I can see that many poems are strong. There is a restless energy also in the stone gardens.... I want to see this book printed. I am convinced the interesting and good stuff dominates. I think you can contribute to the awareness of stones and ice in a new way. (I am very fond of your "Black Ice".) Your photographs were wonderful.
Tom Jones is an honors graduate of Harvard University (B.A. 1965), Columbia University School of Law (J.D. 1968), and George Mason University (M.F.A. 1992), with undergraduate language and literature studies at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, the University of Madrid, and the Goethe Institute. He has published nine books of poetry and has had hundred of his poems featured in such literary magazines and anthologies as The Nation, The New Republic, and The Yale Review.
Jones also worked for many years as an international human rights lawyer and has taught in India and the Navajo Nation. He received the Distinguished Educator Award from the Flinn Foundation in 2000, and he was one of ten finalists for the Arizona Teacher of the Year Award (2003).
