Travis Dent has been dead twenty years when the city police decide suddenly to close his file.

The man’s father is desperate for answers. Word on the inside is that he’s better off now knowing. It’s down to Sandy to investigate.

Are the rumours about the dead man’s mother true?

One thing’s for sure - someone knows what happened to Travis all those years ago.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a honest review. I love Mona Maples cozy mysteries. Based in Waterfall tweed, Sandy is looking into the death of Travis Dent whom died about 20 years ago. It looks like someone is hiding what really happened. Was it murder or was it an accident. Another enjoyable book with wonderful characters, that anyone would enjoy.

I really want there to be at least a few more books of this series, but since Book 7 was published in 2018, I won't hold my breath. I honestly think this book was one of the best out of the series. I absolutely loved it. Good story, good quirky characters. Recommend reading.

The Cold Case is the seventh installment of Waterfell Tweed Cozy Mystery series but can be read as a standalone.

Another mystery treat from our beloved little town where old friends await us.
Twenty years after the death of Travis Dent the police have decided to close the case. His father is still looking for answers but rumors say that it's best he didn't know.
So it's up to Sandy and her helpers to uncover the clues to a cold case and solve the puzzle.

Fast paced as always. Excellent and fascinating story telling. Gorgeous setting and familiar faces all combined for yet another superb read.

I received ARC copy for an honest opinion.

I did enjoy this latest Waterfell Tweed mystery. I liked the way that all the seemingly unrelated events and clues all came together to solve the mystery, and once it does, it seems almost obvious. I especially liked the ending, but will not say anymore so that I don't spoil it for others. Mona has managed to produce an empathic piece about how not knowing can be devastating to Travis' parents and how they have dealt with it in their own ways; not an easy subject to take on but she has done a great job.

I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion. Looking forward to her next one!

I couldn’t put it down!

I love Waterfell Tweed, but it does always seem to have bad weather: rain, storm, thunder in every book (at least that’s my impression). Sandy’s trusted yellow Mac is much-needed. Sandy is the kind of warm person who wants to help. She’s got the whole world on her shoulders. Now we have a case so old, so cold, that even the police have given up on it. It’s one of those books you can’t put down.

Waterfell Tweed is a truly quiet small town, unless there is a murder investigation. Sandy finds herself again trying to solve a mystery, but this time it happened 20 years prior. Trying to help Victor, the father of the victim, get on with his life has her unearthing old secrets. Another enjoyable book by Ms. Marple. Really enjoy her writing style and lovely stories.
