Trevor Saunders #2

Fighting for Honor

Rate this book
***This book was previously published in Amazon Kindle Worlds*** Life had been nearly perfect for Honor Carpenter over the last two years. She was surrounded by great friends and family, had a great job, and was now engaged to the most incredible man she’d ever met, U.S. Navy SEAL Trevor Bootstrap Saunders. Trevor and his friends, Matthew Wolf Steele and his wife Caroline, had saved Honor from a group of terrorists two years earlier. The radical group had sought to use her as a pawn to acquire secret propulsion technology from her father, a renowned aeronautics engineer. Trevor, Wolf, and Caroline thwarted their plans. The terrorists have now returned and this time, are better funded and better prepared. Honor is kidnapped by a Syrian dissident with ISIS connections and a dark personal agenda that would compromise national security in unprecedented fashion. With the clock ticking Trevor Saunders once again enlists the aid of his friend, Matthew Wolf Steele, to execute a clandestine operation against overwhelming odds with the nearly impossible goals of both saving Honor and preserving national security. Fighting for Honor is the story of a Navy SEAL willing to sacrifice everything to save his fiancé. It’s filled with edge-of-your-seat action and tender romance.

I am new to writing romance, though I have written professionally in the media world for over 15 years. My first published novel, Searching for Honor, went to #1 on the entire Amazon KindleWorlds network and held the position for three weeks.

When I'm not writing I am spending most of my time with family. With two children and two grandchildren my life is hopping.

I just celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary.

Fighting for Honor gets a big high five!

Jesse Jackson has totally accomplished the goal of writing an extremely satisfying book with Susan Stoker's characters. These characters truly live up to the Travis and Honor we know and love. Wolfe and Carolyn lend their weight to this story and as always are two of my favorite recurring couples. While we see Honor get kidnapped again we also see the strong love and family background all the secondary characters possess. This is a really good and truly will keep you entertained and unable to put it down.

Just wow!

What an exciting story it's action packed all the way through and keeps you hooked. I'm all about sexy men but you put sexy Navy Seals in a story and I'm swooning all over again.

This book takes place 2 years after Protecting Honor and though it is a continuation, in a sense, of the first book, it can be read as a standalone and still make sense. Life is good for Honor and Trevor. They are engaged and she is finally coming out of her shell with the help of her therapy and Trevor’s love and support. She is gaining more confidence and finally putting her past behind her. She has a wonderful guy, a good job and great friends. She is living her dream. However, after 2 years of non-activity from the terrorist cell that tried to kidnap her previously the FBI and others have become lax in their protection and left an opening for a threat to re-emerge and no one sees it coming. A casual morning turns into a nightmare as Honor is captured by the same terrorist cell that tried once before. This time they are better funded and better prepared. The leader of the group has strong ISIS connections and aside from his terroristic agenda, he is also out for revenge. Two years ago, his brother was head of the group that tried to abduct Honor before when Trevor and Wolf intervened, killing them all. He is determined to succeed where his brother had failed. This time around his plan is more detailed and prepared. He wants Honor, her father and Trevor and Wolf to pay the price along with her father’s journal which holds national security secrets that could destroy the world. With little time and much at stake can Trevor and Wolf come up with a plan to save the day or will Honor, her father or one of them have to make the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good? This is an action-packed novella that will have you on the edge-of-your-seat from beginning to end.

One of the things i like about Kindle Worlds stories is the opportunity to try new authors while still having cameo appearances of characters by authors you already like. Susan Stoker is a favorite of mine and many of the stories in her Kindle World have been fun to read. Unfortunately, this book (and the one proceeding it) cannot be included in that category. I've never read this author before and I won't be purchasing any of her other works. The plot was was fairly typical - strong alpha SEAL rescues his lady love from terrorists, along with help from some of his SEAL buddies. The problem is that the writing was amateurish, with errors in grammar through out and multiple inconsistencies, even within the same paragraph. I might have been able to overlook these issues if I was engaged in the story. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. This novella was the second by this author with the same characters and yet there was no additional fleshing out of their personalities. They were one dimensional and i finished the book by asking "is that all there is?".

Wow what an amazing book, it has it all!! This was a new author to me and I'm so glad I took a chance!

This book is sort of a book 2 in a series where the couple is already together and I haven't read book one and I was able to enjoy this book. Honor and Trevor are enjoying their bliss especially after the issues from the first book and they are making plans. However unbeknownst to them, the bad guy from book one still wants revenge. This is the plot of book two.

I really liked Trevor. He was everything you would expect a Navy Seal would be like but it was also nice to read about him just being a man in love when his woman is in danger. Seeing the crack in his armor was a nice change of pace. Most stories about Seals, they don't really show the emotions even when it is someone close to them.

We didn't get much information on Honor in this book but the parts we did, we can see that she is an independent and fierce woman. She has complete faith in her man but isn't a shrinking violet either.

I really enjoyed this book!

Fighting for Honor: Special Forces: Operation Alpha is by Jesse Jacobson.
Honor was now engaged to Trevor Saunders. She had been saved by Trevor and Wolf from Syrian terrorists who were after her Father’s scientific project. Now they were dead so Honor was no longer under FBI surveillance. She was attending sessions with a therapist to get better from the rape she had experienced when she was fifteen. She never told anyone about it so it festered until this day. However, between therapy and Trevor, she was doing much better. She had left Trevor asleep while she went to her appointment. However, she never made it to the appointment, she had been kidnapped again. This time, they wanted her Father and his ledger. They also wanted Trevor and Wolf since they had embarrassed them before. Could they stop the men before they destroyed Honor and her Father?

Once again Honor is in trouble. Trevor is on leave when she gets into trouble and does what a Navy Seal does best. Lots of action and some sexy time with some great secondary characters. I'm loving this series by Jesse. Honor is taken in order to force her father to give over his work which would be bad. With some help from his friend Wolf and former seal and some help from other surprise characters we had another action packed great read. Reading the first book not necessary but they are all great reads. Loved it!

Another great read from Jesse. As Trevor and Honor settle into life with their engagement and relationship. Ahmet Orfali has again resurfaced and is after Honor, Wolf, Trevor and her dad after the first fiasco when they tried to grab her. As honor goes missing its up to Trevor and wolf to rescue her with the help of another Navy Seal and Rangers. with all of their lives on the line and the baddies after them all, can Trevor and his team rescue Honor and get out alive by they kill them all? a great read after the first book.

Fighting for Honor: I loved this addition in this series. I love Honor and Trevor. I like that the story was continued. All the characters were great. I liked that Even though Trevor was out of the country serving his country she never gave up on him or their relationship. He always tries to be there whenever she needs him. Trevor, Wolf, and Caroline were always there when something went wrong. Even with all the obstacles and his friends who would do anything for both of them. great story.

Honor and Trevor are now engaged. After what went down at the lodge when she met Trevor, Wolf, and Caroline, Honor is doing better.
Honor has been kidnapped. Trevor has called in Wolf. They get another Seal, Snake, to help.
When Wolf is hurt, Trevor is adamant about getting her back no matter what. He has a man he met at the fight club helping. Wolf shows up with some more unexpected help.
Will it be enough to get Honor back?

Good read

Trevor and Honor were engaged and recovering from the terrorist kidnapping from two years ago. Trevor had just returned from a tour and they were enjoying some time together. Every Monday she went to see her therapist. When Trevor woke up he found the note saying Honor had been kidnapped again. Immediately he began to form a plan to get her back.

This was definitely better than the last one. When Honor is kidnapped again, it's up to Trevor and Wolf to save her. Throw in a couple of street fighters and you got yourself a team.
