This sequel to Bound by Shadows continues the story of Eris and Rylan.
Rylan Gilles has found a new life in Havenwood Falls. A better one. One with a new pack, a new family, friends, a job, and even a girlfriend. He vows to himself to never allow his past to interfere with his future. But when an enemy of his father, a psychotic shifter named Lars, hunts down and kills his old pack’s alpha, they turn to Rylan to lead and save them.
Eris Blaekthorn has been working on growing her newfound magical powers, and with that has come intense nightmares that feel more like premonitions. Horrifying images of a large, dark shifter ripping Rylan to shreds and killing him plague her dreams. But when she tries to discuss these with Rylan, he shuts her out.
Dead set on keeping his personal vow, Rylan’s determined to handle Lars on his own, but Eris knows where this will end. She hopes he’ll turn to her and his new pack for help, while she fears that he’ll do the opposite. If he faces Lars alone, her nightmares may soon turn to reality. This exciting novella in the Havenwood Falls High series continues Eris and Rylan’s story from the previous book, Bound by Shadows. Threats from the past, life and death situations, bloody battles, sweet romance, and twisted revenge, all add up to a thrilling story that will keep you entertained to the very last page.

As with every Cameo Renae book I've read, I just end up with all the feels and feeling great of how wonderfully all ends tie together. Wonderful follow up to Eris' and Rylan's story. I fell in love with these characters from the get go and the dual PoV does not dissapoint.
Easy read, entertaining, action packed and beautifully written. Loved it.

Another hit sequel for the Havenwood Falls High Series!!!
Shadows & Spells is a Novella by Cameo Renae. I have to admit that I wasn't sure about several authors writing with a cohesive vision of a complex and diverse setting like this series, but I'm blown away with each installment. Each novella is stand alone and builds one every other story and characters. With each novella, I can't wait to read more and find out more of the hidden secrets that are so a part of this world. In this follow-up installment we find Eris and her very hot boyfriend Rylan Gilles trying to move on from the drama of their meeting. Sounds easy right? Not so much. Eris is still learning to control her new powers and has horrifying visions that would mean a gruesome end to her beau. Rylan is determined to take care of the big, bad on his own.... You know that's not going to end well. All in all, it's an awesome addition to this wonderful series. Seamlessly meshes with the rest of the Havenwood Falls world.

Love these characters so much!! The names that were chosen throughout this series were so unique!! Rylan and Eris are perfectly matched and I loved the affection and sizzle between them. The intrigue surrounding them was intense and it was so interesting discovering the puzzle of what drove Lars solved. This was gruesome in a spot or two and I was like...... ewwwww! I may have held my hand over my eyes... Ms. Renae certainly gifted the Havenwood Falls High universe with memorable characters and an incredible plot. Everything she pens takes you hostage. This was yet another reason why she's a favorite 💖💖💖

Spell Binding
Another excellent addition to this series both as havenwood falls and individually. It is amazing to take a ride on the relationship of Rylan and Eris and watch them grow as a couple. Even though both are in high school you watch how the are fiercely protective of each other and you can just see sparks as they spend time together.
Of course no story could be complete without a bad guy trying to mess things up. When this bad guy comes into the picture more things are learned and you might find yourself a little shocked in the process.
Come along with me and we shall find what lurks in the shadows.

I love all of these Havenwood Falls stories. I think they're all very entertaining and some are suspenseful. They would make a great TV series with a different story each week since each of the books are so short. That's probably my only complaint - they're too short, so over too soon. Not that I would want filler material just to make a story longer, but to have more story would be nice. Maybe if they were all around a $1 I wouldn't feel so bad. With several books released every month, the cost adds up and I'm beginning to feel like I'm not getting my money's worth.

Make sure to read
Make sure to read the first book, bound by shadows. I did have to go back and skim that one to get a refresher for this one. Make sure to read about this book, it gives a bit of a recap, but o needed a bit more. This novella moves very fast, but definitely felt finished at the end with Lars and excess characters. I did enjoy it and recommend the entire series!

Make sure to read Bound by Shadows first!
This continuation is amazing. Eris and Rylan come into their own more and deal with some struggles. I love watching returning characters grow!
