She melted my cold heart. Showed my body what it craved.
Now, she carries my unborn child, and I ran away.
I ran. But not for the reason she thinks…

Sam
Life has a way of biting you in the ass when you least expect it.
Now it’s my turn to feel the chomp of karma’s teeth…
My oldest daughter is sick. My old lady is pregnant.

I have a habit of running away from being a father.
Stepping up as a ‘dad’ and settling down was never in my game plan.
I vowed that with her things will be different.
Promised I’d take care of her like no other man could.
But it isn’t that simple…

In this life, fate likes to strike twice.
A shared connection comes to light,
A connection that could cost the woman who carries my baby, her life.
She may think I’ve given up on her and this baby, but I never will.
I’ll do everything in my power to protect what’s mine.

When both my past and future come back to bite me, will fate finally get me or will sinister darkness destroy the woman I love?

I live in a small town in Wisconsin. From my deck, I can see the Mississippi River on one side and the bluffs, where eagles live and nest on the other side. I live with my husband Dave and dog Buddy. My two children are grown and I have two grandchildren. I love to watch people and that has helped me with my writing. I often use people I watch as characters in my books and I always try to give my characters some of my own values and habits.

I love to create characters and put them in a troubling situation then sit back and let them do all the work. My characters surprise even me at times. At some point in the book, they take on a life of their own and the twists and turns they create becomes the story. Of all the stories, I could write I found I like mystery/thrillers the best. I like to keep my readers guessing until the very end of the book.

Can Sam be a real man for once and take responsibility for the child Melora and he are having. He’s already has several children by different women and walked away from them all but nows a chance at least to show some atonement for his actions when he deserted his children by standing up for Melora, but will he?
There’s also several extra characters expecting a happy event which adds joy to the brothers. There’s lot’s going on in this exciting short read which does end in a cliffhanger. Looking forward to more!

“I love you”…three simple words that can bring some men to their knees and make life long changes for some women. This is the place that Sam and Melora were in. Melora loved Sam with all her heart and loved their baby she was carrying. Sam on the other hand has already walked away from three of his children and Melora was waiting for him to do the same to her.

This story still brought the past back to the forefront for Cassie, Peaches and Melora. When will they ever get the peace they so longed for?

Ok, so the first book in the series I wasn't quite sure about my feelings towards Sam. However, this book has solidified any variances that I had. Sam is an ass. A 52 year old ass. He is so incredibly vapid and so out of touch with his feelings and the feelings of others. His dumbass behavior is so unbelievable, that at that age he is still behaving as if he was a teenager or in his early 20s. At what point does he grow up. I mean really?

I've got to tell you, I'm not really feeling the multiple comments such as: "old man" or I thought it was too old for you. I mean the point was received the very first time, multiple references to their age becomes exhausting real quick and is unnecessary.

Melora in this book held to her standards until she got what she wanted in one respect and in the other she loves Sam to rush her into something she wasn't quite ready for. She seems to be smart, because as far as plans she keeps coming up with all of them.

Now, I must say Iceman seems to be the coolest (no pun intended) one of them all. He seems even tempered, smart and very calculating. I would love to explore more of Iceman. So far out of all of them he seems to be the most intriguing. Of course I would like to know more about the Zipper, but I think that's just the nerd in me. Something about a man who can navigate computers seem so awesome to me. At best I would rate this book as three stars simply because there are a lot of irritating, vapid and dull moments.

Let me just get this out of the way... I Love K.J. Dahlen's work and I can not believe that I am totally 'fan-girling' right now, trust me, I don't do the 'fan-girl' thing... Ever. While I try immensely hard never to give away the plot, I have been recommending this MC deliciousness to everyone I know before I was completed with the first book. With this release, you get to catch up on all of the characters and get introduced to even more. I can not get enough of this ever changing storyline. The amazing characters coupled with the talent displayed throughout by K.J. will suck you right in. Now I have to devour the next book in this series, No Regrets.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Karma's Bitch in exchange for my honest opinion and I couldn't devour it fast enough. Join me in reading these superbly crafted books. If you love dramatic scenes, a brotherhood of gorgeous MC men and their golden hearts hidden by their gruff exterior as well as a love so strong then I promise you that K.J. will blow you away too. Absolutely Perfect.

Book two starts out where book one left off. There are more revelations, especially about Sam. These revelations have the potential to wreck the relationships he's been building with Deke and Melora, but will they? There's also danger still lurking around the MC.

This series seems to be a spinoff from a previous series, Satan's Spawn MC. At least I think that's the one. Reading the first book in this series, Silk & Bones, without having read the other series wasn't that big of a deal, as far as understanding goes. However, with this book, there was a lot of references to events and people from the previous series. There was some explanation so I didn't feel completely lost, but I do wish I would have read the other series first.

The book ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to get started on reading book three. I have a feeling things are about to get a whole lot more interesting .... and complicated.

Sam and Melora's story continues in this installment of the series.

When Melora learns that she is pregnant with Sam's child she is reluctant to say anything to him because of his track record. Three previous women had his child and he left them. When he walks away after she finally tells him her secret she's had enough. She plans to move in with Izzy and Mountain until she can figure out what to do but before she can even get settled with all the recent changes in her life. She is in danger yet again and this time its because of her association with the club. Can the club keep her safe again? Will Sam man up before he loses Melora for good?

This is a great continuation of this series and it will have your attention from the first page. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

This is the continuation of Melora and Sam's story. This book definitely doesn't put Sam in a very good light. He is the father of 4 children, all by different women, and he walked away from all of them when he found out they were pregnant. Will he really walk away from Melora?
This story brings all of his children together. while it is obvious these two have something special, they did hook up the day after meeting, will they be in for a long relationship?
I enjoy how this series is a continuation from the previous series. She does a great job of introducing new characters but keeping you up to date on old friends.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Sin's Bastards series and continues with the story of Melora and Sam. In this book, Melora learns she is pregnant and Sam doesn't react well to the news. Melora leaves Sam ans moves in with Mountain. Sam also learns his oldest daughter is sick and doesn't want to see him. Sam wants to help her, but he doesn't know how. When Deke learns he has a sister, he is angry at Sam, but he will do anything to help. New dangers arise and threaten everyone. Izzy and Mountain grow closer. This is a great series and i loved this book. I can't wait to continue reading.

When Sam Tory steps in he steps in it big. Melora knowing she is having Sam's baby is hesitant to share the news with him because of his track record of running - he left Deke's mom but then again he didn't know she was pregnant, they find out he has another daughter just younger than Deke who sick and has her father's rare blood type. Then Sam drops a bomb and reveals he has another daughter who is just 14. Can Melora believe that Sam will marry her for love or just for the baby? Oh yeah, and then there's the bad guy.
This is a continuation of a wonderful MC series by K.J Dahlen very worth the read.

The threat to Melora's life has been eliminated and life is moving forward. She and Sam have found a nice rhythm, but Melora is hiding something from Sam. If that isn't bad enough Sam is hiding things from everyone. When Sam's secret finally comes to light, Melora decides why not add her secret to his. With so much being thrown at him Sam walks away again from a woman who means something to him. When he finally comes to terms with everything that has happened it may be to late to win back the love of his life.

This group keeps getting better and better!

Sam and Melora have so much going on in this story. Things hit hard for all of the MCs again and the stress and strain hits closer to home than they’d like. He’s an idiot that doesn’t understand what’s going on around him most times, but things have a way of working out eventually. Now there’s new issues arising and I cannot wait to see what happens!

Karma is not always easy to deal with but you can be sure that it always finds you. Sam has to make some choices and they are not easy to make. But can he deal with it and come back. Is it the right choices he makes? Why does he keep running away?
Well written story with a nice storyline and plot. I like that the characters and how they develop. A passionate and emotional read with twists. Enjoyable and recommendable.

Second book in Melora and Sam's story and she finds herself pregnant, when she tells Sam, he does what he's done before and runs away but not because she's pregnant but because his daughter needs him, however Melora is in danger.
This instalment, though you dislike Sam, you get it, this was exciting and page turning all in one breath, I really liked it and couldn't put it down.

Holy Karma! This continues the story of Melora and Sam, and the rest of the MC. Sam is having to deal with his past mistakes all coming back to smack him in the face. He loves Melora, but he can't bring himself to tell her. When another threat is on the MC's doorstep and Melora is in danger again, will he be able to admit his feeling for her? What will happen to the women the MC protects? You'll have to read to find out! This one sucks you in again, which is not a bad thing!!!

So I totally read this before Silk and Bones (which I’m reading now). I’ll admit I felt a bit lost as to who was who and what. But the story still lended itself to capturing my attention. So much so that I’m backtracking to get the info. A very good series so far! And I love that it’s like a continuation of the last series. Highly recommended.

Melora knows that the secret she is carrying could push the man she loves away. Sam has always known that he wasn't the perfect dad. Will Sam stay around for his child? Will Melora be able to handle all the changes?

Loved this continuation for Melora and Bones. I loved learning a little bit more on why Bones is the way he is and that he was willing to make changes to improve. I love Melora's attitude and was glad she didn't just give in to the drama. Great read!

I was provided an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.....
Seriously, Bones (Sam)....!!???!!! This man is incapable of stepping up and being a real man! I again could find nothing redeeming about him. I think I just need to get on to the next book in the series..... The bright spot in the book is Melora and the introduction of characters who’s full stories are yet to be told. Fast, paced page turner, get past Bones and you’re good

Book 2 and just as good as book 1. Sam "Bones" and Melora's story continues as she now finds out she's pregnant. Not only that but there are other issues that the MC has to deal with as well as people who try to take what's thiers. We also meet new characters that will intrigue you. You definitely have to take a ride with this group of men and women, there is so much to love about this series.

This second installment puts Bones past transgressions into light and boy was it a LOT. Bones is a hardcore Biker but underneath is somewhat a heart of gold. He found his "old lady" but he also found a heap of everything else. A look into Bones' life is fraught with some felt intensity. All over the book is good and it opens up other key players in the book. A lot going on but it can be followed.

All it takes is those three little word that makes every ones heart quicken. But for some they are the hardest to speak. Sam and Melora story is one that made my heart ache for them and what they had to go through. I like that we have character crossovers to help tell the main couples story. I cant wait to read the next book.

You wouldn't think saying three words would mean so much. It meant everything to Melora. Sam needed to say it. He struggled with choices in his past, decisions he thought was right, now he regretted immensely. When three MC's come together there's always trouble lurking outside their gates. This book is no exception. Happy Reading!!!

I received this book from the author and am happily reviewing it. I would thoroughly recommend this book and absolutely loved it. Featuring Sam and Melora it deals with Sam wanting to step up now that Melora is pregnant with his child. Can she trust that Sam loves her and not just the baby and when the past comes back to haunt the MC can Sam and her dad Mountain keep her safe.

Back with the Sin's Bastards again and it's another action packed story. This book revolves mostly around the women who are in love with the men of the MC. Someone is out to get them and they will stop at nothing to get what they want. Great book and I'm loving this series so far.

Another great book.

Two books in and already my favorite MC series. The characters seem real! They way they interact with each other. They could be a real family. Action, love and new family. This is a must read!

Good read but kinda redundant.

I love this author's work but this book seemed to have a lot of the same storylines as others. I will try to keep reading the next ones and hope for differences.
