Tragedy. Loss. Abuse. Laura is suffocating and needs to move before she is completely consumed in sorrow. Her world has been ripped apart, feeling utterly broken she decides to try to start a new life by to Texas. Being a single father and raising a child on his own while running a ranch is enough for Logan to handle. With occasional detective work thrown into the mix Logan has enough to keep him busy. Their worlds collide. Can they help each other and start to heal and move forward? Or will the dangers in Laura's past catch up with her keeping her lost in her sorrows forever? This book has graphic content, not recommended for young readers.
This was a author I read for the first time. While it definitely had some weak moments over all I quite enjoyed the story. Logan and Laura we a cute couple. It was an Insta love story, she has had some really bad stuff she needed to work through, Logan helped her as did Logan's cutie son Cody. For a first time novel it wasn't bad at all. I will definitely check out other books when they are published. Hope she does both Jenny & Maggie's stories.
One Moment by Elizabeth Savino is a great debut and i hope that she will be adding some more stories with the other characters we met in Pleasentville, TX. One Moment is the story of Laura and Logan. Laura has suffered incredible loss and is trying to pick up pieces and find a reason for keep going ... Logan is deeply disappointed in women and is living for his child and his work ... Now, their paths cross and their lives collide ... how does it go for them? will they make it? Well ... pick up a copy! The writer has given us some great characters and yes, at times the writing is not as smooth as by some other established writers but i personally could not put it down until i was done with it! And then i went to check if there is anything else out by her!
I loved this book! Logan and Laura are so perfect for each other. I am looking forward to more books from this author!! I can't wait for Maggie and Jenny's books!!
2.0 RATING- This is kind of a tough review to write. I'm not going to spend time tearing the book apart. I know it takes a lot of guts for an author (especially a new author) to put a novel out, but there were some issues. Primary issue was the writing quality. It seemed very amateurish to a degree that I just couldn't overlook. There were editing issues as well. I could tell that the author had been inspired by Kristen Ashley, which I don't have a problem with, but with the writing - it just didn't work for me at all. Maybe this is a first attempt at writing and the author can continue to develop as she works on future projects.

This book would have been perfect except for a few idiosyncrasies of the writing style. How wonderful (not) is that crap with the parentheses. And some obvious editing errors: serine for serene, one is nonessential the other is not. But for a first book this is amazing, I could not put it down and eagerly await more. This author goes right up there with my favorites and I hope she is a fast writer.
It was a lovely story, a little bit of angst, a little bit of drama, a little bit of comedy, a little bit of suspense. Overall I enjoyed it and I will probably read more by this author. I can’t say I was wowed, I was able to set down my tablet several times throughout the day without a huge urge to rush back to the story but it still good.
A gem of a find, a brilliant book by a new author-to me. It was an easy read, full of emotions and very moving in places, and funny in others, I was tickled by the bad guys reference to himself using his own name-such a tool . A fab array of friends and hopefully some more books on the couple you can already see forming. And lil Cody was a beautifully written character. I will be looking for more from this author.
Very rare for me to give 5 stars ⭐️ I absolutely loved this book. Not going to lie it was slow starting. Laura was so heartbroken that I was getting annoyed and beginning to not like her. Then she started to change and grow. Somewhere I fell in love and could not put it down. This is a beautiful story Now we need Maggie’s story and a development with Darren and Jenny
I have seen this book recommended multiple times in my Facebook groups and finally got a chance to read it and it was amazing!!! There were some issues with typos and grammar but it did not really take away from the story.
I feel so repetitive sometimes when I say this is the type of story I love, a bit of angst, small town life and an alpha law enforcement male. Not sure what it is but I'm just so drawn to these stories. Adding in the heroine who is running from someone/something thinking she is weak but ultimately we all see how strong they really makes the story even better.
I hope to see more books from this author, I saw it was her debut, will definitely keep an eye out for more.
This was a fantastic debut novel and I can’t wait for more from this author. Aside from a few editing issues, this story is beautiful. Laura is running from her past and knows she’s destined to be alone, but then she meets Cody and Logan. Cody helps bring these two together, but Logan proves that he’s not about to let Laura’s fears keep them apart once he sees that her beauty is soul-deep. Add in some suspense and good friends and you’ve got a great book.
From start to finish, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My heart broke for Laura, with all that she had lost. Luckily she found a balm in Logan and his precious son Cody. Their story had just the right amount of drama, angst and steamy love. The secondary characters were also great. I'm looking forward to reading more about them.
I went into this book not expecting this story to grab me & it did. I was invested in their story from the beginning. Laura was so great & a quirky way to her. I loved her character from page 1 add in Logan & Cody & perfection. Looking forward to more.
I'm struggling with how many stars to give this book Logan is a rancher, detective, single dad with an amazingly written son. Laura is so broken but wants to live again. The story was wonderful! I laughed with them, I cried for them, I loved these characters. Then why the struggle? There was a lot of "clutter" and some editing errors that took me out of the story. I want to give the story 5 stars. I want to give the book 3 stars. I will settle on 4.
I just couldn't get into this story. It read like so many other books I've read, all combined with bits and pieces, all pasted together. I wasn't a fun. Sorry. I decided to finish Rae book by skipping a lot of pages. LOVETOREAD
Pretty good, slow start but kept me interested. However, it was the errors in spelling and punctuation “particularly quotation marks) that got me about this book. I plan on getting the next book I. The series, and hope that the series improves
