Excellent book for adult Welsh learners (Advanced). Humorous tale of life in a country village in Wales - from the point of view of a Saesnes. (‘Pwy yw Owain Glyndŵr? Ydy e’n chwarae rygbi dros Gymru?’)

Another enjoyable instalment of the Amdani series. I found this one easy to read and entertaining to boot. The only thing I found a little confusing was when they were actually speaking English but written in Welsh, interspersed with then English dialogue but I don’t suppose that really matters!

The plot itself was enjoyable, with our main MC moving to Wales and learning to speak the language. I got rather invested into the story so found it no hardship to keep reading. Can’t wait for the next one in Lefel Uwch.

Nice little story for Welsh learners about an English career woman who marries a Welshman, moves to Wales and tries to learn the language, at the same time as muddling along in a small town and new in-laws.
Not really my kind of story (verging on Chick Lit) - I was reading for the language but pleasant enough.

Stori ddigon gyffrous am Saesnes sy'n briodi â Chymro a symud gyda fe I Gymru ar ôl ei nabod e am fis. Hawdd i ddarllen a llawer o eirfa defnyddiol wedi'u cyfieithu. Llawer o ymadroddion hefyd a jôcs mae'n rhaid i wybod digon o Gymraeg i ddeall.

Llyfr rhagorol!
Fy ffefryn yn y gyfres Amdani hyd yn hyn. O’r clawr, roeddwn i’n meddwl y byddai hwn yn nofel ysgafn ddi-feddwl, ond roeddwn i mor anghywir. Mae’r stori hon yn llawn calon ac enaid a chariad at dir hardd Cymru.

Okay I suppose but I didn’t enjoy it tbh. I did learn some new words and consolidated some of my previous learning and that’s the important thing

Entertaining

Entertaining but I read it on Kindle and it's only there as a pdf so frustrating that I couldn't use the Kindle dictionary.

(English below) Nofel perffaith ar gyfer dysgwyr. Mae'r stori yn lot o hwyl ac darllen e yn her heb bod yn rhy anodd.

A perfect novel for learners of Welsh. The story is lots of fun and reading it was a challenge without being too difficult.
