Valentina has spent her life working as an elite agent for the Coalition. After a rescue effort goes horribly wrong, she's taken to the Omni Towers where she finds herself embroiled in a masterful game of chess and she's the hunted queen. With the Coalition poised on the brink of civil war and ready to rescind their alliance with The Omni Towers, Valentina must quickly get to the bottom of who is behind the sinister plot targeting their leadership.
When shipments of weapons go missing and buried secrets emerge, Valentina is forced into facing her past and playing the deadliest game of her life. Unfortunately, the stakes of this gamble are higher than anyone could have anticipated and not even a love forged in fire may be enough to save their people from destruction.

Her books feature strong, spunky heroines and their swoon-worthy heroes who will stop at nothing to save the day.
This is the 5th book in the series and the first with protagonist Valentina. We get another view of the situation, this time from the Coalition's side. Valentina is as feisty as Kayla and she fights for what she believes in.
I don't want to give any spoilers away as to whom is her love interest as it is not mentioned in the blurb so I can take a hint. But I liked the couple. I do have a minor pet peeve with the series: the men in the series seem to be interested in the heroine (for example Kayla) and then in the next book they are desperately in love with someone else. Example (close your eyes if you have not read book 4): Alec seemed in love with Kayla, but then suddenly he had always been in love with Ariana. I want my men to be totally head over heels!!
Overall good story!
*** Full disclosure: I received an ARC from the author but my opinions are totally my own. ***
First of all, let me say that I absolutely love this cover. This is Book 5 in the Omni Towers Series and I would strongly suggest that you start with Book 1 and work your way up through each and every book in this series. You will be so happy that you did. Best series I have read in a very long time! May be the best series EVER! I love these characters, the action, the twists and the romance.
FLAMES OF REDEMPTION focuses on Valentina and a few other members of the Coalition, but it also takes you back to the Towers. I must say that Valentina and her love life are a dynamic couple (I won't say who it is just in case you haven't read this far in the series yet because I hate to give away spoilers). Great story, lots of action, and a surprise discovery that will make you choke on your morning bagel. Wow! I did not expect that!
The Omni Towers Series would make a fabulous TV series. How about it, Netflix? Are you listening?
Many thanks to Author Jamie Waters for allowing me to read this ARC. All thoughts, opinions and ratings are my own.
Another fantastic book from Scott Baron. This is the 5th book in the Omni Towers series and it might be the best one yet!
The characters of Sergei and Valentina have really been brought to life with full backstory and their love for each other. Separated for three years, Valentina held a grudge that he had left while she was injured, never said goodbye, and never was she told an explanation even by her best friends, Yuri and Nicholai. They knew the truth but had promised not to tell. When the reason comes out, it all makes sense.
Valentina is a knife happy beautiful woman who would just as soon throw a knife at a guy than kiss him. Matter of fact, she does so several times in this book. Sometimes it's a planned miss, other times a planned hit. Between the long-held anger and angst between Valentina and Sergei, they have a hot spark of temper but, also are playful with each other and make for good reading.
Let's not forget, this is still an action, post-apocalyptic book with a budding relationship between three groups of people, all very different. If the new tower is completed within one year with all three parties working together, it will be able to house 1,000 coalition members, ruin rats, and more Omnis, plus provide more resources for all of them to survive and improve their quality of life especially for the coalition and the ruin rats.
A must-read as this book starts bringing more threads together to understand the different cultures but the intrigue has not ended. They are still working on who ambushed Nikolai and Alec at their secret meeting in a neutral place. Who is stealing from the firearm shipments and food and health care supplies? And who is planning a takeover??

“Sometimes, a perceived accident is Fate in disguise,” Alec suggested with a small smile.
This book picks up right where Drop of Hope leaves off, it’s no less exciting than any of the other books in the series thus far, though it’s more complex in some ways.
I strongly recommend this series. This one did leave me hanging a bit, though I don’t mind since the next book is available currently. Just a tip that you should read books 4-6, and in order. And the whole thing will make more sense if you’ve read books 1-3.
I was repeatedly impressed by Waters’s brilliance, there are some fun, profound quotes and more characters to love and to hate. I’ll admit, I loved Kayla’s books so much that I didn’t think I could or would like the rest of the series but Valentina has grown on me quite a bit.
This book is flawless with professional editing, proofing and formatting there is absolutely nothing to distract from the reader experience. The cover is obviously professional as we. I can find no reason to give this any less than 5 stars.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*Updated due to a re-read (listen, as it’s now out on audio) August 2024. This narrator is AMAZING! Her accents, her varied voices, all so smooth, and clear and believable. She almost made it sound like a full-cast production. 5 stars.
I will say that whenever I read/ re-read / listen to the editions that don’t focus on Kayla, I miss her and wonder what she’s getting up to. But that said, I love Valentina (& crew’s) books just as much.
Unlike the first four books, which focused heavily on the ruin rats and then life within the Towers, this was the first book that truly gave us a view of what life was like for those on the opposite side. The Coalition is an organization that relies on hostile takeovers rather than negotiated alliances, but the creation of the new tower gave way to a tenuous agreement between Nikolai and Alec, and in turn, showed readers what life within the Coalition was like.
I sprinted through the first books in the series easily, but I'll admit that this one took a little more to get into. That isn't to say that I didn't enjoy the book - I did, thoroughly - but without the inclusion of main characters from the previous books (who we do see, albeit through the lens of other characters), it was a different feel to the book overall. However, Flames of Redemption still held that same level of heat that made the previous novels so exciting... in fact, perhaps even moreso as the two main characters, who I'll leave unnamed, were perhaps a little more volatile towards each other than we've seen in the other books.
The action, as is always expected from this author, was full of intrigue, carefully placed secrets and shocking reveals. Though I've guessed at many of the other plotlines in this series, I did not see the twist here coming at all, and that's always a pleasant experience in a first-time reading. Eager to see where all these plots lead, as I jump into the final book.
I received a free copy of this book through Book Sirens, and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is the fifth book in the Omni Towers Series. It can be read as a stand alone. But, having read the previous books, I can tell you that it is better knowing all the backstories to this point. The story has a lot of surprises and the story is very interesting. I love the characters. Sergei is the Ambassador to the Omni Towers from the Coalition (which to me sounds like a not very nice group of people). There are so many secrets and hidden agendas in this book, it is scary. Valentina is the right hand to Nikolai who is one of the newest leaders of the Coalition. She and Sergei have a past. This is their story. I would highly recommend it.
This was book 5 in the Omni Towers series by the amazing Jamie A. Waters.
This instalment, we are following Coalition members Sergei (who we already know and love from previous books in the series) also Valentina, who we find out was Sergei’s one true love, that he abandoned years ago, but why? For that answer, you need to read and find out ❤️
The Coalition and Omni Towers inner circle have so much in common, and that is plots to overthrow the current leaders to gain more power. The mystery, action and suspense in this one is next to none. Jamie loves to keep you guessing and you never know what is round the corner.
The passion between Valentina and Sergei is off the charts. Their chemistry is sizzling, and the arguing is just four play to them.
I know there is only one more after this book, and I really really really don’t want it to end.
Top marks 5/5 - can’t wait for the next and final book in this amazing series.
In book 5 of this saga, the focus is on Sergei and Valentina and their very volatile relationship. As the two of them try to put past issues and anguish aside, another threat is unfolding. Someone wants Sergei dead and discredited. Great lengths have been taken to implicate him as a traitor and now Nicolai and Yuri join them to figure out who is behind this and why. With the help of Alec and Ariana, new earth shattering information comes to light. I found it quite delicious, the banter between them as well as the fierce sense of family. Looking forward to the last book in the series, I'm certain it will be as mind blowing as the rest! I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review
Wow! This lady is bad to the bone! In Drop of Hope she comes in and saves Ari. We find out more in this book what happens with the Coalition and what motivates them. We also find out some secrets long held by Valentina and her friends. Love is renewed and trouble is in the air. Kinda like Kayla if you recall her calling trouble wherever she goes. Now there are forces on both sides who are trying to derail the alliance that will benefit all of the people. This left me wanting more I really need to know what happens next!

This is the 5th or 6th book in this series and the main character was in the background for the last 2 novels. Her love interest has appeared in strategic places in the past in the series. Whilst it is good to read the books as a series this book can be read as a stand alone.
Without revealing anything the twist about the life bonds a really is interesting.
The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was too much emphasis was put on the physical fighting of the two lovers and also their physical mating. But I am an older female and this is aimed at the younger reader.

Part five in the Omni Towers series features Sergi and Valentina, but there’s more to it. And if things were complicated in previous books when there were usually two men vying for the attentions of the leading lady of that story, this one definitely took things up a notch. The story was complex, captivating and unique in the series. It developed well and at a good pace to hold my attention and made me excited to see what was coming next. The narration continued to be excellent as it had the same narrator from the previous books. Once it was over, I was invested in what the next book would hold. NorthernLakeAudioReviewTeam
Flames of Redemption by Jamie A. Waters is a wonderful story that I have read and this just keeps getting better I never know what to expect. This is book number five in this woderful series that I have loved from the very first bookand everything just keep getting better. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi and fantasty in their stories like me.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
**I received a free ARC from Book Sirens and am leaving the review voluntarily.** I just love this series. If you have read any of my other reviews, you know I messed up and read them completely out of order. This book was the HUGE missing piece to the later book and why I was so confused when reading it. I fully intend to go back and re-read them in order because this series is just amazing.
When you go into a book blind and are expecting to read about certain characters only to find this one focuses on other characters.... but I was not disappointed. I am really enjoying this series. I really liked the deeper insight into other characters in this book and their secret. This one is probably a bit less action than the other books, but the characters were chefs' kiss, and their story has me hooked. I am really looking forward to continuing this series.
was excited for this story. Sergi is a past character that I loved to hate but he eventually grew on me. It is an okay story only because this seems to be a why choose story. Valentina gets three me plus has other clamboring to be with her. Her fighting skills are exceptional and I wanted her and Sergi to have e a mice complete story. So I didnt love it like I expected I would. Paige Reisenfeld does a good job on the narration. She has a lot of Russian accents to master in here.
Valentina and Sergei continue their games, Nikolai and Yuri join them in the towers, and Sergei is framed AND almost killed. Alec, Ariana, Brandt, Lars, and Hayden all find out the secret the four Coalition members hold. This story has plenty of action and romance, ending in a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.
I received an advance review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
At first this book seemed to slow way down from the previous books in the series. Like downshifting a manual transmission, it lead me to a much better place at the end. Was it worth the effort --- oh yes. This book answered questions (and asked others too) Happy to have read it.
Holy plot twist Batman! Didn’t see that coming. Suspected a tiny bit of it but not the extent of what was revealed, with only more to come in book 6 I presume. This series keeps me on my toes and totally enthralled
Good read. Brings in a new main character who is just as feisty as the first. Spying, new found abilities, and death threats keep this book going for a pretty good read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Received as an ARC, this is an honest review. While still recovering after rescuing Ariana, Valentina finds comfort with the gifts from Brant. Unfortunately, she pushes everyone to thin points to find out, not only what lead Pavel to do what he did; but trying to work in a world that is unknown to her. With a meeting planned between them and Omni, finding a neutral place proves to moot, when an attack upon the neutral ground injuries Sergei and opens another mystery of why and whom was the target. Not to mention arm shipments have gone missing only adds to the fragile alliance they have with the towers. Intriguing, interwoven is secrets surrounding Valentina and her companions that leads to a revelation that explains the relationship they have together; unlocking past secrets and tragedies. A fast pace adventure with fiery romance and mysteries that keeps deepening this amazing built world. Enthralling at its best.
