“Inner Bonding has been a staple in my own personal journey home to wholeness.”
—Alanis Morissette, artist, activist, and teacher Take responsibility for every aspect of your life, love yourself unconditionally, and connect to your own divine guidance using the life-changing six-step process outlined in this breakthrough guide, from the best-selling author and cocreator of the Inner Bonding® self-healing process. Many of us long for spiritual connection and divine guidance—the wisdom and ability to make decisions that benefit ourselves and the greater good. But we’ve been conditioned to think and act selfishly, in ways that limit our access to the divine, with false, programmed beliefs that often result in suffering, addictive behaviors, and spiritual disconnection. The Inner Bonding Workbook can help you heal your psychic wounds and move beyond false limitations to achieve at-will, moment-by-moment connection with the divine. You’ll learn to move past the junk thoughts and junk food that can create a toxic environment, and that keep you mired in low-frequency feelings like anxiety, depression, guilt, and shame. You’ll discover how to attain the self-love and accountability necessary for spiritual connection and guidance. And, most importantly, you’ll learn how to take responsibility for every aspect of your life—physical, emotional, financial, relational, organizational, and spiritual. With this life-changing six-step process, you’ll learn to tap into a higher source of love and truth at any moment in order to make your best decisions, realize a deep sense of freedom and personal power, and manifest your highest, most passionate purpose in life.

This book is simply written but very deep. I don't think I was quite ready for some of this and will have to re-visit when I'm in a different place in my life. This book is easy to read, but will make you stop and think, and re-read. It will challenge you and provide you with tools toward a better self. I'm glad I read this, I know I can return at a later time and get even more out of it than I did the first time through.

The Inner Bonding Workbook isn't a work book in a traditional since. It is written in self help style; you will need your own journal for reflection.
I really enjoyed seeing real examples and exercises to allow the reader to actually work on their bonding experience. I found the exercise in depth, really and helpful.
While there are several things in the book I personally disagree with, it does not stop me from reading the material, taking in what can be helpful for me and make movements to change.

I received an ARC through NetGalley; all opinions are my own.

Filled with a lot of anecdotes, and personal experiences, this book feels more like a general self-help book, but not a workbook, and not in a style that I would enjoy. I prefer a more straight forward approach in non-fiction, and I did not get that here. That does not mean, that it might not work for someone else, but it surely did not resonate with me at all.

Offers a practical process for getting in touch with our feelings, taking responsibility for them, and learning to heal the inner child and wounded self to bring more peace and joy in our lives. I found it effective and was able to complete the exercises with ease.

4 stars! Beautiful and wise. This book is best suited for people who have heard of the Inner Bonding principle (on a podcast or talk given by Margaret Paul) before and know roughly what they are getting themselves into. It is not beginner-friendly. Instead, it is a guide for connecting with your divine guidance after you have already established an inner loving adult who is READY to take care of your wounded self and inner child.

I deducted one star because some parts of the book do not sit right with me, such as the statement that “junk food and junk thoughts keep your frequency too low to connect” with your higher self. In that scenario, connection with the higher self would be most needed, but it’s impossible (?). Also, it didn’t seem right to look at the six areas of life (physical, spiritual, financial, etc.) and get a sense of having to perform PERFECTLY in all of them to fulfil ALL of the needs and guidance of the inner child, wounded self, inner adult and spirit. The underlying idea of taking sole “responsibility” for your feelings and all of the areas of your life sounds like a dangerous trap for perfectionism, overwhelm and self-blame.

All in all, the workbook poses a lot of deep questions and offers advice on loving your inner child, which is very valuable and insightful. Therefore, I’m giving it 4 stars.

I bought this book on Amazon in May 2021.
The book was published in 2019.
The book contains six chapters and 192 pages.
I only could to a chapter a day as there as a lot of text to write.
The author speaks about your inner child (some call it your shadow), your wounded self (your negative emotions), your Divine Guidance (some call it intuition), your Loving adult (You with understanding yourself).
The sentences and logic flow from one chapter to the last were very well written. The author holds a PhD in Psychology.
Everything what I read in this book and all exercise I did, were nothing new to me.
IT was rather quite annoying going through the book.
It recalled me of David D. Burns Workbooks.
I think the generation advances a lot in how to work with the brain, your emotions, inner child, and online there are a lot of new actions to be taken.
An alert on this book: I do not agree on a lot of what Author says: sometimes toxic people come to your life, even though you did not want them to be part of your life. You cannot be loving Adult to them and give them love.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I got this so I could help myself with my own way of thinking. I like that there are places to write and answering questions. It helped me organize my journal and my mind. I always use books like this for a couple of months before I give a review. This gives me time to see if anything works for me. I don't think just reading it is fair. I have to test a few things first and some of it did and it makes me feel better about the path I am taking.

Listened to the audiobook and it was read in a heart-felt compassionate tone. The 6 key steps in a nutshell are:
1. own your feelings
2. intend to learn
3. know your inner child and wounded self
4. seek divine guidance (within)
5.take loving action
6. evaluate your actions
I appreciated how this book dove deeper into each one, with meditations and journal prompts that actually felt in alignment with books that do not call themselves workbooks.

Good book that will help you alot. I really enjoyed this book. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the arc of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving this book in this manner had no bearing on this review.
