Starting over is never easy...especially after your heart has been broken. Wolf never wanted to be one of those guys that collected club girls, or chased every skirt he saw. All he ever wanted was one woman to love fiercely, and a family to take care of and protect. But sometimes no matter how much you want something, or how hard you're willing to fight for it, fate and karma have other plans. Blair works with some of California's toughest criminals. She's a psychologist who follows former inmates back out into the community, and makes recommendations for their futures based on their current situation. It's her job to decide if they are likely to reoffend...and often her decisions make her less than popular with some very dangerous men. When one of those men decides he wants to get even with her, she finds a group of unlikely heroes in a motorcycle club that's been wronged by him as well. Something about the president of the MC appeals to her in a way that makes her question everything she ever believed and the fine line that some people draw between good and evil. Is it possible for a woman who has dedicated herself to upholding the law, to love a man that has dedicated his to walking a tightrope in between? Wolf is struggling to start over. He lost someone that he cared for deeply and that left his chest with a deep, empty hole. When he meets Blair, the prison psychologist rescued from the clutches of an evil man by Wolf and his club, he begins to wonder if it's possible for him to love again...but before he and Blair can even begin to figure things out, Wolf is arrested for murder and it starts to look like there's no hope for the future for the freshly arrested inmate and the traumatized psychologist who just might not be able to trust or believe in a man like Wolf Lee.
Book 2 in the Westside Skulls MC Series. This is a Standalone Romance Novel but characters from this story, will appear in future books in the series. HEA and No cliffhanger. Intended for Mature Readers. * * * The Westside Skulls MC Series is about members of the MC club, their friends and associates. Each story, while focused around one main character, is not necessarily about a Westside Skulls club member, but the story is related to Skulls members and the club.
I liked it... I really liked it a lot. It wasn't a 400 page book with a ton of filler but a great story and lots of hot naughty bits but not so much that you wanted to skip the sexy times because they happened every chapter and lasted at least 15 pages worth like a couple of the books did. Glad I stuck with this series. This is Wolf's and Blair's story. If you read the last book I wanted so bad to tell how much I hated his ol' Lady. I'm glad she is gone... sorry, had to get that off my chest...lol.. anyways Blair's job is to tell if a person who is out on parole should stay on parole or has done his/her time and is ready to be a productive member of society. She ends up getting set up and is attacked by a mad man. She is put through hell and Wolf comes to the rescue. He's only there because of someone else but he was in the right place at the right time. These two want each other but they are too different and her job is not one she is willing to give up for anyone. Wolf hasn't been out of his own relationship for long either. Don't know see how that can work. Only thing I didn't like was the end was rushed otherwise it was a great read. . time for book #15.
This is my first series by author Jessie Cooke. I really enjoyed the MC world she had created for the Westside Skulls and Wolfe. She gave us so many surprises and twists that kept us on our toes throughout this entire book.
Blair Newman is a tough as nails psychologist who works with inmates. She knows how to take care of herself and how fast things can go south in a situation. So, when she gets tangled up in a mess that involves Wolf's crew she knows how to handle herself. Blair is the type of woman everyone hopes they are stuck with if a crisis like that goes down.
The push and pull between Wolf and Blair were intense as it unraveled. Wolf had been burned bad and Blair really did not want to get involved with Wolf. But sometimes you just cannot deny that chemistry.
All the guys in this series are fun and leave you wanting more. I cannot wait to see what their books are about.
It doesn't matter if I have a huge migraine because if I have a glimpse of a book written by this author on my Kindle I need to start it. Let's face it... I'm addicted not only by her books but also MC ones... Dayum... I'm on cloud nine. Ah ah ah. Jessie Cooke knows what she's doing... She's a master writing this genre and I'm one lucky girl for the chance to read all. Her writing is hot and wild, forbidden, intense and raw. Let's not forget the hit stuff she writes about... Dayum... Those scenes could wake up a dead person. Lol. But before I tell you a little bit more about her new release I need to ask you something. Have you read her Southside Skulls series? Or Westside Skulls book 1? The first series will hold your attention from the first page and a few characters will appear on this one. Anyway, for you to understand this new book you should read Wolf the prequel first and then start this one. Trust me. Wolf is her latest release and it's the second book from the Westside Skulls series and keep telling Wolf's story as well as Blair's. Has you already know, if you had read the first book, Wolf is the President of the Westside Skulls MC. He's loyal to his club and will do everything in his power to protect them. He was betrayed by the woman who was supposed to live forever by his side and after that he couldn't commit. One night stands and that was it. Blair is a psychologist that help former inmates to settle back into the community. Her word can keep them in society or locked up and that sometimes can be dangerous. And one day her path crosses with Wolf... I'm in love... I'm overwhelmed... I'm addicted... And I want more... So much more... This book is freaking awesome and hot... So hot... The plot is intense, very well written, super engaging and powerful. Each chapter made me keep reading and reading until my eyes hurt... I wanted to know more, I needed to know more so I just kept reading and reading. The interation between the characters is beautiful, with a few bumps on the road. The loyalty, the friendship, the love is very present in this book as well as betrayal, crime, madness and deceive. I totally advise you to read this series and I can't wait for Bruf to arrive. Oh boy Jessie... What have you done? I love the Southside Skulls series and this new one just stole my heart. Can't wait for the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the start of a spinoff from another series. You don't have to have read the previous series to understand this one because it's a standalone. You have crossover characters, but other than that, the primary focus is on Wolf, Bailey, and the Westside Skulls boys.
Wolf is dealing with the effects of Amara's betrayal. He doesn't want to trust any other woman, because look what happened. Right now, he's just concerned with getting the club's new MMA gym set up so that it will be a great training place. When his Veep finds out that the club's money issues are too confusing, they go look for Granite, but he's disappeared. That's when Wolf and the guys find out that he's been taken, so they have to go find him.
Bailey is a psychologist for the Department of Corrections. She works with parolees and those who want to be on parole, to make sure that they handling their issues and that they are safe to be out in society. When her scuzzy co-worker, with whom she had one lousy date, sent her a patient named Mouse, it didn't turn out well. It turns out that scuzzball and Mouse had been friendly, but then scuzzy boy betrayed Mouse, so Mouse is going to punish him by taking the woman he thinks is scuzzy's girlfriend, Bailey. But, Wolf and the Westside Skulls come to the rescue at the perfect time and save her and Granite.
Overall, this was a good story. There was a lot of hot sex and a lot of drama. There were things that Bailey suggested that just didn't work so well for Wolf. But, that's because they have differing points of view because of who they are and what they are. But, other than that, I really liked it.
Wolf’s life has become nothing but a chore since his near miss with death after his beloved ex-wife had plotted to have him murdered. His dream was always to find a woman who loved and a family of his own to protect, he thought he had. But loving hard and receiving back it seems don’t always go together and a broken heart is the result. Hard working clinical psychologist Blair got more than she bargained for when she stood in when a co-worker calls in sick. On her visit she gets kidnaped and badly beaten by the madman. She fears for her life until a she is saved by a sexy president, Wolf and his fearsome MC. I loved Wolf’s story, and this continuation was perfect. It informed us how Wolf was coping since his divorce and his life since and also Bruf is ever present, looking forward to his story. A sensational read, a real rollercoaster ride of tension and thrills, fantastic writing and awesome characters that blend perfectly together. Loving the Westside Skulls, eagerly awaiting for more!
This is the other half of Wolf’s story. The Westside Skulls are a spinoff of the Southside Skulls. Although you don’t have to read those I personally would suggest that you do. There are many characters and it will also give you a feel for the mentality that goes with their biker lifestyle. This story also introduces you to many of the characters from The Best Of The Bad Boys series the author also wrote. They intrigued me enough that I had to put that series on the TBR list.
Wolf is the President of the Westside Skulls. Hindsight is foresight! Looking back he wishes he had listened to some of his brother’s when they tried to warn him but he was in too deep at the time. He loved his wife and truly thought she was going to be it for the rest of his life, that is until she tried to have him murdered. Overall he has dealt with the changes and loss quite well but the lingering effects of Amara's betrayal won’t be going away anytime soon.
Opposites attract. Wolf meets Bailey under less than ideal circumstances, he is intrigued but hesitant to look too deeply into because of his recent past. There is just something about her and when he runs into her in Vegas of all places he doesn't hesitate to make a move. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas after all. Seriously, they will have some fun and move on. Right, she is a psychologist for the Department of Corrections, how on earth would he work that one out with him living and leading the one percenter’s club?
Honestly, I don’t want to tell you more, that is what the blurb is for after all, but I will say the Westside Skulls are a life force that is constantly moving and involving. Honestly, I loved it, but mainly I just love the characters. I do recommend reading from the beginning. Happy Reading!
I'm going to jump on my soapbox for a moment to let you know that this is Wolf 2, so in order to really understand why Wolf is who he is now, you MUST READ Wolf-Prequel FIRST! See, this is Wolf 2.0 after being betrayed by the woman that he loved, and it changed him a great deal, and now he will not be trusting in relationships with the opposite sex anytime soon. However, he never saw Blair coming. She's a psychologist who works with some of California's meanest criminals, and it's for that reason that she gets caught in the crossfire of the Westside Skulls MC business. Plus, this is how she meets Wolf, and there's something about him that intrigues Blair, and he is attracted to her as well. However, just as they are sorting through this attraction, Wolf is arrested for murder, which throws everything up in the air. Jessie Cooke did an amazing job with the conclusion of Wolf's story, as I sat in one position cover to cover with my heart racing. There was angst, drama, and all kinds of suspense because of the f-bomb worthy twists around every corner. Not to mention the sexy times were HOT, and lit whatever surface was nearby on fire! The MC made up the colorful cast of secondaries that added more goodness to the story, and I'm super excited for their stories to come out. I LOVED this new spin-off so much that I will be waiting impatiently for more, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Xavier “Wolf” Lee is the man in charge. And now he has a mystery to solve and does it relate to someone from his past. Blair Newman is a well-rounded woman. For some this may sound strange but I loved the story the author has weaved that brought these two together. I also loved how she included our misconceptions we sometimes have when we hear that someone belongs to an MC.
Even with everything going on, all the scenes seemed so natural and progressed easily from one to the next. That includes when you have to feel sorry for the predicament that Wolf finds himself in. In her own way Blair is hardcore – she doesn’t scare easily. She can hold her own but shows she can still be a woman. The author shows that there are police officers that care – not all of them have to be portrayed as someone where we have to question their motives.
I loved the theme of loyalty while weaving a story with crime, mystery, deception, and betrayal. It left me wanting to know where this series is going. It’s a story that’s not all about sex but about the members of the MC and the women that end up in their lives. It was that story that grabbed my attention especially when the ending didn’t feel as if things were over between our main characters. And as a treat I got a sneak peek of what’s coming next – I’m in heaven.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
So we finally get the second half to Wolf's story. But the big question is will Wolf finally get his happily ever after? I have to admit after the first part of his story I couldn't wait to dive into this second part.
I really liked Wolf in the first book. But I fell for him in this second book. In this book Wolf is a man that is trying to put his life back together after the betrayal of his wife or ex-wife. I felt like we really got to know him better in this book. And he definitely seems to being doing better after he starts to get to know Blair after saving her and getting to know her. But he still had forces working against him. I thought that Wolf was sweet, kind, protective, and caring in this book.
I really liked Blair. I thought she was sweet, kind, and kind of kick ar$e in this book. She definitely knew how to take care of herself.
I did think that this book was enjoyable. There was definitely no lack of action or drama. And there was definitely smexiness in it. I thought that Wolf and Blair were the perfect match for each other.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for Bruf's book!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***
After reading Wolf's prequel I was eagerly awaiting this book. I was so wanting Wolf to get a woman he deserved after everything he had been through and having his heart broken by his seriously insane wife Amara.
When he was dealing with club business he never expected to find a woman like Blair smack bang in the middle of the drama. She has been kidnapped and abused by an inmate she was supposed to be helping back into the community. Wolf becomes her Knight in shining chrome, he turns her world upside down and makes her rethink everything she has ever believed in. Despite everything shes been through she is amazingly strong. She sparks something inside Wolf that brings out his protective side. The way she instantly trusts him is beautiful to watch.
In trademark Jessie style she has delivered another MC series for me to become addicted too. Its packed with action, drama, violence, all mixed in with loyalty, passion, romance and some hot AF chemistry between Wolf and Blair.
I can't wait to see what she brings us next!
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Enticing Journey Book Promotions
This is a action-packed, gritty MC with a big dash of MMA. A terrific combination of two of my favorite types of stories. Nothing like a heroic Alpha MC stud or a tough hunky MMA fighter and those two combined are spectacular. This well written tale of betrayal, brotherhood, suspense, danger and romance with amazing characters that has our hero Wolf at the center. He is the Prez of the Westside Skulls and is on the mend after his suffering went to another level. Anyone else would have been devastated but Wolf is so strong and swoon worthy. He meets prison psychologist Blair and there's an instant spark but his defenses are up. Bailey gets into trouble while dealing with a couple of prisoners and Wolf comes to the rescue. After struggling through a magnitude of issues their romance blooms and it's a thing of beauty. So sexy and steamy. This is a terrific MC story full of sexy brothers, over-the-top action, lots of sizzling sex and a wonderful ending. I can't wait for Bruf's story. HOT! I would recommend reading the prequel but it's not necessary to throughly enjoy this story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Wolf thought he had the woman he could make a life with but she wasn't who he thought. Now he just lives from day to day for his club his family. An old enemy resurfaces seeking revenge takes not only a brother but an innocent woman. Saving her could just be finding his future.
Blair would never have considered herself a wild woman choosing a bad boy biker. Of course, she'd never met Wolf. Could she reconcile her profession in "the system" with his out of the system? She feels obligated to help him when her rescue come back on Wolf. That's just the beginning.
The two may seem mismatched, however, they match well and make plenty of steam. All is not roses will the two be able to overcome their differences? Has Wolf found the right one this time? While they come to terms with their relationship, the club has problems to solve, a sister he never knew he shows up, and a new business comes on board with the partnership of another club.
There is plenty of action in and out of the sheets. New characters are introduced. Again the author keeps every page moving and characters you need to know more about. I'm on to book three and anxious for four.
After the utter betrayal of his beloved wife and narrowly escaping the death she tried to orchestrate, Wolf is trying to start over but he's at loose ends. A face from the past thrusts him into the role of protector and brings him back to life.
It was just another day at the office for Blair, a clinical psychologist with prisoners, until her slacker co-worker calls in "sick". Meeting with a prisoner she doesn't know is always a little sketchy but there's something about this one that has her more than a little tense, turns out she had good reason to be. She's been kidnapped, beaten and is on the path to certain death, by a deranged madman, until the president of the local MC shows up and saves the day and her life.
I thoroughly enjoyed the continuation of Wolf's story. This story is multifaceted, deep, suspenseful and sexy. We also get a glimpse of the back story with Bruf, which fascinates me. I can't wait for more of the Westside Skulls!
Holy shit, this series. I thought I was addicted to the Southside Skulls but the Westside Skulls has me even more hooked. Just the two books alone has left my jaw unhinged and on the floor. This book is full of deception, action, inner conflict and conflict with others, suspense, intrigue, sexy dirty talking alpha MC men and so much more. Jessie Cooke has quickly jumped onto my list of must read authors and MC series. I am constantly keeping my eye out for the next in the series because I have to know how this series is going to play out. I have fallen for all the MC men and can't wait to get more of their stories. Wolf alone was such a doozy he needed two!
The way this book ended just made the anticipation higher because oh lord will the MC be able to stop what lies in their future in time? Will they find out the plans against them? Will they find who is against them? The questions just keep growing along with my anticipation and I am a sucker for these types of books. This is definitely a must read!!

I don't really know how this all works; I will by the end of the series I'm sure. But, this book is called Wolf 2, I already read Wolf 1: The Prequel. Normally prequels happen after the series is written, so I'm a little confused? Because this reads like it was the first in the series.
Anyhoo, it's really cool for a motorcycle romance. Wolf ends up saving the life of Blair, who is a court appointed psychologist working with prisoners on parole. All I can say is, I'm not sure her experience as a psychologist is worth much if she is swayed from her role to be the lover of a President of a motorcycle club who kills a man in front of her? You'd think that sort of behaviour would repel a psychologist and make you buy shares in a yacht because he's going to be expensive to figure out?
But I loved it, nonetheless. And the beginnings of the side story of Bruf and Sabrina, even better.
I'm planning to read all books in the series, THEN, go back and read the series this is the crossover from.

This book completes the biography of the President of the Westside Skulls, Wolf. He meets Blair, a psychologist for the penal system in California, as he tries to navigate the club through the maze of law of enforcement snares. Blair has been sold out by her colleague, attacked by her colleague parolee and kidnapped threatened with death. Wolf comes to the aid of his member, saves Blair and kills the parolee. The law wants to charge him with murder of the parolee. It would seem that the officer who investigates the incident has an ax to grind with Wolf and his boss who has connections to Wolf's father and past. Can he save his club, foster a relationship with Blair after his heart was broken by his ex wife or will he sacrifice himself for the greater good. Great series, good read. Characters are fleshed out.
Wolf 2: Westside Skulls Motorcycle Club - 3 stars.
Even though I just read the prequel a few weeks ago, it took me some a few chapters to really get back into this book.
This story follows Wolf, president of the Westside Skulls Motorcycle club and Blair, a psychologist who works with the criminal justice system through their accidental meeting and subsequent development of their relationship. Once Blair and Wolf met, this book and storyline really picked up. However, I didn’t feel like the storyline had good resolution (it definitely resolved), but there was a lot of build up and then it was kind of like, hey, this is how we solved our problems. The end.
I would definitely read more of Jessie Cooke’s books, though.
This is the second book in this phenomenal series, and is the continuation of Wolf’s story. Wolf is the President of the MC and is struggling to move forward with his life, and Blair is a psychologist who helps inmates to get back into the community. When Blair is kidnapped and abused, it is Wolf who rescues her. This is a fantastic story which is well written and is an engaging page turner from beginning to end. This story has danger, violence, action, drama and romance, all which had me totally enthralled throughout. This is one of my favourite authors’, and I highly recommend her work for all MC lovers out there. I cannot wait to read more in this fantastic series!
I really enjoyed this book!! I really recommend you read Wolf prequel before you read this book as the prequel has the backstory and really helps explain everything!! Wolf is the president of the Westside Skulls MC and Bailey is a psychologist for the department of corrections so basically a serious case of opposites attract!! This book is a definite rollercoaster of emotion!! There is betrayal, angst, twists and turns that have you dropping a serious amount of f-bombs, drama and alot of hot sex that could seriously melt the sheets!! This book is a definite must read and I highly recommend it!!
After all the trouble with Wolf and his ex he is a little down he likes having one women to sleep with his not like his fellow brothers that like a different women ever night. So when trouble sticks again and one of his brothers is taken to find him they trace it to this department of corrections therapist and find she has been taken to. Wolf and some of his brothers arrive at the right time to save Blair and granite from being killed. And Wolf is attacked to Blair . But soon their trouble is still there and maybe to much is going to keep them apart. So enjoy another go read!!
Wow!!! Wolf is still hung up over the betrayal of his ex-wife. He thinks he doesn’t want a relationship because he couldn’t trust his partner. Then Blair comes roaring his life, but he doesn’t know if he can trust her fully. Mistakes have been made that puts Wolf’s club in jeopardy. Blair is just trying to help, but the way she goes about it makes it feel like a betrayal to Wolf. Will these two get their miscommunications under wraps and be able to move on to a future relationship? I can’t wait for Bruf’s book!!
Jessie Cooke is marvelous at weaving a story and telling a several tales. In this one Wolf finds his forever love, after she has been through he'll and he saves her. There are a few background storylines one with the two detectives investigating the shooting, then there's the ones with Bruf his best friend. They take a trip to see the big fight and Dax, Gunner, Zack, and their old ladies make a kinda camio appearance. I did seem a little rushed at the end but I guess that was because it kinda ends with a twist...
OMG ! This follow up book was awesome. Wolf was an amazing hero in this story. I was completely pulled into the plot. Loved Blair and happy that Wolf finally found a good woman. I so hated that ex from the first book. This one had some good action, hot sex, a lot of surprises, and a great set up for Bruf's book. I will be diving into that one next.
This book was awesome. Wolf finally gets some peace after his last ordeal. Blair is thrown into the MC world and finds she never wants out. This book has a word wind of emotion and I really enjoyed reading it. This Author never lets me down. Excellent writing with a explosive storyline.
With the aftermath of throwing his soon to be ex wife out Wolf is lost. He is not like the rest of the guys he wants one special woman in his life. He heads off to Vegas after rescuing one of his men and a woman. What he did not bargain for was seeing her again and the aftermath of the rescue coming back to haunt him.
Love Wolf. He is a great MC President. I liked his story but it ended too soon. I want to know more as I felt like we were just getting to know him. So glad Amara got hers though but I think he went too easy on her. Would love to revisit her and Wolf really give her what she deserves. Another must read series by this author. Loving her work
This is a continuation of the prequel to this series, and it was great. Wolf has a lot of unexpected situations come up that lands him in trouble. Will he be able to get out of it all, and get the woman of his dreams? You'll have to read it to find out. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and terrific author.
Wolf picks up where the prequel left off. I am definitely a fan of the series and want to continue reading the books as they come out. They have a good solid plot that actually makes you interested without being so heavy that you trod your way through it. Solid 4 star read!
