To protect her park, warden Jenny Willson isn’t above breaking a few rules … or bones.
Book #1 — Full Curl
Poachers and bureaucrats: Park warden Jenny Willson considers them equally repulsive and worthy of the same fate. When she discovers animals disappearing from Canada’s mountain parks, Willson finds herself racing down a trail lined with deceit, distraction, and murder, and tempted to cross a line to a place she might not be able to come back from.
Book #2 — No Place for Wolverines
When Jenny Willson initiates a covert inquiry into a proposed ski hill in Yoho National Park, she must decide if she’s willing to risk her career — and perhaps her life and the lives of those close to her — to reveal what lurks in the darkness.

i sure did have a great week-end travelling over to ʔaq̓anqmi / bonner's ferry with two most incredible books -- that happen to be situated within the traditional territory of the kootenay: i. full curl and ii. no place for wolverines. if you have already read full curl, can you imagine the particular pleasure of travelling over the international border, and recognizing just how many times the moyie river curls back and forth again and again after reading book 1: Full Curl. omg. all i know for sure is that dave butler's work captures life in the kootenays in such esquisite detail. i could not help but fall in love, love, life with these books -- i swear to you, Dave Butler's first two books in his jenny willson mystery series are sooo good. not only are the stories absolutely compelling, but they are ssssuperstar informative, too in a nonassuming manner. just like the protagonist. all i know for sure is that i spent a most enjoyable week-end obsessively reading these books. i simply could not put these books down to do anything but read them. seriously, if you are into passionate and compelling writing about the kootenays,...you simply must. p.s. the ending of book 2: no place for wolverines actually made me cry. in public. it is that good. hiy hiy.
