When he finds her in the midst of an alien war, Luke takes Willow for himself. He can't help himself. He's never taken a prisoner alive before, but Willow is different. He needs her. He wants her. Most of all, he craves her.

Willow is a human who has the worst luck in the world. When the tour ship she's on malfunctions and crash-lands on the wrong planet, she's thrust into the middle of a war: one she has no desire to be in.

Then everything changes.

She's captured by an alien beast unlike anything she's ever seen before.

And the worst part is that after awhile, she's not so sure she wants him to let her go.

I bought the book by mistake while browsing Amazon with my tablet. I didn't think my mistake would involve something bigger than 4 bucks :/

Let me first warn the other readers that this isn't a novel, it's barely a novella, 20+ chapters notwithstanding.
But this isn't the bigger problem. .. Unfortunately.

This is one of those books that really should have remained in a trunk. I haven't read this author before, nor I plan to. This is wishful thinking, not talented writing.
There are gross problems in characterization (none), world building (none), timing (wrong), you name it, there wasn't a single aspect that wasn't completely off.

I hadn't read one of those "I wish you hadn't tried at my expenses" book in a while. This isn't lack of polishing, this is someone who really needs to go back to school for basics 101 on how to write.

I *am* sorry these words are harsh, but this is also a book that it's sold at Amazon for 4 dollars. This is not a free story on a fan fic site. You expect at least something.
What you get is someone's personal fantasy. Pretty stupid unless it's yours. (And I think the same of my fantasies.)

Always a target

Another wonderful addition to this author’s library! I enjoyed how these lonely lives were enriched when they found each other. They both were in need of rescuing, although trouble seems to find her more than him. Of course, this author always has those supporting characters that I just can’t help falling in love with and hoping they get their own story. The author kept the story moving with plenty of action, danger and intrigue and I can’t wait to see what she writes about next.

I don't know why this book didn't work for me. It have everything i liked: super hot, sexy alien H, virgin h, rescued-love story type,... Everything was perfect, until that one little part ruins everything. From that point on my mood just drop straight down to the bottom, can't recover from that... Didn't finish this book, but it's a HEA anyways.
Sorry for my bad English.

Hot Summer Read

Great read by the pool while on holiday! The hero and heroine were great together although Luke does see her through rose coloured glass. I don't know what's so brave about her especially when her twin is so much more badass and interesting. I hope her book comes out soon.

Sexy Beast

Willow never knowing what the touch and love of a man is finds it all in Luke. A man no a beast with a passion for falling for the good girl.

Loved This.

An exciting adventure and emotional for Willow. You feel for her at the get go and then her world collapses as the cruise ship crashes. That is where we meet Luke. All rough around the edges and suddenly thrust into a rescue mission, looking for crash survivors. When he finds Willow, she is a little worse for wear but he saves her and makes sure she gets the help needed. Luke saves her a 2nd time from a nasty guy who knows Willow is aware of his murder of a friend. Needless to say his demise is what he intended for Willow. Luke takes them off planet and continues to care for her, growing together. There is yet one more hiccup, due to miscommunication and another more nasty attempt on Willow's life. That is when we meet Wilma, her sassy twin! Let's just say I see her and Les building their relationship in the next book. But again, Luke saves Willow and the 4 are free to head off. Willow and Luke can now enjoy their HEA.

This was a rather fun book to read. Willow has lead a rather sheltered life but not because her parents adored her but because she was useful, a means to an end. Having ceased to be useful she is pretty much discarded so she takes a trip to see the worlds before relegating herself to a life of nothing. The ship she is on crashes and from there things get a bit complicated. Luke is not a saint, just a soldier doing a job that he is tired of. He just wants to go somewhere quiet but that plan is put on hold when he is pretty much blackmailed into helping search for survivors when a ship crashes nearby. He finds and rescues Willow at which point his life suddenly no longer seems to belong to him alone. When bad thing seem to keep happening to Willow can he keep saving her or should he send her back home where she would be ok? There is more going on than meets the eye!

Beauty really is in the eyes of the beholder. Lukanterao considers himself a beast because of his size and the things he has done during his life. Willow is a sheltered young woman who is escaping on a luxury cruise on ship 449302. In the normal course of their lives they never would have met. But when the cruise ship is damaged and crash lands on the dark planet that Lukanterao has been fighting a war life is any thing but normal. The two cling to each other, their inner selves recognizing their other half. There is love, intrigue and some drama. The story is a fast read.

This book is amazing! The story of Willow and Luke is filled with love, lust and a bit of danger! Willow has told her parents she will not marry the man they have chosen for her and has taken the last of her savings to book a month long space trip from Mars. Her best friend Ashley is also going along. Willow's parents have turned their backs on her and she's wondering what will happen once the trip is over. It is on this trip that she learns that Ashley's brother keeps slaves on a dark planet, a planet they are scheduled to visit on their tour. Before they can get there however, the ship is forced to make a crash landing and Willow is terrified when she can't get out of her room. She is finally rescued by Luke. He is there to help rescue dragon children and certainly is no hero as far as he's concerned. In fact, he only aids in the rescue because his friend and pilot takes the keys to their ship. He finds Willow barely alive and is immediately drawn to her, wanting to protect her. Which he needs to do. The man he rescued from the same floor as Willow tries to harm her in the medical tent and he arrives in time to stop it. He then decides that he can't live without Willow and takes her to the ship, leaving the planet with her. Things are going well until one day, they receive word that they are to return to Mars immediately. Luke doesn't want to tell Willow but he does and she knows it's not something he wants to do. When they arrive, chaos ensues. Ashley's brother takes Willow prisoner and Luke and his friend Les manage to escape and run into Willow's twin sister Wilma. She helps the two of them free Willow and the four of them take off, heading to the Hidden Planet and wonders Willow has never seen.

A fast moving story with layers of goodness - This is a story that will draw you in and keep you reading until you get to the end! I loved Wilma, i think she should have her own kick ass story. Willow and Luke were perfect for each other. The plot was twisted with some turns I did not see coming, I thought it was just going to be one way, and then the story pivoted on a pivot! When the action starts, it just doesn't stop! The characters were believable, I felt bad for Willow at first, but was glad that she had her own back when she thought no one else did. A lot of people get lost in their own lives, and the author gave her enough self-possession to make her own way in the world. Her friend Ashley was a shallow character because you could tell that she had things going on that we weren't told about yet. However, as a secondary character, I can imagine that her story would also be interesting to read. The story was great, but it felt rushed like there could have been more written about some of the major scenes to make the book bigger. The action scenes felt like they were the Readers Digest versions. they got the story told and gave you the bones but left out the meat. It didn't take away from the readability of the story, it was fun to read with a lot of action. Thankfully the characters were written to get to know each other before they got intimate which I really appreciate. I would hightly recommend this book.

OMG WHAT A STORY. ITS JUST A FANTASTIC READ. Wish i could give you more stars !!!!!
What a great read. Willow is going on a space cruise to escape from her family. They wanted her to marry someone just because he was rich and well placed in the community, but Willow couldn't do it. Her parents were not pleased but that wasn't something new. But what they did do that really hurt Willow was stop her from having any contact with her twin. Willow just needed to escape and the cruise was ideal
But that was before the ship crashed.
Luke had been fighting in the war and all he wanted to do was disappear and stop seeing death all around him, when he gets told of the ship coming down and there were people from Mars alive on board. He didnt want to help, he knew he would just be seeing death again but his friend had taken the ship keys so he couldnt go anywhere till they helped. But he was happy he stayed once he set eyes on the very injured human. There was just something about her and when she said thank you his heart swelled.
this is a fantastic read there are so many twist and turns. The characters were brilliant and im so excited for the next book but I cant say much as it will give away a plot. I just couldnt put this book down, its super addictive!!!! loved it!

Love tames the beast. Willow has been separated from her twin sister for refusing to marry the man her parents have chosen for her. To escape Mars, she has bought a trip on a ship, and hopes to find another planet to live on. But several days out their ship crashes on a planet at war. And there are suspicions the ship was sabotaged. She is rescued by Luke and while recovering from her wounds she is almost killed by a crazy man who she suspects killed a young girl on the ship and he wants to silence her. Luke saves her just in time and then takes her away from the planet on his ship. After so much time being miserable on Mars she is now safe, happy, and has fallen in love with Luke. But what she doesn’t know is someone is after her and wants to kill her. Can Luke save her again and will she ever see her twin sister again? I quite enjoyed reading this entertaining alien romance. The plot is well-paced & intriguing with some unexpected, suspenseful situations & heartwarming moments. The characters are quite well-developed, interesting individuals with good chemistry between them.
There is: a huge Reslenaouan alien male (Lukanterao aka Luke) comes across an innocent young woman (Willow) in a crashed cruiser & rescues her then later claims her for his own, Luke’s friend (Les), a despicable man (Rand), Willow’s friend (Ashley) & her conniving brother (Eric), Willow’s twin sister (Wilma), manipulative parents, various kinds of aliens, slavery, twists & turns, intrigue, drama, suspense, friendship, action, adventure, enemies, danger threats, sabotage, abduction, suspicions, memories, manipulations, retaliation, contentment, steamy scenes & a satisfying conclusion. There is a preview of the next book in this series & I look forward to it with a great anticipation.

Willow is going offworld for a holiday. She needs one! Her parents are forcing her to marry, and not allowing her twin sister to talk to her. Willow is travelling with her best friend Ashley. As the pass the planet Dreagle the cruiser she is on, crashes. Lukantero is a hero of his planet even though that was never his intention. When the cruiser crashes he is asked to help find survivors. After several hours he finds Willow. He is attracted to her and looks after her at the hospital. When she is attacked he saves her - again. Lukantero decides to take her to his ship - and she's is not resisting!!! I really enjoyed this story! I liked the vivid descriptions of the world and universe! This vivid descriptions enable the reader to submerge themselves in a sci-fi romance story. Alien Beast has fast paced action and drama! It has kidnapping, rescues, sexual innuendo and sensual scenes, a fiesty heroine, kickass sister, heroes and villians! Recommended!

Willow and Wilma are twins, separated by their family after Willow refuses to marry to give them an heir and is disowned. Her and a friend, Ashley, decide to take a trip off of Mars to another planet, but their ship is sabotaged and crashes. Lukanterao (Luke) finds her on the planet, amid a war zone, and gets her onto his ship. Luke and Les save her and she falls for Luke. The characters are great with plenty of backstories to give them depth. The suspense comes from all sides and just when you think things are settling down, another wave of nasty starts up. One idiot in particular is causing most of it. Family and friends are paramount and the only ones you can count on, but the circle is growing. Plots of the resistance are causing more trouble than ever. Great ending as a lot of the trouble is taken care of. Happiness and family.

Luke is a reluctant war hero who is tired of the mayhem. Willow is a disillusioned human who wants to get away from her old life. When their paths cross - who’s saving who?
“Alien Beast” is a highly descriptive sci-fi romance that brings new worlds to life. The author makes it easy to understand the motivations and appeal of each character. Good supporting cast, especially Wilma. Full of action, surprises and swift justice. Luke is a gruff but lovable romantic lead, perfectly suitable for Willow - an empowered femme who has been saving herself in more ways than one until now! Very entertaining!

Willow just wants to escape from her life. Her parents want her to marry a rich man businessman to increase their status on Mars and when she refuses they disown her. Then the space shuttle she is taking a tour on crashes on Draegle, a planet that just ended a war that ended slavery. Luke, an alien general and hero of the war, finds her on the downed ship and rescues her. An instant connection forms and when Willow’s life is threatened Luke takes her away on his ship. They get caught up in a nasty plot but find unexpected help. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

Willow just wanted to relax...

When life at home sucks six ways from Sunday, who doesn't want to just relax, preferably in a dream vacation? Willow discovers her life has been more sheltered than she realized, and coming face to face with an Alien Beast may be the best thing to ever happen to her.

I enjoyed watching Willow gain perspective on her own life, and seeing Luke's attitude improve as he fell in love, and felt less alone. These characters healed one another in charming and delightful ways.

No more cruises for me. Who knew that taking a cruise from Mars to the universe and exploring several planets lead to Crash landing , the ending of a war, espionage and maybe finding a mate. This was actually nice yet crazy and steamy. I spoke with good characters even if one of them are lost in the book. A good read that leads to book number two. No cliffhanger just another reason to write a book to fill all the blanks that occurred once the smoke cleared.

What an awesome story. Lukanterao rescued Willow when her vacation was cut short and the space craft she was on crashed on Dreagle. Luke saved Willow not only from the crash but from another passenger who wanted to kill her. Wonderful adventure, plenty of action, drama, syspence, mystery and a super hot Reslenaouan Alien. Great love story. Highly recommend this book. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Well-written story of a woman who seems to have lost everything, even unable to see her twin. Then she is rescued by him after a shipwreck and is being followed by a murderer and this fast paced story line keeps you riveted to the end. These characters are well-fleshed out and you feel as if you know them and are rooting for their success. Must read

Good characters and interesting plot but ...

Delivery of the story is slow. I found myself skipping over gaps. The further into Alien Beast I read, the larger the gaps got.

Just An Okay Space Romance Adventure

Alien Beast, by Sophie Stern, is the story of a young woman, Willow, who has been cast out by her parents because she refused to marry the man they had chosen for her. They have also blocked her and her twin sister Wilma’s attempts to speak with each other. As a result, Willow decides to spend her savings and take a month-long space cruise along with her best friend, Ashley, although Willow is flying economy and Ashley is flying first class. The cruiser is scheduled to make a stop at the planet Dreagle; however, that stop is to be skipped due to a war being fought on Dreagle. Nevertheless, the cruiser experiences problems and is forced to make a crash landing on Dreagle.

Lukanterao, from the planet Reslenoau, is a huge man, which has earned him the moniker of the Beast. Luke constantly repeats to himself that he’s not a hero, even though he is regarded as one; he’s just a man who wants to be on his ship with his best friend Lesmenterao. Luke recently rescued a number of children from Taneyemm who were being held captive on Dreagle, probably destined to become slaves or sex toys. The Taneyemm people hailed Luke as a hero and enlisted his aid in their war on Dreagle. This war has just been wrapped up when the cruise ship crash lands on Dreagle and the Taneyemm have enlisted Luke’s aid in a rescue mission. Just as he was ready to give up on finding anyone else alive on the lower decks, Luke discovers Willow, who has been injured, and carries her to safety. The remainder of the book relates their further adventures.

Although the book was okay, I was somewhat disappointed that the author glossed over so many of the subsequent events and how the people involved were able to do what they did. In addition, pages and pages were devoted to thinking about sex, masturbating and the actual sexual acts. I don’t mind a reasonable amount of sex in a book, but when it seems that over half the book is devoted to it, I don’t care for it. The final thing I was annoyed with was that the book started at 5% and ended at 82%, with the remaining 23% in the beginning and at the end devoted to all of the other books written by the author, together with a 3-chapter excerpt from another of her various series. As a result, the book was a lot shorter than I was anticipating.

This was an ARC version of the book and although I didn’t notice any typos, I did notice a number of incorrectly used words, for which I’ve made my notes available on Goodreads.

Willow is from a wealthy family on Mars Colony 12. Her family are pressuring her into a marriage that she doesn't want so she has to choose between marrying the rich jerk they chose or leaving her family and their money behind. Willow takes the money she has been saving and went on a space cruise for her last chance to see the universe. She went with her friend Ashley but they have different cabins. A little ways into their trip, they are told that the ship will not be stopping on the dark planet Dreagle due to the war being fought. As the ship passes Dreagle, something happenes and the ship crash lands on the planet.Thousands of people die but soldiers on the planet come to the ships and try to rescue the survivors. A Reslenoauan named Lukanterao rescues Willow. Her feet and head had been badly hurt in the crash. A creepy fellow passenger who Willow has been trying to avoid tries to kill her in the med tent but Luke saves her again.

Luketerao is a Reslenoauan or a Beast as they are sometimes called. He had been fighting in the war in Dreagle because of the Dreagle's kidnapping of children. When the war ended he wanted to leave but his co-polit forced him to stay and help rescue survivors from the crashed ship. Luke did what was expected of him but he had no real sympathy until he rescues Willow. Her tiny size and injuries made him feel protective. When he saves her from being killed in the med tent, he decides to claim her as a spoil of war. He knows that he is the one best able to protect her.

Her life can't get any worse and then it does, again and again

You just have to feel sorry for Willow in Alien Beast. Her life is not going the way she wants it to so she decides to escape. Only her escape to find a different planet to live on turns into another a whole other situation. But through this Luke, one of the other ship passengers she was on, saves her a couple of times only to then take her captive for himself. It seems that he needs to have her. but there is even more about to happen to the plucky but unlucky h along the way with her "H".
This book is packed with all sorts of things happening and a lot of divergent subplots in the story. Willow is a sweet young woman who just wants to get out of an arranged marriage when her life turns upside down and then does a few more loops. For the most part the story was fun and lively. But there were a few turns that happened which to me did not make any sense nor fit into the overarching story-line. Overall I think the book was okay but not the author's best and not one I would read again.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

I had no clue this was the second book in a series. Hoopla did not tag them as such, which is a little unfortunate. You can definitely read this as a stand-alone, but I was confused about these aliens. Is he an actual alien? Or like a different alien type of human? Is there anything different about him except big?

Anyway… I don’t hate the premise or plot. It had lots of potential, but it was so short and the writing didn’t live up. I liked the whole killer on the ship thing! That was really neat and relatively well done. But Willow and Wilma felt vaguely author self-insert, and Luke kept calling Willow badass even though besides vaguely trying to get out of the room she didn’t do anything. It was insta-lovey, the whole Mars take over thing was so so paper thin, etc etc.

The writing isn’t horrible and honestly if it was so a bit more padded and longer, I would have rated it higher. If a story is interesting I can overlook a lot (probably too much) but it just missed my threshold.

The story line lacked reason and depth.
by sewsummore

Luke was an alien warrior who first saved Willow, a young human from Mars Colony. She had been injured when the spaceship she was travelling crash landed. The second time he saved her was after she had recovered from her injuries, she had been attacked and was help captive with a knife to her throat, he killed the man and took her to safety on board his small ship. Willow had never felt more cared for and safe when she was in his arms, the attraction between them soon had them lovers but an old enemy caused their plans to change. This was a short, intense story of new found love and an enemy that would kill to protect his secrets. I found this story difficult to accept, the story line lacked reason and depth.
