The Nomad series continues with Billy Gamble in Germany helping former CIA recruiter Culper search for the missing Thunder, the Army’s latest drone developed by the wonks at DARPA. Ironically, Billy’s older brother, Staff Sergeant Lowell Gamble, another Wyoming cowboy, is Thunder’s highly trained operator. Is Lowell involved in the heist of Thunder? If you like Jack Reacher or Jason Bourne, “Stealing Thunder” is an unapologetic action thriller that will keep you glued until the last page.

My Review
I really liked this book because of my military experience. I was in the army engineers and was familiar with the explosives they used. I also appreciated the military operation of the rogue soldiers as it coincides with my experience. The end of this story was not what I expected but it did end appropriately.

Helluva story!
The ongoing drama never stops. I like how the author uses military terms and incorporates new technology into a storyline that brings our old military into the future with drone technology and actual, living-breathing humans on the frontlines battling it out. Sweet!

Engaging story
I liked the story, but not nearly as well as the first two. It almost felt as though it was written in a rush, and the typos got to be quite distracting. I'm glad it wasn't as startlingly sad as the first two.
