What a fabulously emotional story and I am so looking forward to more in this brand new series. These characters were amazing and the interaction between Cade and Hailey just made my heart sing. The characters along with excellent writing and a nice pace to the story made this one a very enjoyable read.

After a heartbreaking divorce, Avery Stowe moves herself and her autistic daughter Hailey to Redwood Ridge. The laid back lifestyle of the small town seems like just the place she's looking for. Their first night in town proves interesting though when they find an injured puppy and rush him to the local vets office. That's were Hailey first meets Cade O'Grady. It wasn't a good first meeting and Cade realizes quickly he's made a huge misjudgment. He's going to have to work hard to get back on Avery's good side. Avery's got all kinds of walls built up around her heart but watching the kind vet with her daughter is one sure way to knock all those walls down.

I definitely recommend this one.

Avery Stowe has moved to Redwood Ridge to start over after her divorce. Wary around men after a husband who couldn’t bother himself with their autistic daughter. All she wants is some peace and quiet while she regroups to figure out what to do with her life. But, as the Rolling Stones say, you can’t always get what you want. On her first night in their new home, her daughter Hailey escapes into the night and is found with an injured stray puppy in her arms.

When they arrive at the vet, Cade O’Grady, he mistakes her for a negligent pet owner and they are off on the wrong foot. Too bad, they have chemistry counteracting their animosity. When he is informed of his mistake, he realizes he owes her an apology. With some meddling by well-meaning townsfolk as well as his brothers, he suddenly finds Avery is the new office manager for the vet clinic he owns with his brothers. Avery quickly casts her spell of sweetness and generosity on everyone around her, and Cade finds himself unable to resist her charms. Unfortunately, gun-shy Avery is determined to keep Cade solidly in the friend zone. Now he just has to convince Avery that love may just stick the second time around.

I am a big fan of Kelly Moran’s books and loved this start to a new series. In turns touching, funny and with just the right amount of heat, it was fun to watch these two fall in love while getting introduced to many of the characters are likely to get their own stories and a parrot who will make you laugh out loud.

Thank you to Kensington, NetGalley and Kelly for providing an ARC of this book .

This book was truely amazing. Kelly Moran always writes real chachters with such depth and emotion and Puppy Love was no different. The characters are not perfect but they work perfectly together.
Cade is this beautiful mix of sex god and caring boyfriend/ vet. (Any guy that is good with kids and animals has got to be awesome right?)
Avery is a real woman coming out of a bad marriage who you can totally relate too.
Once you meet all of the character not just the main two you will want to know all of their stories. In fact if I could jump on a plane and fly to their town to see these sexy vets I would. I'm sure my cat would be feeling "off" too.
This is a must read book as are all of Kelly Moran's.

I LOVE a sweet story and this book is yet another example of why Kelly Moran is one of my all time FAVORITE authors. When you find such a rare gem of a story, you cant wait to share it with others. This book will bring you tears, laughter, love and purest joy. Want a great romance that is centered around an imperfect mom raising a perfect angel, then you will LOVE this story. AND...its the first in the series, so you KNOW there will be more amazingly flawed and perfect characters to fall in love with in the next one too.

"The chemistry is sizzling..."
~Library Journal

"Fullof warmth and heart, you'll fall in love with Avery and Cade, for sure, but alsothe supporting cast of quirky animals, the town boss-ladies, Cade's hot brothersand Avery's hippie mom. If you don't tumble for Cade interacting with Avery'sautistic daughter, or Avery taking over Cade's menagerie of officemates, or eventhe way the town's Pinterest account can't wait for these two to get together, your heart might be too hard for the romance genre. Laced with humor, tendernessand heat, Puppy Love is a winner."

Welcome to Redwood Ridge where everyone knows everyone and everything about you. Fresh from a divorce, Avery Stowe decided to move her daughter, Hailey, to Oregon to be closer to her mom. She never thought she would meet someone like Dr. Cade O’Grady, one of the local veterinarians who own his practice with his two brothers, Flynn and Drake. They get off to a rocky start due to a misunderstanding, but eventually, they warm to each other. Avery starts to work for the clinic, and she gets a job at the clinic. She’s not accustomed to people being so helpful, especially when it comes to Hailey, who is autistic. Throughout this story, she truly learns the meaning of community.

What I loved most was this wasn’t really an instant love story. It’s funny and charming. You quickly fall in love with all the characters, especially Hailey and the three brothers. The dialogue is great, and quite honestly anyone who can quote “Clue” is my absolute favorite character. This is the first story in the series. It leaves me wanting more, and I have so much to look forward to!

Puppy Love is the first book in a new series by Kelly Moran. I have to say I have been a fan of Ms. Moran's writing style for quite a while now. This book isn't any different, it was wonderful. While Avery shows us, she is one strong woman who has been able to raise her autistic daughter Hailey, we also see what years of neglect from her ex husband has planted in her psyche. Cade, being from a houseful and business with all brothers he plays the alpha male role well, but not to the extreme. He is a great blend who respects how a woman should be treated. Small town living at it's best for sure. I know that I can't wait to read Flynn's story. While he is one of Cade's brothers he has such a great sense of humour. I was granted access to read this book through NetGalley, Kensington Books, Lyrical Shine. 5/5 cross posting to My Reading Reality/NetGalley and Amazon.

Avery was in a loveless marriage. All she wants is to get her life back on track so, she moves with her autistic daughter Hailey to Redwood Ridge, Oregon where her mother also lives. All she just wants is privacy but, then she meets Cade O’Grady when she takes an injured puppy to the local vet. She ends up working for the vet. Cade has never met a woman like Avery and that intrigues him. Cade trys everything to get Avery to date him but, she wants nothing to do with him except work. Then she sees him with Hailey and they start going places together. Cade and Avery do end up having some good sex scenes together. If you want to know more about this beautiful love story, you will need to get this book and read it. I truly loved this book!!

This was my first book by Ms. Moran, but I'm already anxious to pre-order the next two books in this series, so I guess that's a pretty good sign that she's made a fan out of me.

I went in to this book not sure what to expect, and I was happily surprised by just how much I adored this book. This is SUCH an important book, not just because it's a well-written book with a great story line and a well-deserved happily ever after, but because it gives insight into the life of a parent who has a child on the autism spectrum. As someone with first-hand knowledge of the effects of autism on a child and on a family, I was nervous about how Hailey would be portrayed, but Ms. Moran did a beautiful job of showing how difficult life can be but also how high functioning and misunderstood children who have autism can be. This aunt of a child who has Autism and former worker at a preschool for kids with special needs would like to say thank you, Ms. Moran, for drawing attention to this in such a beautiful way. As if that weren't enough, this book includes a deaf character who isn't just a throw-away side character, but is a huge part of this book and is actually the main male character of the next book in the series. The people around him have learned sign language to make it so that they can communicate with him, they don't just make half-efforts. This type of inclusion is missing from the genre and I LOVE that Ms. Moran chose to write their stories. (I also just liked Flynn as a character, so I am excited to read his book.)

Avery is the epitome of a strong woman and a good mother and I couldn't help but root for her to deal with her (completely understandable) trust issues and allow herself to trust Cade.
I loved how she handled Hailey's meltdowns and tried to anticipate any issues, and how she checked up on Hailey at school without being a helicopter mom. Without spoiling anything, I got teary-eyed during one scene that took place at the fence.

Cade is the town's playboy who didn't stand a chance once he got past his initial incorrect assessment of Avery. It was so awesome watching him slowly lose his heart not only to Avery, but to Hailey. Unlike so many books in the genre these days, these two didn't meet and immediately fall into bed. There was a 'courtship' of sorts, and I appreciated that. This might sound weird, but even though it was a love story between Avery and Cade, in so many ways this book was also a “love story” between Hailey and Cade too. It was the kind of of a fatherly love story that every daughter SHOULD have with her father, but that Hailey had never experienced with her own uninvolved father. The way that he nurtured her and cared for, the way that he connected with her in his own way, made me swoon. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried during the scene in the woods and then the scene that followed. I didn't expect that.

Not only were the two main characters incredibly likable, but the side characters were fabulous as well. The Battleaxes cracked me up, even as they meddled unapologetically. The staff and animals at the vet clinic were a hoot, and I adored both of the other O'Grady brothers Flynn and Drake. I liked the way that both brothers bonded with Avery, but I especially loved the way that Flynn specifically bonded with Hailey. I have to admit that if I lived in that town, my pets would be feeling “off” quite often because the people at the clinic were exactly the kind of people I would want to be around.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic comedy with a little bit of seriousness thrown in. This book has it all.

I requested a copy of this from NetGalley and was under absolutely no obligation to write this review or to pre-order the book, I did those things because I enjoyed it.

This book just melted my heart! Cade is a veterinarian working along side his older brothers, Drake and Flynn, at the practice that their father started in their small hometown of Redwood Ridge. All 3 brothers are single and good looking, therefore they attract all the single (and some not so single) women from around the area. And to date that has worked out very well for Cade. He doesn't want a relationship so he only goes for one night stands ... but he is a gentleman and tries his hardest not to break their hearts.

Avery is a newly divorced mother of a 7 year old girl with autism. After her divorce, she moves to Redwood Ridge to be near her mother and to get her daughter, Hailey, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A romance is not even on her radar, as Hailey is her only concern. Their 1st day there, Hailey wonders off in the woods and comes across a puppy full of blood. Avery takes the puppy to the vet for treatment and Cade thinks that she is a tourist who is responsible for the puppy's injuries. Once Cade finds out that the puppy was a stray and Avery didn't cause the injuries, he cannot apologize to Avery enough. The brothers end up hiring Avery to run the office and thus begins attraction that Cade and Avery cannot deny.

This book checks all the boxes for me ... it's funny, romantic, erotic, and melts your heart. A great read and I highly recommend it!

Oh, how I loved this book! I was rooting for Cade and Avery from their first meeting. I loved their chemistry and their friendship. I loved watching Cade fall in love with not only Avery but her daughter as well. And I loved watching Avery slowly, slowly let her guard down and let Cade in. The town was hilarious (esp. Cade's relatives) and I can't wait to read more about them in coming books.

Funny, steamy, touching--this book is fabulous!

Favorite Quotes:

‘The Battleaxes are here… All three of them at once. This can’t be good.’ She’d only met them a handful of times since moving, but they were intimidating as individuals. Together they could take down the Taliban.

It had been years since someone had looked at her instead of through her.

Popcorn, chocolate, coffee, ice cream, and pizza. The five food groups. Health nuts are going to feel stupid one day, dying of nothing.

I’m so nervous. The only man I’ve ever slept with was my ex, and that was so long ago I’m not sure my parts still work.

It’s just like riding a bicycle. A vibrating, naked, muscled bicycle.

Since Mom had been married four times before, Avery figured her mother was an expert in all things romance. Or was really bad at it.

My Review:

Puppy Love was my second Kelly Moran read and I enjoyed it beginning to end. Ms. Moran is a gifted scribe and provided ample servings of humor, steam, and quirky characters to kick off a new series. The storyline was relevant, relatable, and realistic, as were the endearing and lovable characters who were each valiantly struggling with real life issues. I adored the setting of a small town vet clinic that hosted a menagerie of abandoned pets. The story was active, eventful, and full of entertaining threads with my favorite being the ironic humor of the parrot that spoke in well-framed song lyrics which always seemed to add a flavorful commentary to the human interactions. The writing was often cleverly amusing, thoughtfully observant, occasionally angsty, yet always emotionally engaging. I want to spend more time with this interesting and diverse group of characters.

I was given a free ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This story hits all of my soft spots as I to have an autistic son. Leaving a loveless marriage to raise her daughter in peace only to meet to local vet. The town hottie, not looking for romance. Both brought together by a little girl with some difficulties and a new puppy with a hard rod ahead.
Such a good light read, I recommended this book to everyone!

Kelly Moran never fails to please! Cade and Avery are so real, both in their growing love for each other and in their reactions to everyone and the menagerie of side characters with the usual dose of humour to be found. As the parent of an autistic child, I am happy to see how well Avery's daughter is portrayed, and applaud the message presented in relating to children on the autistic spectrum. This is a fantastic story, amazingly well-told and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

One of the "realest" books that I have read! As usual, Kelly Moran does not disappoint!

At the urging of her mother, Avery moves to the small town of Redwood Ridge with her daughter after the divorce is finalized. A chance encounter with one of the town's sexy veterinarians and misunderstandings gets Avery off on the wrong foot. A couple of days later, Dr Cade realizes that he was completely wrong about Avery.

Once Avery starts working at the vet's office and settling into her new life, Cade sees what a truly amazing woman she is. Having an autistic daughter and an ex-husband that doesn't even acknowledge that he has a daughter, makes it hard for Avery to trust any man. "Watching" Cade pursue Avery while all of the single women chase after him gets a little humorous at times. I truly appreciate that Avery & Cade build a friendship and then slowly build a romantic relationship from that foundation.

This is my second book by Kelly Moran and I am impressed. Her stories are heartfelt. Her characters are like family. She speaks to the heart with her brand of good- natured down home love stories. Puppy Love is such a sweet story. There is nothing more precious to a mother than the well being of her child. A fresh start in a less hectic atmosphere is just the thing for Avery and her daughter to begin again. A little small town romance with a adorable backdrop of characters and a an A list main cast make for a light hearted second chance story.

This was such a sweet, sexy, funny, heartwarming book that had me in tears at some parts, and cracking up at others.

The chemistry between Cade and Avery was instant and intense. I loved the banter between these two, and how Cade made Avery realize what an awesome person she is. There is truly nothing sexier than a man who welcomes another man's child with complete open arms, but a child with special needs??Made him beyond swoonworthy.

The secondary characters added just as much fun to this story, and has me hoping for a lot more books about them!

A phenomenal must read!!

I received a copy of this story from NetGalley for honest review.

Puppy Love is my first book by Kelly Moran and it was a fun, light read. Avery has left her old life behind and is ready to start a new life with her daughter Hailey. She ends up moving to Oregon to be closer to her mother, and here she finds a new life, new friend and a new love in Cade. Cade owns a veterinary practice with his brothers and finds himself attracted to Avery. I liked this story because the two main characters did not fall into bed together right away and the romance built up over the story. I like the duo pov's and that there wasn't any cheating, or any real O/W drama. Overall good story with good main characters and supporting friends. The end felt a bit rushed and would have been way better with an Epilogue.

Avery and her daughter Hailey had been traveling for two days and finally got to the town of Redwood Ridge. Hailey was autistic and her father had given up full custody and didn’t even want visitation. If Hailey got too much stimulation or someone touched her especially her head she had a fit or tantrum. Hailey didn’t talk. Avery’s mom had moved to this town ten years ago. Avery hoped this town would be good for Hailey. Hailey was seven. Justine was Avery’s mom and had inherited some cabins from an aunt and she rented them out to tourist and she also owned a second hand store called thrifty. Avery dozed off and forgot to lock the back door and when she woke up Hailey was gone. Hailey often took off not because she wanted to run away but she lived inside her head and Had no concept of danger. Avery found Hailey in the woods with a puppy who was missing part of his leg and bleeding a lot but Haley had connected with the dog the first time she really connected with anything. Avery, Justine and Hailey took the puppy to the pet hospital and Cade just happened to be still there he was on call anyway.Cade took the puppy and told them to come back tomorrow to see him. Avery ex was Richard who was Hailey’s father. For the first time in a long time Avery felt attracted to Cade. Richard had made Avery quit her job after they were married to be at his beck and call. Then he used Hailey to further isolate her from everyone. Cade was attracted to Avery also. Then Avery was hired to be the pet hospital’s office manager as the current manager was her bosses aunt and she wanted to retire. Then Avery organized the whole office for the vets and techs even for the pet groomer. Cade’s brothers were also vets one was deaf but did well. Then Avery got talked into becoming the head of the Events committee which all the money earned by the different events went to charity. She even got the oldest brother Drake to smile. Cade was being as patient as he could be. Avery realized they were in a relationship even if it was hidden or so she thought. The night of the Valentine's Day Dance Drake pointed out to Cade that Cade was falling for Avery and before this Cade had kept things casual with any woman he seen since Drake became a widower and still was a shadow of himself since his wife’s Heather's’ death who had been his HS sweetheart. He never wanted that kind of pain.
This was an amazing story I loved it. How Hailey made friends and even went on overnights with her friend. I loved how Cade was with Hailey actually his whole family and the friends Avery had made.I also loved how Cade was as patient as he could be when at times…… just a beautiful romance and one of my new favorites. Also it calls attention to autism and that being autistic does not mean you aren’t human and can’t care. I applaud the author for her portrayal of Hailey . Great plot great story. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

****** ARC BOOK FROM THE PUBLISHER FOR AN HONEST REVIEW*****
This book was very emotional for me only cause I have a autistic child and can relate to most the emotional stuff dealing with an ex and stuff. But this book was very well written about a lady that has learned to rely on no one for help in raising her daughter and when she moved to the same town as her mother she was closed off but one by one 3 hunky brothers brought her around and cade found her heart again.
