Nicholas Colt also appears in several other short stories, including the one titled RACKED.The Reacher Files standalone CHOKE HOSTAGE THE GIRL FROM THE WRONG SIDE OF CORDIAL While the name Jack Reacher and some of the supporting characters and story situations are used with author Lee Child’s permission, the Jack Reacher character remains offstage in The Jack Reacher Files thrillers and The Jack Reacher Experiment thrillers. Praise for Jude Hardin’s POCKET-47 sucked me in and held me enthralled. Author Jude Hardin keeps the pace frantic, the thrills non-stop, but best of all is his hero, the wonderfully ironic Nicholas Colt. This is a character I'm eager to follow through many adventures to come. —Tess Gerritsen, New York Times bestselling author of DIE A RIZZOLI & ISLES NOVEL The best PI debut I've read in years, fit to share shelf space with the best of Ross Macdonald, Sue Grafton, and Robert B. Parker. POCKET-47 is so hot you may burn your hands reading. Highly recommended. —J.A. Konrath, author of the Jack Daniels mysteries Hardin gets everything right in his powerhouse thriller debut, which introduces rock star–turned–PI Nicholas Colt. —Publishers Weekly on POCKET-47 KEY DEATH is an exhilarating thriller that punches way above its weight. It hits you hard and fast with crackling suspense, hair-raising twists and stunning revelations. Word of don't start on this one unless you're prepared to stay up all night. —John Ling, author of THE BLASPHEMER Colt is a physical, no-holds-barred PI, reminiscent of Robert B. Parker's Spenser and Lee Child's Jack Reacher, and his debut is action-packed. With a hefty toll of dead bodies, some described in cringe-inducing detail, this is crime fiction at its rawest. Hard-boiled connoisseurs should make Colt's acquaintance now.
Great ending to this 7 mini- book series. Good guy escapes and bad guys don't. This series was written in the "Lee Child" style that is both interesting and fast paced. Loved it and recommend it highly.
This is it! After six books, Rock is finally in a position to go head-to-head with the people who have been trying to murder him to cover up the cloning experiment that resulted in him. The odds against him are tremendously long, but that wouldn’t have stopped Jack Reacher and it sure won’t stop his clone, Rock Wahlman. This is the novel that wraps up the whole Reacher Experiment storyline, which begs the question, what is Jude Hardin going to write about in the last two books? I guess I’ll have to read them to find out.
The final, as the title suggests, book in the series, Finds Rock getting the information he needs but being trapped and prepared to die. This is a nice action series to hold you over until the next Reacher book comes out.Check it out.
As the title suggests, End Game seemingly wraps up this particular thread of story, but I suspect that, with a few more novels to go, that might not be the case. I have to say, after reading seven of these little novels, the overwhelming raison d'etre for the nefarious criminal elements is to kill Rock Wahlman. Kill him dead, shot on sight, removed from life at any and all costs. Millions of dollars paid to assassins and bounty hunters to end Rock's life. And yet...once they capture him, they tie him down and devise a bizarre scheme to have him killed when the building he's in is imploded. like...WHAT? The bad guys seem more intent on making his last hours on earth to be the worst, drawing it out until...well, spoiler alert, until he manages to escape their clutches. Not really much of a spoiler as book eight and nine quickly follow.
It appears that Rock Wahlman's lucky streak is still on a roll. For a short time longer. He was captured after infiltrating the military research center dressed as an admiral. Now, it appears that his end is near. The building or rather the entire facility is rigged to explode. He is restrained on a table in the basement. They were nice enough to set up a digital timer in front of him. The minutes are slowly counting down. then someone is calling his name. It must be an illusion. A dream. It isn't. Another excellent read in this series!!!
Jack Reacher Experiment # 7 Rock Walman is a Jack Reacher clone, part of a US Army experiment using cells from 100 years ago (1983) (Jack Reacher's cells) The other clone has been killed by someone in the Army trying to erase all records and evidence of the experiment. Rock Walman finds out why the records are being ereased/ This is set in the future, not quite dystopian, but definitely a throwback (no cell phones, teleportation has been banned)
But it was too short I really wanted it to keep going. The futuristic slant gave me an eerie feeling to think that even the operation would be possible.
Good (side / spin-off) Series. I was pleased with the ending! I will now move on to Book #8. Curious what direction this go now that there is a bit of a resolution.
'End Game' was a good addition to start the ending of this series. Quite a few twists, a lot of action, great characters and some iffy scenarios. Overall- a good read.
A whopper of a story where Kasey saves the day., who would’ve believed it. Rock Wahlman’s story got out to the media after all that has happened, amazing. 5
