2,5. Con el buen rato que pasé con Lo quiero todo, el libro anterior de esta serie, me he llevado un pequeño chasco con esta historia. No está mal y entretiene, pero se me han hecho muy repetitivas las escenas sexuales y me ha faltado mucho más desarrollo para creerme ese instalove.

De todas maneras, me quedo con ganas de leer la historia de Becka.

There is just something about a tropical setting that lets people drop their guard and do things they normally wouldn't do in their everyday lives, and that is exactly what happens with Allie and Roman. Allie never expected to have a vacation fling let alone one with Roman, the man she was currently avoiding at home because he was trying to get her to sell her business to an investor he had that was interested in it. Problem was she was so good at avoiding him that she didn't know what he looked like, the same goes for him so no he didn't set out to seduce her in order to get what he wanted.

Roman,(who we met in book 1)pairs investors with business owners, after getting run around from Allie he finds out she's headed to the Caribbean for a vacation. He pulls some strings and follows her hoping to discuss his business proposal in person. While searching he sees a woman sunbathing and is instantly attracted to her, when he sees the same woman at the bar dparks fly and they agree to a no name's exchanged night of passion. Next morning he finds out his mystery goddess is none other than Allie.

Allie is the owner of a gym and a women's shelter, her business unfortunately is failing badly. She's convinced by her best friend Becka to finally take a short vacation. There she has a hot night with a stranger who turns out to be the man who's been hounding her to hear his business proposal,but Allie isn't interested so they agree to a vacation fling with no business talk.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as book 1 and that was entirely because of Allie, her business is failing but she buried her head in the sand and refused to even listen to Roman's proposal assuming it was what every other investor was offering. There was so much back and forth it was frustrating. She was just too stubborn and irritating for me.

Roman I did like, he was interested from the first glance and never wavered. He tried with Allie not only in their relationship but to help her business wise. I did think their sexy times were also ore awkward than sexy and as much sex as they had It just wasn't as passionate and connected as the couple from book 1.

I'm not sure I'll be a fan of Becka's but I'm moving on nevertheless.

Allie Landers knows the hardships women face from her own upbringing and she’s proud of what she’s been able to accomplish, running a women’s shelter with an adjoining gym. But the bills are starting to pile up. Investors have been calling, and she’s been putting them off but soon she’ll have to make some difficult choices. A getaway vacation to an island retreat is what she needs to sort things out, and when a sinfully handsome guest entices her into a one night stand she’s glad to put her troubles aside – until she finds out who the guest is.

Roman Bassani has been trying for weeks to get Allie to take a meeting with him. He’s got an investor whom he’s sure will be a good fit for her company which he can see is in danger of going under. Finding out that Allie has gone on holiday, he plans his own trip to the resort, but before deciding to look for Allie he spends an unforgettable night with the beautiful stranger who’d caught his eye. Then in the morning the truth rears its head when they introduce themselves properly. Roman is determined to get back into Allie’s good books and convince her that he can help her with his business but Allie is firm. She’s only interested in a no strings attached fling with no talk of business and no chance of anything happening between them once they are back home. Roman gives in to Allie’s request and they share an incredible week together. But will it really be over so soon?

So, am I shallow if I admit I read this book because of the cover? For real, I wanna be with this guy in that blue water. Now I could be in the beautiful blue water here on my island, but only it's winter so boo! Besides the eye-catching cover, I also read Make Me Crave because I'm a Katee Robert fan as a lot of you know. With this short book, I was expecting fun tropical smut and it delivered exactly that.

Allie Landers was one badass heroine. She was a plus-sized (which umm freaking finally!) and a woman who was completely comfortable in her body. It's about time that we get to see smart, beautiful and confident plus-sized heroines finding love in romance novels. Besides the confidence, Allie was also a generous and kind soul. She ran a women's shelter/gym to help women build their confidence as well as momentarily escape their memories. At the beginning of Make Me Crave, she was struggling financially, but Allie was extremely protective of her shelter and wouldn't easily sell it to investors even though she had quite a few lucrative offers. The shelter and the women were a huge part of her and she wouldn't easily give them up just for some profits. But she still needed to decide how she was going to deal with the financial downfall, which was why when her best friend suggested a tropical getaway, she agreed.


Unfortunately, or fortunately, for her, Roman Bassani follows her to the island. You see Roman has been trying to get a hold of Allie for ages as he has an investor who very much wants to buy Allie's shelter from her. On their first night on the island, Roman and Allie wound up having a steamy one-night stand, without knowing who they are. You can imagine Allie's anger and frustration when she discovers who Roman is. The chemistry between these two was FILTHY. They were great together in and outside of the bedroom. Though Allie was a little stubborn about not wanting to do anything with him on her vacation, rightfully so, she eventually gave in. Roman was a typical alpha-male hero, in my opinion. He didn't particularly stand out to me, but I didn't hate him. I did like how he constantly made Allie feel beautiful. So yes, there's lots of steamy shenanigans and the setting only amped up the heat. Of course, over the course of this tropical getaway, the two of them became attached to each other and a romance grew between. Make Me Crave was definitely more focused on the physical/steamy aspects of the relationship, so don't go in expecting many emotional scenes.

If you're looking for a quick smutty read, give this one a try. It was a whole lot of sexy fun! ;)

Roman can be quite ruthless when it comes to business and since Allie is determined to avoid him at her work place he thinks nothing of following her to a Caribbean island paradise where she’s taking a much-needed holiday. Allie has put her heart and soul into building a successful gym and using the profits to run a women’s shelter, she sees the two parts of her business working hand in hand and the last thing she wants is a large investor to come along who is more interested in profit than helping people. It’s been years since she last had a holiday so she’s determined to make the most of this break and it doesn’t take much for a hot stranger to talk her into a one-night stand. Unfortunately, the pair get more than they bargained for when they realise they’ve been sleeping with the enemy.

I love a good enemies to lovers story so Make Me Crave was right up my street, throw in a gorgeous paradise island as the location for much of the story and I was totally swept up in the holiday romance fantasy that Katee Robert was selling. Both of the main characters were very likeable, Allie was determined to help people and she wanted to do that by running her business the way she saw fit. Roman on the other hand new that the business was in trouble and wanted to get a big investor on board to help her.

I did think it was a bit silly of Allie to refuse to listen to Roman, she wouldn’t even let him explain his plan to her for such a long time because she was so worried that he would try to take over when in fact his investor liked what she was doing and just wanted to help her continue the good work. They could have resolved things much easier if Allie had just been adult enough to have a proper conversation with him about it. Having said that I did like her independent streak and I did think they made a good couple when she finally started admitting her feelings to herself. This has been an enjoyable series so far and I’m looking forward to the next book.

However, when they first meet they are unaware of the true identity of each other and the attraction between them is scorching hot! What happens when reality steps in, well you'll just have to read it yourself to find out!

What more could you want - a steamy romance set on a paradise island, a story packed with romantic encounters and a couple struggling with the dilemmas of associating mutual attraction and business conflicts. Both are fiercely independent but love makes them vulnerable. Can they find a way to work together for the good of her business and for the sake of both their hearts? What happens when they leave the resort and return to their work roles?

If you like your romance hot and passionate, check out this series - and others from Harlequin Dare - they definitely fit the genre! Add in a talented author and your on to a winner IMHO. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this relatively quick but entertaining read to anyone who enjoys their romances with a large helping of spicy action to flavour it.

Make Me Crave is the second book in Kate's Make Me series, which I would describe as short erotic romances. I did not read the first and still enjoyed this one.

This book read very quickly and what I would surmise as day beach read that will definitely leave you hot - so be by a pool. LOL

I won't go into details because of how short the book is - I would end up surmising the entire thing. What I will say is that this book will appeal to some and to others (like myself) will be just be ok. It's not that I did not enjoy the story, but I wanted more depth. So be prepared for a very fast paced book with what I would consider a "high level" plot line.

Katee is a magnificent writer and I love reading her other series and books. This is definitely a different side to her writing that many will enjoy for summer reading.

I really liked this one.
Roman is determined to make his deal. He needs to set up a meeting with Allie, he has an investor interested in buying out her gym and expanding, but Allie won’t even meet to talk about it, it’s a no go. She even escapes to a tropical island to hide from him, while the mounds of debts grow, slowly sinking her gym and it’s attached women’s shelter. But Allie needs her short break, she hasn’t had one for years and the gyms problems will have to wait until she returns.
Roman is very smart though, he soon discovers where she is and flies out, finding her on the island is a bit trickier. What he’s not expecting though is to meet a gorgeous woman, be instantly attracted, and want her desperately....she even turns out to be the very woman he’s been chasing.
This is a fast story but it has all the punch of big book. It was well written, great dialogue and smoking hot sex scenes. I loved it, I highly recommend this book!

Make me crave is the second book in the series by Katee Robert. I have to admit that I liked the part when they were on the island because I got the feeling of something temporary and I felt like I was at the resort with them. I was really digging that part and overall I have many warm feelings about it. I would have been fine if our couple hadn't ended up together. I felt for the first time, that our couple had a one week stand and nothing more. Maybe the part after the resort is the problem. Our characters were talking about trust when they had only been together for a week and before that the hero was chasing the heroine in order to get her business, even if it was for a good cause. I wasn't expecting them to trust the other after a week and I found it very weird in the end. I wanted a leap of faith from the heroine's part since she is the one who had to make the major decision. I understand why she was very hesitant to make that decision and I cannot fault her for that. My final rating is 4 stars since I liked most of the book.

Although short Make Me Crave packed a punch . It was hot, steamy, funny and highlighted a serious issue. I enjoyed this book quite a bit especially the heat between the main characters. It was palpable, practically leapt off the pages. I loved the chemistry between these two plus the bit of hate that was mixed in. If you're in the mood for a quick, steamy book I definitely recommend this.

This authors books always makes me feel good, I loved it.

* Good storyline with a nice progression
* The characters is described well and I get a feeling of knowing them well. Allie and Roman are both having fears and doubts caused by their childhood experiences. I love that they have flaws and insecurities like we all have on some level.
* No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and a lot of dialogues that takes the story the extra mile to make it excellent
* This is a short and easy story with a lot of steamy scenes but it still has a story build around it.

Immediately finishing Make Me Want , I jumped into Make Me Crave and it was the BEST decision ever. This series, thus far,the characters are strong, independent, and successful individuals. They're equally likable as they are easy to relate with.

I loved Roman and Allie! I love how confident Roman is, but also like how Allie calls him on his nonsense. They are a perfect match. I also love that Allie was a curvy and CONFIDENT woman. Katee Robert made sure that regardless of the woman size, she was sexy and comfortable in her skin. Most importantly, Roman loved her as she was.

Most of Make Me Crave takes place in a paradise island, so this was a perfect read summer read. It was hot and sexy, but light enough to make the time enjoyable.

Can't wait for the next couple in this series!

Vous le savez maintenant, si vous suivez mes chroniques, les livres issus de la collection Magnétic sont mes petits bonbons, de vraies sucreries au milieu de mes lectures dont je me délecte un peu en cachette, avec ce plaisir coupable d’aimer des histoires si prévisibles en surface. Son séduisant ennemi n’échappe pas à la règle, mais il n’en reste pas moins que j’ai passé un très bon moment en compagnie d’Allie et Roman.

J’ai ouvert ce roman le jour de Noël alors autant vous dire que je ne voulais aucune prise de tête après l’ouverture des cadeaux de la tribu et les repas plus copieux que prévu. J’ai déniché la romance parfaite entre un comptable haut de gamme un poil arrogant déterminé à aller au bout de ses projets et une jeune cheffe d’entreprise qui porte à bout de bras son concept, submergée par le poids de ses responsabilités. Je sais, dit comme ça, vous vous dites tout de suite que l’on devine aisément la suite des événements et ce n’est pas à moi de vous contredire. Toutefois, je trouve que Katee Robert plante merveilleusement bien le décor et à cette écriture fluide qui nous emporte avec facilité. C’est donc un chocolat chaud à la main, blotti dans mon canapé que j’ai suivi les aventures de ces deux personnages somme toute plus intéressants qu’il n’y paraît.

J’ai beaucoup aimé le concept de Trancend, l’entreprise d’Allie, même si j’avoue avoir du mal à envisager ce genre de chose en France, l’idée est très sympathique et mérite que l’on s’y attarde. Cependant, le projet n’est pas au centre de ce récit et on saute bien rapidement à l’étape alchimie de dingue additionné de désir insatiable sur un lieu de vacances de rêves.

Et alors là, on ne peut absolument pas occulter la passion qui émane de ses pages et l’insatiabilité de notre duo qui fait monter la température de plusieurs degrés. Le moindre effleurement les enflamme, le moindre regard les consume. Bref, nous sommes sur du lourd côté sensuel et torride à souhait ! Heureusement tout ne s’arrête pas là et comme bien souvent les sentiments s’épanouissent et compliquent la tâche de ces deux jeunes gens dont l’alchimie explose au lit, mais qui se retrouvent ennemis dans la vie.

Toutes les relations n’étant pas parfaite, j’ai été agréablement surprise de voir apparaître des personnalités plus complexes qu’il n’y paraît et qui m’ont permis de m’attacher d’autant plus à Allie et Roman. En effet, leurs passés sont loin d’être des sinécures et plus la lecture avance, plus on se rend compte de leurs points communs et de leur envie de progresser sans baisser les bras.

Son séduisant ennemi se lit avec une facilité déconcertante et apporte exactement ce que l’ont en attend : des décors de rêves, une idylle enflammée, de l’amour, encore de l’amour, toujours de l’amour….. Et franchement pour ce petit prix, ce serait bien dommage de passer à côté.

J’ai failli prendre un coup de soleil au mois de février !
Il y a une chose qui me chagrine et qui fait que je n’ai pas réussi à m’attacher réellement à Allie. Sur certaines choses elle semble assez mature, par contre elle a trop souvent des réactions que j’ai trouvée puériles, du coup je me suis retrouvée à l’aimer par moment et à lever les yeux au ciel à d’autres.
Comme les précédents livres parus dans la collection Magnetic, on sait que cela se finira bien, c’est un peu comme ceux de la collection Azur. Pourtant, j’aime cette collection pour ses livres justement sans trop de prises de tête. Celui-ci ne fait pas exception, hormis mon soucis avec Allie, je n’ai rien d’autre de « négatif » en fin de lecture. J’ai failli me choper un coup de soleil, mais tout va bien j’avais de l’écran total sous la main ^_^
Roman, au départ, je l’ai détesté comme jamais, mais il a su montrer une autre facette que cet homme d’affaire arrogant et à l’apparence sans cœur qu’il a au début de cette aventure. Cela ne c’est pas fait d’une page à l’autre, ni d’un chapitre à l’autre, c’est vraiment progressif, et j’ai adoré son personnage finalement.
Le concept de Transcend, est bien trouvé, bien que pas assez approfondi à mon goût, j’ai trouvé qu’il était survolé alors que le sujet des femmes battues mérite d’être mis plus en avant. Ici, oui forcément, on en parle, mais il reste en arrière-plan.
Par contre, au niveau chaleur, nous sommes servi, et pas que de celle naturelle du soleil des Caraïbes ! Allie et Roman ont un taux de sexytude assez élevé, et dès qu’il s’agit de plaisir et désir, ils n’y vont pas avec le dos de la cuillère ces deux-là ! C’est d’ailleurs grâce à ce désir qu’ils éprouvent l’un pour l’autre que les choses vont changer et évoluer, donc oui il y a pas mal de parties de jambes en l’air, mais quelque part on peut dire qu’elle servent l’histoire et son avancée.
C’est finalement une histoire dont le sujet de base aurait pu être plus approfondi, mais qui a le mérite de parler d’un sujet assez grave, tout en étant pas prise de tête.

Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book in Katee Robet's Make me series I jumped at the chance to read this 2nd novel following the romance of Gideon's friend Roman- I seriously had to giggle at the synopsis on the back which claims the hero and heroine have an accidental one night stand - ummm not quite sure how a one night stand can be accidental but anyway....

So Allie runs a women's gym which is attached to a non-profit women's shelter - the business is failing and investors are circling like sharks - one in particular, our hero Roman is being particularly persistent - so much so that he follows her on holiday to a tropical island paradise. the pair fall into instant lust but of course are enemies once they return home.

Again I was quite impressed with this one. I loved Allie - she's really strong, independent and competent as well as sexually assertive. She knows exactly what she wants. I also liked Roman, he's her perfect match in every way as well as being seriously hot.

The romance is based on lust true, but you do get a sense of deeper feelings and I was delighted to see that this one didn't end with a marriage proposal - because with the time frame involved that would have been way too rushed. I also liked the fact that Allie didn't just turn to Roman to bail her out, she turned down his offer and really tried hard to fix things herself.

Ok the ending is a little anti-dramatic and both had to turn to the advice of friends to stop them being monumentally stupid - however on the whole I have to give this one a big thumbs up - Really solid characters and a good story - plus a to die for tropical setting - perfect holiday read. I look forward to more from Katee Roberts in the future.

Roman Bassani finds investors for companies that need help. His current client is wanting to buy Allie Landers gym and women's shelter. The only problem for Roman is that Allie will not consider his offers. Allie has been ghosting him since day one and now that Roman so desperate he will do anything to close this deal. Even crashing her Caribbean vacation on a private island. On the first night there Roman meets the woman of his dreams and takes her back to his villa. Unbeknownst to Roman the woman he has fallen hard for is none other than Allie Landers. Just like with any Katee Robert books Make Me Crave will not disappoint the reader. Katee Robert's is one of the queens of spice. I received this arc of the remastered Make Me Want and Make Me Crave, now called Forbidden Games, in exchange for an honest review. A big thanks to Harlequin Romance, NetGalley and Katee Robert's herself.

This spicy, short romance had:
- Anonymous Sex / One night stand
- Forced Proximity
- Enemies with Benefits
- kind of Grumpy / Sunshine
- a lot of spice

Unfortunately I did not like Make Me Crave as much as Make Me Want. I didn’t feel as much chemistry from the two characters, even though I liked their individual backstories more. It felt a bit too insta-love, and it’s just hard to believe they went from anonymous sex to I love you in a week. Spicy though - so good when you’re in the mood!
