From K.A. Berg and T.E. Black comes a story of the forbidden desire—a story so delicious you'll need more than One Taste.

Sebastian –

I live a good life. I'm successful, the CEO of the advertising firm my father built from the ground up. I've been deemed a god in the sheets by the female population of New York City and have the equipment to match. Life is great.

Until my social life messes with my professional life. I've become a frequent flyer on the gossip pages—a detriment to business. Just as my perfect life is starting to crash down around me, I meet her.

All I wanted was a taste, but I got much more than I bargained for.

Devin –

Seven years is a long time, but it’s good to be home.

I’ve missed this place and the people in it. I’m living with my best friend, I landed a great job as an Interim CEO which will look great on my resume, and I hooked up with a hot guy I met at a bar.

Life couldn’t get much better.

That is until I report to my first day at my new job and standing behind the desk waiting for me is the man I spent a sex-crazed night with.

He devours me with his eyes letting me know things between us aren’t over. Except, he doesn’t get to make that decision; I do. But, I no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to stop this disaster from happening.

This is book one of three in this series.

Sebastian is a major tool

And not in a hot way. He keeps bragging about his "nine-inch cock," actually mentioning the inches, and how it's a cock that's "made for porn." Not even just to himself, but out loud-to other people! That's not being charmingly arrogant or cocky, that's being a douche. In my experience, anybody with a big dick worth fucking doesn't need to brag about it that much. The 'big dick energy' that people refer to is in a man's air, his demeanor, his confidence. It's not incessantly referencing about your big dick in inches. That's just cheesy.

Our heroine Devin is just as bad though. She definitely drank Sebastian's big dick kool-aid, because when he casually puts it out there that he's got a cock made for porn just a couple sentences into their conversation, because he's all class, she gets actual heart eyes. Seriously, the way she and her friend Brielle talk about it, you'd think they've only ever been with micropenises before or something. His seems to be the only above average-sized dick they've seen or heard in the wild, because they act like he's a goddamn unicorn.

Between Sebastian, Devin and Brielle, they reference the dude's dick being nine-inches 14 times in this book. So not only is it stupid, it's repetitive as all get out. The whole thing got really stale really fast, and I had a bunch of book left.

Devin is more nervous to start this new job than for any other job before. She's in a panic about it all week! Is it because she's taking on more responsibility and power than ever before? Or, perhaps, that she's making a huge jump up the corporate ladder that she's been working so hard to climb? Nope! It's because she hears that the current CEO is really hot. How is she going to survive working around a super hot person??

Are you fucking kidding me right now? Devin is supposed to be this ambitious, sophisticated, talented businesswoman, and she hasn't figured out how to work around someone who's attractive? She's 28! She's about to be an interim CEO!! She's a capable, career-driven, corporate woman, not a melodramatic high-school girl.

And then, when she discovers that the hot CEO that she'll be working with is none other than her one night stand from a week before, it's the end of the fucking world. How can she be expected to do her job when there's(gasp!) a nine-inch dick in close proximity??

"I know what he’s packing under his Tom Ford suit pants, and he knows what it feels like to be inside me. How the hell can we act normal around each other, Brielle?”

Devin, get your shit together. I'm sure the sexual tension is maddening, and no doubt his porn star penis is calling to you like a magnet, but if you care about your work, it's time to exercise a basic level of self-restraint and professionalism, two things you should really have down by now. Your pussy doesn't always get what it wants.

I would talk about some of the characters other qualities, but they aren't any better. None of these people are appealing to me at all. Everybody is pretty one note.

EXCEPTION: I love that Sebastian is such a big fan of the history museum. That's a great detail.

Also, can I just say that Brielle should get run over by a bus at some point?

Let’s not beat around the bush, shall we? If you’re looking for a man to blow your tonsils out, then look no further than Sebastian Brooks! *snorts* Whaaa? Just keeping it real.

The CEO of Midtown Advertising is supremely confident in his skills between the sheets, and a horde (too much?) of thoroughly satisfied women can attest to this fact *smirks* Satisfaction guaranteed - as they say...

Only Little (or not so little - if know what I mean? *winks*) Sebby has got Big Sebby into a bit of a bind with the Powers That Be. His extracurricular activities are having an adverse effect on the company’s image and possible future business prospects with him gracing the gossip column pages every other day. So, Brooks is being brought to heel and having to curtail his rakish ways.

Easier said than done, because even with the best of intentions Brooks just can’t help himself. This time though it’s all about perspective - some may view it as his worst yet, and some may think it’ll be fun to watch him fall on his hiney (I’m being polite, don’t you know!).

Intrigued yet? *snorts*

I’m undecided about whether or not I like Brooks. It’s fair to say he is arrogant with a capital A. Yet, his one redeeming feature at the moment (excuse me, I’m not talking about that appendage - thank you very much!) is his love for his family. Especially for his twin sister, Madison.

Yes, it’s was a bit predictable - as in I knew what was going to happen. It couldn’t have ended any other way *shrugs* I still enjoyed the unfolding drama nonetheless.

Righty-ho, I’m off in search of those missing brain cells which short-circuited earlier. Honestly, my 40-year-old hormones can’t handle this. I just know I’m going to need them later - now where are they...? *taps chins*

Short, dirty and too the point. Sebastian is in trouble for being the ultimate playboy. I love short stories like this that pack as much heat and story as most full length novels.

Crap it ends on a cliff hanger!! Crap it Crap Crap! It ends on a cliffhanger!
This might be the hottest instant chemistry that I have read in a long time. Instant chemistry is one of my favorite tropes and add in the office setting and I am all in!!
We are in for a long road with playboy Sebastian Brooks and his less than stellar reputation. But I love it. He is hot and determined. He knows what he wants. He has been preparing his whole life to take over his families advertising business. His playboy antics have never been an issue in the past, but all the sudden his picture is showing up everywhere. Under pressure from his sister and Father Sebastian steps back from his leadership role and allows the family to hire an interim CEO.

Devin has been working her for the last 7 years to move up the corporate ladder. Her reputation and success mean everything to her. Finally, she has a job opportunity that is bring her to NYC, which is home, after being gone for 7 years. Her best friend encourages her to let her hair down for one night and be wild before she starts her next job and becomes consumed with it. A random hook up in a hotel bar leads to one of the best nights of her life. She can not get “Brooks” out her head.
When Sebastian and Devin come face to face at Midtown Advertising sparks fly!
These two are absolutely the worst communicators in the history of couples! There would be a whole heck of a lot more steam if these two would talk to each other instead of just, well you know what they are doing, and it is STEAMY!

Sebastian and Devin are characters that grow on you. They are not instantly likable. You need to spend some time with them as they get out of their heads and into each other’s pants.

This was a 4/5 read for me. I am diving into book 2 of the Trilogy! I am pretty sure I am going to need a drink to make it through, but in a good way!

One Taste was a super sexy story, with a side of twists that has me dying for more already. It's the beginning story of the bad boy, Sabastian Brooks, who is such a huge playboy, that his twin sister decides they need to have a temporary CEO of the advertising firm that their dad built, while he fixes his image. And that's all that I really need to describe about this short story, full of sexy fun. See, he just can't stay out of trouble, which is kind of hilarious on one hand, but on the other, I wanted to shake him while telling him to straighten up. Luckily, as everything is blowing up in his world, he meets a woman who is his match, and definitely has stopped him in his scandalous tracks. Obviously, that means there are super sexy times that lit the sheets on fire, while there are a few twists, with the giant one for the finale/cliffy at the end which had me dropping f-bombs right & left. I have so many questions, but since this is the start to a new series, I'll just hang here waiting until they're all answered. And finally, these two authors meshed perfectly together, so I'm excited/dying for more as they have me 100% addicted! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

~ He may well have met his match! ~

Sebastian Brooks had been running his father’s company since his retirement, but a major heart attack a mere three months ago has both he, his twin sister Madison and their mother on pins and needles to keep him free of stress. But when his sister frankly informs Sebastian that their business, Midtown Advertising, is loosing clients due to negative press attention after being constantly caught being wild with different women by the tabloids, even if it IS after work hours, he resolves to curb his ways until the attention dies down. When he finds himself caught once again in a possibly compromising situation, Madison steps in and hires someone to act as interim CEO until his image and that of their company improves...A concept he was nearly on board with, until who shows up at his office but Sebastian’s most recent, uniquely memorable and hot encounter in the form of Devin, the temptress he actually wanted more with.

A great start to a sexy new series, which I look forward to continuing. I expect the undeniable chemistry will explode when Devin and Sebastian have to work together and that their journey will be interesting and rocky!

I didn’t read it, that’s why I gave it 2 instead of 1 star

Chapter 1 ~ girl comes home after getting her masters and being wildly successful on the east west coast. She comes home to her childhood best friend, who she’s going to live with and goes out to party that night.

Chapter 2 ~ spoiled playboy is being reprimanded by his sister for being in all the tabloids drunk &/or high. Always with a different girl doing all sorts of things. He’s just been named CEO of his family’s company after his father had a heart attack.

I prefer my book at least have one responsible party who makes the other (if they are not already) better. To me this book is one loser and another loser.
It could be good but I won’t read it. I stopped reading book with the hope that they’d get better. They rarely ever do. If I had read more I’d probably give it one star.

Loved this book!!!

What happens when you get your mind blown from a one night stand, only for her to leave you before you wake. The you cant forget her, but she turns up... as the bitch who's taken your job for 6 months.

Sebastian Brooks, the playboy CEO keeps getting himself into situations and has put the company at risk with his antics. Cue his interim replacement, Devin Miller who happens to be awesome at her job, and Sebastians one night stand...You then want her sooo much that you try everything to make her cave to your advances because One taste was never enough.

The steam, angst and sexual chemistry in this book is off the charts and that cliffhanger... WTF!!!!

It’s a small book and a fast read.

It’s a part 1 of a 3 part series based off the same leading people. It feels like I doesn’t need to be a series, it feels more like it could have ended in another 100 pages. I honestly, wouldn’t read more but I bought the series. There isn’t a “real” cliff hanger, the writing isn’t that bad, but the dialogue…. I keep forgetting who’s talking. And the male lead isn’t alpha even though it’s trying to be insinuated that he his. There are also moments that make no sense and some cheesy lines “Her curves remind me of a back road in the country, winding and unpredictable”. The spice bits were okay, direct and straight to the point.

Talk about naughty playboys, One Taste gives the reader one of the naughtiest.  Sabastian Brooks IS brought to life by K.A. Berg.  He’s a dirty talking guy that likes to deliver.   This book is funny in the sense that the main character just can’t stay out of trouble even when he’s trying to be good, which isn’t very often.  One Taste is the first of six books in the One series and is a very quick read (maybe an hour and half to two hours).  It was fast paced and dirty and fun and was just oh so good.  I think K.A. Berg has a hit story line with this book.  One Taste is worth 5 stars.

Sebastian Brooks is CEO of a top-notch advertising agency, he’s young, handsome and rich and he’s the ultimate playboy.  Ever since hitting NYC’s most eligible bachelor list he has been followed and photographed in some very compromising situations.  Needless to say, it is affecting business.  Being lectured by his twin sister he is being given help to run the company for a while to clean up his image.  Sebastian of course doesn’t think he needs to stop his partying, at least till he meets a woman that just might be his equal in every way.  Now Sebastian must decide what’s more important his alone time with a goddess or his company.

This is the first part of Devin and Sebastian's story. It starts out pretty predictable in regards to one-night stand between strangers and then they end up running into each other again at the office. That being said, even with the predictability I still was all in. I am not sure if it was the cockiness, both literally and figuratively, of Sebastian or the mystery of who is behind the reasons that Devin is needed to be there to fix things up. All I know is that the steamy times between these two is HOT HOT HOT. I will definitely be reading the next book.

Short, dirty and too the point. Sebastian is in trouble for eing the ultimate playboy. His dad and his sister are fed up after his last incident. He goes out on Friday almost messes up runs away ends up at a hotel and has a one night stand. Devin is something else and gives him a run for his money and the twist at the end.

One Taste ( The “ One” series boom 1)

I loved this book. You could feel the “Shock” both Sebastian and Devin felt on her first day - it practically dived off the page and smacked you in the mouth- I loved the sexual twoing and froing that went on during their work hours. I am really looking forward to their next round of sparring in Book 2. Excellent read.

One taste is never enough

Boy, isn't that the truth!

One Taste is a tease, a way to entice the reader. It gives us just enough to beg for more. It's erotic, it's sexy but not at the expense of the story.

I know I won't regret continuing this series. I just regret not having read it sooner.

Torn

I enjoyed the book as for a hot steamy quick read but honestly I’m still having a hard time deciding if I even like these characters. Devin was okay but Brooks is just too much of a cocky narcissistic jerk. There were a few moments where I would start to like him and then he would say something to ruin it again. Not sure if I want to keep reading the series.

DNF'd it at 10% -

Within minutes I figured out this book wasn't worth my time. I'm guessing it was because of some scene in the first few chapters, but it also could have been the lack of attention grabbing it had to begin with.

very short book and ends on a cliffhanger. I don't think I was expecting that, so I was disappointed. I didn't much care for either character either, I didn't connect with them, nothing against the writing, they both just seemed very selfish and only cared about themselves.
