in a land where oranges grew on trees and you could pick grapes from the vine.

I used to wonder what I wanted to do with my life, what kind of work specifically. I was miserable not knowing and bordering on desperate. Then one day a friend gave me his typewriter. I began working on a novel. A different person told me it was much easier on a computer, so I bought one and began getting up at 4:30 A.M. each morning before work, writing for three hours. My eyes were unglued once again as the pang of misery left my gut. I knew exactly what I wanted to do: write. So now that's what I do, I write, and write, and write, and I love it.

Best series line out off many from Vaughn Heppner, in Creed you a truly human character with all hues off the rainbows that implies the good, the bad and the ugly of human nature, you always know where you stand with Creed, that’s unique in today’s world.

I’ve read most of Vaughn Heppner’s books and what stands out is the characters personalities are genuine from the Jelk, to N7, Diane and the original Team of Ela, Rollo, Rostov some you hate others you root for sometime at the same time, as for Creed you get no apologies that’s rare in today’s world. Looking forward to Creed’s response to the purples resurgence.

Again Earth is in danger from aliens and leading these aliens is Jennifer, Creed’s long lost love. Creed found out that she had left the core world. The Curator has used Creed as his effectuater for years, but Jennifer has discovers the secret of the Plutonians. She is going to awaken them so the extraterrestrials can attack us with the deadliest ships in existence. Creed must pull his old friends together and save both earth and his old love.

The author that never loses his touch

Another stunning military space opera from Vaughn Heppner ! I don't do autopsies on the books that I read. As an experienced military sci-fi fan I found the authors were never disappointed to continue to push the envelope and never take the book off . If you see Vaughn Heppner's name on a book , just buy it and read it you will not be disappointed . Please support this author as I do

Awesome series

I am a fan of all of the books I have read from Mr Heppner. This one made me read for longer than normal and not doing chores I should have. I read until I was too tired to read more. Creed is an interesting man. Has crazy ideas but they all work. My question is how does one man come up with some of this stuff. You will have to read the books to decide for yourself.

The sotey felt more like a little melodrama between creed and his girlfriend. There were no epic battles no sense of adventure or any of the stuff that made previous books great. Lets hope the next one is better.

Fine read, less preaching next time.

Solid addition to the series but it continues to rely on deus ex machina to carry the story through the unbelievable parts.

It also felt a bit preachy at points when Creed rails against social justice warriors and other more liberal topics.

I think this made number 18 I've read/listened this year from Mr Heppner.

What can I say, more please love the writing.

This should bring me to 60 this year at least from 4 different authors

Creed keeps delivering

A great (hopefully not last) story of Creed and his dual stuggle to save Mankind and his love. Sounds korny, but it is not. A great yarn that leaves you wanting more. What is Creed's next adventure?

Enjoyable series

I have enjoyed the series. This last book was the best for me and all are a good read and well paced. They have fantastic elements, though refrain from long winded technical explanations. Don’t question it, just enjoy the ride.

Another good one

Vaughn has created another good read. I like the way he bring parts of other writings into the current book. History is always a part of his writing. Looking forward to reading his next book.

Not as thrilling but still a thrill

As a female I appreciate the ending. As a fan this on was not nearly as thrilling as the first four. Overall the ending to the series is a success .

Great scifi

I read a lot of the sci-fi stuff and the thing I like about this series is the added conspiracies within conspiracies, double crosses etc. Great stuff.

Great ending

Although it was the ending I expected, it was well thought out and told with great zeal. I hope there will be more books in the series.
