If the Croatoans on Roanoke don’t kill her, one of the many women in Captain Quinn Callaghan’s life will.
Heading to the New World to bring a mysterious box to Lady Killigrew’s sister, Quinn and her pirate shipmates face dangers unlike any they have ever encountered. The journey alone is fraught with perils, but what they find when they land in Roanoke is enough to chill even a hardened pirate’s bone.
But this delivery is barely less dangerous than the women in Quinn’s life--a couple of whom wish to see her dead while another reunites with her. As Quinn is forced to recognize the eventual collapse of Ireland as well as the end of some of her deepest friendships, she makes a decision that will alter the fate of both her life and her crew’s.
In this fifth installment of the Plundered Series, you will be taken on a ride that will leave you breathless with every turn of the page as Quinn struggles to keep her men, her women, and herself alive.

I’ve been a fan of Westmore, aka Linda Kay Silva, for a long while now. She is a talented author who writes books that contain a lot of adventure. This is the fifth book in her Plundered Chronicle Series. I must admit I did not care for book 4 all that much. The story took a much darker tone and was too depressing for me. I’m so happy to say this book was like the earlier books, filled with swashbuckling adventure. This was the story I was hoping for and I’m very happy with the direction the series is now going. Westmore mixes in real historical people and places and re-imagines history. I’m excited to read what new adventures Quinn will be up to next and also really happy with the new love interest. If you are a fan of this series I think you will enjoy this book. If you are new to the series and looking for a good lesfic pirate story, try book one The Pirate's Booty. This series and other books under Westmore are currently available with Kindle Unlimited.
Thankfully, this one isn't as dark as the other two before.
And I love how Quinn finally move on from Evan, Evan have never been my favorite character for Quinn love interest.
I truly love how the story headed. At last Quinn headed to Barbary corsairs. I'm sure the meeting with Sayyida will be inevitable, I can only hope Sayyida will warm up to Quinn...
Tbh I've always wanted those two to be end game, idk if its possible tho, considering the new love interest. But all in all, I'd always hope for Sayyida and Quinn to rekindle lol for next installment maybe. And endgame pls! I've always had this vision that Quinn ignited something in Sayyida.
The new love interest is kinda :/// for me, I don't feel the chemistry. Idk, maybe it's just me, I don't know if I can warm up to her.
But I like the new installment, can't wait for the next one!
This is amazing. I am more than happy how the continuation from the last book turned out. It is back to the dashing charm of Captain Callaghan. I imagine Kaylish as the Irish actress Elaine Cassidy (Maud from the book adaptation Fingersmith) She is instantly desirable and i cannot wait to see how the encounter with Sayyida will go.
Another great book. This series truly is perfectly splendid. So so good. I enjoyed this one a lot and I’m so happy Quinn finally found the love of her life, or so it seems lol Just hope this one is the real deal and will last. Kaylish seems to be a good lass. Book 6/last book here I come.
I just finished this and while I enjoyed it, and I hope I’m wrong about this, I’m kind of sad because it feels like the author is winding down the series. All the exes and some of the enemies have had their tales wound down. I do like the new love interest and I hope Kaylish gets more fleshed out in a later book. When we’re introduced to her, we learn we she’s a witch but nothing comes of that. There are some hints near the end about her so with luck, she’ll get plenty of time in the next book.
There is plenty of action. Quinn is maturing and coming to accept her role and the changes in the world. She is an inspiring character. Some of her crew members also get more time and are more developed. Maggie is a pretty amazing character herself and I enjoyed getting to know her better. I was hoping for more time in the New World than what was actually written but otherwise I enjoyed the read. It is a good swashbuckling pirate story.
I finished Dead Man’s Chest and WOW. I didn’t want to stop reading it. I loved Quinn and her crew. Very action packed, have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Even though it’s a adventure story it’s also very much a love story. Yes Quinn has a bit of a love interest but it’s more about the love between a captain and her crew. That bond grows stronger with each book. I highly recommend this book to anyone. Can’t wait for the next book 😄.
Yo Ho Ho and another very fun read by Alex Westmore. This is the fifth book in The Plundered Chronicles series. I somehow accidentally missed number three and four, but my enjoyment of this story was not hampered, because Alex provides just enough back story through moving the current plot forward, that many of the blanks in my head were sufficiently filled. Of course I intend to go back and fill in the details, but my point is that this story works as a stand alone. This author does such a great job of writing action, that I could truly visualize what the characters were experiencing and doing. The attention to detail for historic accuracy was impressive and managed to be both informative and entertaining. Quinn is a fantastic hero; strong, fearless, loyal and sexy as hell. Her charisma is palpable and the vulnerability that the reader is privvy too just makes her all the more appealing. This was a story I couldn't put down and I recommend to anyone looking for an exciting historic adventure filled with pirates and a touch of romance.
I am so glad that Alex Westmore had the opportunity to continue this most excellent series. It's got pirates, beautiful women and crazy adventures to be sure... But what sets this series apart IMO is the fact that the author so clearly has a love for history that extends to her books. There has obviously been a ton of painstaking research done into historical figures and places that shines through in each book. I blasted through this book (after a marathon re-read of the first four books) and loved every minute of it. Definitely a book I'll return to as a favourite.
So many plot threads came to a close in this tale. It feels like we're nearing the end. Having closure for these side characters has been delightful. I'm loving these ongoing adventures of Quinn, but I hope they come to an end soon, giving her a happy, loving ending. I really can't recommend this series enough! To put it simply it's very compelling.
Once again Alex has written a outstanding book, about Quinn and her crew. And for me a healing for Evan. This book finds more adventure of love ,Healing and loss. Got to love them pirates.
Thank you so much for closure on Evan. I am glad both are happy. I do hope for another to see how Morocco treats the crew. I love reading the author books
