She couldn’t remember her past but looked to me like I was her future.
My walls were built. My heart was cold. My emotions vacant.
After being alone for five years with only my motorcycle club at my side, she was who I had been searching for. The one I had needed all along to light up the darkness surrounding my life. Just when I thought I had her, just when I thought I could finally allow myself that happiness I didn’t think I deserved. She was ripped from my hands…
J.M. Walker, a Canadian author, is an Amazon bestseller who also hit USA Today with Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology. She loves all things books, pigs and lip gloss. She is happily married to the man who inspires all of her Heroes and continues to make her weak in the knees every single day.
"Above all, be the HEROINE of your own life..." ~ Nora Ephron
I desperately needed a drink after finishing this and I don't even drink. Does the author think that every rape victim acts like this heroine did the first time meeting a man. That just disrespectful to rape victims. She wanted the hero to have sex with her hours after the hero found her raped and beaten up. She begged. Hero was a huge dick. And I'm not talking about what he has between his legs. Although if a man talks to me like he talked to the heroine he wouldn't have anything in between any longer. 🔪🍆 He ran hot and cold with I want you or no I don’t want you. The things he said to her to pushed her away should never have be said to any woman. He called her slut, no longer pure and broken and the heroine was so damn pathetic, she begged him, begged him!!
I'll put some quotes because I don't want to be accused of giving misleading info like I've been accused.
“Because you’re broken.” I licked along the shell of her ear. “Used up and no longer pure.” I released her in a rough move and pushed from the couch. I trudged out of the room but not before I saw the look of shock and pain behind her eyes. Hate me, beautiful girl. It’ll keep you safe.
This was heroine's POV. 👇🏼
"I sat there stunned, watching Greyson stomp out of the room. His touch left me breathless. His words made me immobile. But it only heightened this desire. This want. This need”
Someone needs to remove this heroine woman's card. Threatening another woman of tying her up so the men in the club can used her. Another lovely quote.
“Listen to me good, little girl.” My voice took on a tone that shocked even me. “If I ever see you around here again, I’ll tie you to a table and tell all of the guys that come into this place to do whatever they want to you. You’ll be ridden more than a horse at a rodeo.” I wouldn’t do that, either. It went against my moral code as a fellow woman but the whore was all over my man.”
They killed a good woman. A woman that hero had slept with but she was a damn good woman who had a husband and Twins boys, a husband who loved her a lot.
This book had drama and that drama had more drama.
Did he sleep with anyone after meeting the heroine? No. Was he in love with the stepsister? He was but that was before meeting the heroine, he still cares about her. Oh but that doesn't end there. There's more and so much more. 😳 I just don't have the strength to keep writing but don't believe me since I'm a liar, see for yourself!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I am on a DNF streak after deciding to finally read books that have sat in my TBR for years. I can’t with this one. The story is choppy, super cheesy, the FMC has zero pride, the MMC is a dick, and I don’t care enough about Eve’s mystery to torture myself anymore. Next!
Skim read-no rating. I picked this up as a freebie and only read it because I have the second book. It started out strong but lost momentum fairly quickly and got snagged up in loads of sex or thinking about sex.
The book opens with a bang. I got excited during the prologue because Greyson was leaving town after the “only woman he has ever loved” married someone else… because I LOVE OW drama. Then we FFW 5 years later to the h fleeing for her life but not remembering anything right into the arms of our damaged H. YUM.
But then it went off the rails… because the h doesn’t act like anyone that has just suffered MAJOR trauma (bruised, battered with nightmares of being gang raped), and the H is quite cruel as he pushes her away for her own good… because he’s so broken…And it felt like we got dropped in the middle of a story with characters and established relationships we should’ve known. Is this a spinoff? It felt very disjointed with cringy dialogue… and so much sex with no relationship development… and the “the only woman he has ever loved” was a dud… and the ending got ridiculous.
This book makes my top 5 list of favorite books of the year! A woman on the run from a danger she doesn’t remember. A man who has never had the love he secretly longs for and desperately needs but thinks he doesn’t deserve. A family built on friendship and trust. A dangerous snake who would love nothing more than to destroy it all just for their own sick pleasure. Meet Greyson, the real Greyson, a man who deserves to be someone’s first choice if only he can get past his own demons to become the man and the leader he was born to be.
Greyson by JM Walker I received this book from the author for an honest review. Man!! This book was not what I expected!! I expected to see the Greyson we all knew from the King’s Harlots….alll brooding and whining over not getting the girl but I am glad to be wrong. Yeah Greyson is a Douche but something about him I loved in the series. I felt bad for his unrequited love for Brogan, but she is head over heels in love with Coby. I can’t see her without him and him without her. When JM said she was writing Greyson’s book I was conflicted because I wasn’t sure he is worthy of an HEA…LOL Sorry Greyson and lets not paddle my ass for saying that ok…great!! Greyson…he is a broken man who is just going through the motions. Yeah he is happy with his MC Brothers and his cat but he is still a bit hurt over losing the girl. When Eve literally falls into his life, he is instantly attracted to her but also consumed by finding out who she is especially when a total dick starts to show his face around the club. Eve is lost but sees the hottie with the blue eyes as a savior. She has no memory but keeps having terrible nightmares about bad things. When she starts worming her sassy mouth and fiery heart into Greyson’s world, she turns him upside down for all the right reasons. Grey and Eve has some of he best banter I have seen JM write. They care and it scared them both half to death. Grey is so afraid to open up especially if he could lose eve to her past. Eve is scared to open up because she has no idea who she really is. The who and the why’s of Eve’s life and how she happened to stumble into Greyson’s life come crashing down on the two. They have a lot to conquer to be together, but they first must face their fears and accept that loving someone is a good thing. Loving and trusting someone 100% can actually make you a better person.
Some favorite quotes “Tell me I’m yours, Eve.” He kissed my cheek. “Say it again.” Ah. So that was what this was about. “You are mine,” I told him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ .” I glanced his way over my shoulder and gulped. He was coming toward me. Feral. Hard. His eyes were dark. His nostrils flared. His jaw ticked. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ She tasted like sin. Pure fucking delicious sin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` “You demand things of me that I can’t give you.” He took a step closer. “That’s the problem.”
Hold on to your seat and grab the tissues... You are in for one heck of an emotional rollercoaster!!! Oh how I've waited so very patiently for Greyson's story and It was well worth the wait. J.M Walker once again yanks every single emotion out of you and tears your heart out of your chest so she can slowly and painfully put it back together!! Greyson and Eve come into each others lives when they least expected it, but also when they needed it most, even if they didn't realize it at the time. I definitely hope we see a lot more of the characters from Hell's Harem MC, I loved the banter and the camaraderie between all of them, they all seemed to click and have each others backs...
Let me start of by saying that I have a serious case of COVER LUST! It’s gorgeous and had me curious about the yummy alpha I was sure to find within. And boy did I find him.
This man (insert curse word) killed me. Jesus Christ, he took me for a spin, and then left me with the sudden urge to smoke a cigarette. He’s everything you want in a book boyfriend: broody, mysterious, sexy, possessive…and the mouth on him!!! DIRTY TALKING HEAVEN. 😉 Yeah, it is safe to say that I fell into some serious love with Grey and I was sad to see him go.
Eve is a woman who’s lost it all and has no recollection of it. She enters the book in a way that breaks your heart, but her spirit—that willingness to fight—grabs at your heartstrings and has you cheering to the very end. I was so proud of her for holding her own with everything life threw her way, that, and she pushed Grey when no one else did.
That tug and pull between the two was so hot. There’s nothing I find sexier than seeing a man chase, except, when he takes charge, and Grey did just that. He took her how he wanted, when he wanted, and made no apologies for the almost manic need he had for her.
I sit here wondering how to put this roller coaster into words. Greyson takes your emotions and puts them in a blender and then spits them out. Words fail me, trying to come up with a review. Greyson has always been one of my least favorite book characters. I always said I hated every inch of his guts. Reading his book, his story changed my mind. While I can't say I want to keep him for my book Boyfriend stash, I will say I hate him less than I do other characters from his world. Opening his story didn't endear him to me, but I kept reading. When Eve shows up the tug and pull between them can be felt, it's almost as if it reaches from the book and grips you by the hand. From that point on, Greyson drags you up and down the emotional scale. From Seething hate, to tears, this book has it all.
I want to say more but this book stole all my words. Do yourself a favor and pick this up.
Fantastic!! Nothing checks all the boxes of a MC winner than the brooding bad boy with much darkness to hide who never expected to let anyone within the walls he has built around his hardened heart. Greyson was the biker and Prez who held the tattered and broken woman in his arms knowing that this woman was trouble. Eve was running for her life but wasn’t sure why because she had no idea who she was only that someone was after her.
Prepare yourself for one hell of a rollercoaster ride with twists and turns that will have you not being able to put this book down. Absolutely love this book!!
The story was ridiculous. The heroine runaway she was in danger, she's bruised everywhere and dirty but still found the strength to lust after the hero the 1rst time she met him. Then she had this nightmare, she was raped but when she's awakened by the hero that she's seeing for the 2nd time she's running into his arms? Yeah sure, i just couldn't take this book seriously from here and the rest of the book didn't prove me wrong.
Good start to a new series! I love me a biker and this author really knows how to write them! Grey was alpha to his core! Eve complemented him well. Gave him as good as he gave it to her!
Absolutly LOVE JM Walkers books. This is no exception. Greyson is an asshole but you'll learn to love him. Twists you dont see coming. I truly hope there will be more in this series.
While thinking about what I could write for my review. It’s so hard to try and write things and express things without spoiling the story.
The moment you start this book you will be intrigued and won’t want to put this book down. It will consume you wholeheartedly and you won’t be able to put this book down until you have finished it. Yeah it was that good.
This book brings the darkness, the violence, the bloodshed, murder, death, loss, pain, grief, the twists and turns, the angst, sexual chemistry and so much more.
The blurb indicates that the heroine has lost her memory. She embraces that she has lost her memory and is taking every day as it comes but when it comes to closing her eyes to go to sleep that’s when these nightmares come at full force. Are these just really dark and twisted nightmares or are they flashbacks of her past?
I loved that this heroine embraces her memory loss and instead of being closed up and withdrawn, she just lets herself go. We see a sassy, fiery and and an overall fun chick.
We meet the real greyson, the guy who will do anything for the people he cares about, we see the ruthless leader he is and the other layers to him that make him greyson.
The brotherhood his crew have is amazing, they have each other’s backs no matter what is around the corner. The banter they have and the mucking around and trying to get a rise of greyson was hilarious.
Insert a dangerous person who will do everything in their power to destroy what has been created. Who is he and what does he want.
You will come to parts where you will be taken on the roller coaster ride of emotions. Let me tell you, you will go through every single one. This book made my heart hurt, and made my eyes weep. Expect the unexpected when it comes to this author. I didn’t expect the turns of events when it was coming close to finishing the love story of greyson and Eve.
One thing I loved was watching the journey of seeing Greyson change into a completely different person before your eyes. From someone who couldn’t see himself loving anyone else ever again, after not being able to have his first love, this is his second chance. Seeing him give eve pieces of his heart. And when he finally gives his heart to her it’s beautiful and soul bearing.
To find out more about this book, you need to read this book. These two may be my most favourite couple and that’s saying something.
To quote a friend, Greyson truly does take your emotions, puts them in a blender and then spits them out. I am not sure how one can review this book into words. I mean seriously, your emotions go all over the place. At first when you meet Greyson, you hate him. You hate him with every fiber of your being. He's a rude, cocky, arrogant SOB. Then when defenseless Eve stumbles into his life with no memory or recollection of who she is and how she came to land on his door step. Worlds explode. We meet Greyson through JM's other book worlds and get little snippets of who he is. But, this book, this book right here definitely sheds light on who he really is. And what he's capable of. Especially when it comes to the people that he loves. The chemistry, my god the chemistry, between Greyson and Eve, how can you put in to words what they are like together. It's mind numbing and mind blowing all in the same. When I first started reading this book, I was like most people, I was skeptical of liking him. Because, he was to much of an a-hole to truly like. Hmm kind of reminds me of a certain author *cough* JM *cough* anyways, as the story unfolds and more of him is revealed you are able to reach down to the heart of who Greyson really, truly is. And that is a man hell bent on keeping the ones he loves and cherish safe from all the evils in the world. Add the effects of a woman's love and you have an indestructible man, who can be brought to his knees at the thought of losing said love. This book was everything. I don't know what else to say. I mean, other than the fact that if you need a read with a total mind f**k grab this book. I can ensure you won't regret it. JM Walker you my friend are one screw loose from losing your sanity. But, in a good sadistic kind of way. Amazing job!
P.S. Make sure you have a box of tissues handy, they may come in handy. Oh and lots and lots of alcohol.
Greyson is the beginning of a new MC series called Hell's Harem MC. We first met Greyson Mercer when he made cameo appearances in the King Harlots MC Series. I was ecstatic to see that he was getting his own book. Greyson was in love with his stepsister Brogan but she married someone else in turn made him bitter and a brute. I always had a soft spot for Grayson after reading about him in King Harlots. Eve's character is tenacious, snarky, sassy, fiery & confident. Together Eve and Greyson are a perfect match with off the charts chemistry. Greyson is a dark, raw, & gritty read that will keep you captivated until the end & craving more. This novel brings together the darkness of illegal activities with bloodshed, murder, memory loss, pain, heartache, grief, loss, and rolls it up with unexpected twists. I absolutely love the suspense, edge & romance all rolled into a gripping thrill ride. One of my favourite supporting character's is Greyson's cat Penny. As, she has a disability, but she doesn't let any obstacles get in her way of living life. A wickedly delicious read with jaw dropping moments. A beautiful piece of writing that you need to have your tissue box next to you. The writing style is exquisite. Looking forward to reading more books in this ensorcel series.
Greyson Mercer. The man we loved to hate. We met him in the King's Harlots series and saw his obsession with Brogan that ended with her marriage and him broken, this takes place five years later. He's running his club and being his asshole self until he finds a woman in tattered clothes who can't remember who she is or where she's been. He's drawn to her but she's broken, he needs to stay away. She's running from the most evil, depraved man an that's saying something because hello, Greyson isn't anyone's knight in shining armor!! Eve & Greyson's story is dark & twisted but it's so much more. I adored her snark and not giving him what he wanted, her being able to read him like an open book. Healing can come from unexpected places if you just give it a chance, Greyson could miss out on the greatest love of all if he can't let down those walls and give up a tiny bit of control, trust someone with his secrets. So I don't hate Greyson anymore, I may even adore him. I looked forward to this book, I devoured it and now I have a major book hangover!
Greyson is an incredibly thought out book with a wonderful supporting cast of characters to make it come alive in your minds eye! If you have read JM's Kings Harlot series, then you have met Brogan's step-brother Greyson. He has always been in and out, never too focused on but brought up enough that he became an anomaly that you couldn't stop thinking of. He answers the question of who he really is and what he was and is to come in his story. Usually in reviews I try to give an overall review without giving any spoilers as to what the book is about. However, JM has made that a difficult task for me to do when I cannot even put into words how much this book overtook me. I swallowed this whole and refused to come up for air until I was done. I can't say I ever really hated Grey before but he walked away being one of my favorite men to be written by JM. An overbearing, dominating "AlphaHole" of a gentleman is the only way to describe this man that cares for his family and, when he loves, he loves with his whole heart and more.
Fear, lust and passion is definitely everything you come to love about this book. Greyson Mercer is a man that has been hurt in the past until he meets Eve then he has no idea what will happen between them as he tries very hard to stay away! Eve, a woman who has a pass but has know idea who she is but she has a feeling that its nothing good, the fear alone has her shaking but the lust and passion she feels for Greyson undeniable! Will Greyson and Eve give into the lust and passion they feel for one another or will that fear have them running in the other direction? To find out you really need to read this book by JM Walker!! True to form this authour goes all out in her writing! I for one highly recommend this book!
Amazon - HNRY - The hero is in love with his step-sister, but the step-sister married someone else. You always "feel" how he cares/loves the step-sister. His love for the step-sister is in the epilogue.
I love jerky heroes, but Greyson was not likable at all. Greyson was too much of a jerk especially to a broken heroine who already went through enough and did not need his attitude. The hero's cruel words made me cringe. The heroine needed a strong alpha. I like the jerky, alpha heroes, but Greyson was an a**hole. Maybe the author was trying to make Greyson appear alpha with his a**hole behavior, but it did not work. UGH, he was awful.
Good luck. This did not work for me. You may love it.
Astonishing! From the moment I saw the cover, I knew I had to read this story. His eyes captivated me and so did this story. I so both love and hate the author of Greyson. Lol. I laughed. I cried. I was hopeful and filled with pain. This is one of those books I love. It has the suspense, edge, and romance I've come to enjoy in well written novels. I will say I can't wait to see what's next from JM and Hell's Harlem. So many great characters who were perfect to play off of Greyson and Eve. I finished the book hopeful for these characters but wanting to scream at what they had to endure. Well done, Walker. Well done.
Holy Stromboli! This is the book we have impatient waiting for. If you don't know who Greyson is, stop reading this and go read Brogan's book from the Kings Harlots series. This book is a wild rollercoaster ride that will leave you satisfied at the end. I loved Greyson and Eve and I'm hoping for even from this series!
Greyson held everything in even his dark side, and his love for his stepsister. "Eve" shows up out of the woods in the middle of the night, roughed up and doesn't know who she is. In comes Greyson and takes her in. There is alot going on this book, lies, betrayal, bondage and death. Towards the end you will definitely need tissues, it was so sad and unfair.
5 RAW BEAUTIFUL STARS!! Get ready for a beautiful raw bumpy ride, that you never want to end. Greyson and Eve's story is raw, emotional, hot and lots of drama. If you are looking for a get MC read with lots of action, look no further. J.M. Walker always gives us readers the time of our lives with her storytelling.
This read like a rough draft. Underdeveloped, over the top by a lot, and kind of ridiculous - yet I finished it. I’m shocked and if I didn’t read trashy books on the regular I might be embarrassed by that. I will be embarrassed if I read the next book in this series which I expect to be the same but I just might. Craziness is in the air.
Loved this book. Eve and Greyson are so good for each other. He needs his happily ever after. I am so glad you wrote his story. I look forward to more for both of them (if that is in the cards)
