Hope is one of those books where I wish I could rate it more than 5 stars because this book is worth so many more stars.
Hope is something completely different from James Crow Author, HOPE is an epic and very well written gripping read.
Be prepared for your mind to be blown and the deeper into the book you go the twister things become, parts of this book are dark, very brutal graphic scenes both violent and sexual in nature.
If you love to read a book that delivers something fresh and exciting, HOPE is a book for you.
Be warned though this is a book of many layers and nothing is simple, the only thing we have is HOPE!

Hope is a book that will have you thinking about it throughout the day and especially at NIGHT as you read it.
While reading I found myself peeking over my tablet feeling as if something or someone was there because of the amazing job James did with the amount of depth in the details and descriptions of what is happening. I cannot begin to describe the goosebumps and chills I felt the more I read.I highly recommend that you read Hope at night for maximum effect.
This has to be my favorite book that James has written so far.

This book is totally different from James' other books while there's still the crazy well thought out sex this one takes a dark turn that's so thrilling you won't be able to turn the pages fast enough..The characters are well thought out and their personalities really come life James has a way with his words that pull you in and hold you captive right to the last sentence.I love the darkness in this story and all the twists and turns just added to the pleasure..creepy,death and so many birds..This book truly blew my mind and shows that James Crow is a master at any genre he sets his sights on and once again proved why he's a firm favourite of mine..Five mind blowing stars..

The magic of Hope, the craziness of Hope, the mix of totally unique characters, your mind whirling as you read this roller coaster, quite extraordinary story. One doesn’t know which side is up, Bethany with her bricks visuals, a total special character, she’s supposed to be stupid but read this and make your own opinion. His words, so many brilliant words. The darkness, the nightmare that totally sweeps the reader in the maelstrom, there are Crows, sparrows, the Eye, there’s Pete, Elizabeth, the Pit, you need to keep your wits about you as you delve into this crazy as hell, darker than Hades, filthy as fuck and addictive read. I’ve seriously never read such a book, I’m going to read it again and again to try and work out how James mind works

What can I say this is not a normal James Crow book but if you loved Dare then you’ll love this one.
It’s Dark and twisted and at the end of every chapter you’ll want to read the next one straight away.
Hope is extremely well written and the characters are brought to life where you’ll love them one minute and hate them the next you really feel like you’ve been sucked into this book.
It’s a book that you’ll want to read over and over and still feel it’s not enough

A dark twisted 5* must read!!
Everytime I read a new book by James crow I think wow this is his best yet but HOPE really is his best! His dark twisted tale leaves you mind boggled and wanting more, his attention to detail with each character makes you feel like you really know them, that your inside the minds of them all. As I read it it was like I was watching a film and boy what a film it would make. I'm a huge fan of James's books each one is so different from the others he truly is a talented author, no matter what genre he writes he nails it and always makes me want more of his writing, I can't wait to read what he writes next and I know without a shadow of doubt that I will love it he's so unique and literally one of a kind.

A story like no other I have read. Totally unique, this dark, twisted tale had me gripped from the start. Goosebumps formed on top of goosebumps, as the story unfolds with pace- leaving me shouting OMG on numerous occasions.
It played out like a movie in my head, so visual were the scenes described, I felt I was transported into the story and was observing every detail unfold. There are so many intriguing characters that literally will get under your skin and invade your dreams. Hope is one of those stories that will stick in your mind and just keep on giving. So much so, I want to jump back in and reread!

Hope is a book so totally different and unique from James Crow Author and your mind will be blown reading it. This fabulous book , although very dark at times , still has James’ trademark eroticism. The characters are all so well written and each one so very fascinating in their own way . This book will suck you right in and have you questioning what you’ve just read and then you’ll want to read it all again . The many twists and turns made this such a memorable read and this has to be my favourite book that James has written so far and proves that he can write any genre he sets his mind to . A totally uber cooly dooly five fantastic stars

This uniquely gifted author has raised the bar yet again and taken me on one of his darkest journeys to date.
His way with words and his attention to detail shines thru this dark and twisted tale. His characters both light and dark captivate your imagination, and have you turning every page thinking you know where this story is going only to be thrown another curve ball at every stop.
This was not an easy read with the dark undertones surfacing thru out the story. But his subtle yet descriptive imagery transports you to the Scottish Loch where this story takes place and his imagination to think outside the box makes you want to continue to devour each and every chapter hoping for a bright ending...
Masterfully written with a healthy dose of eroticism like only James Crow can deliver..As always this author excites me with the emotional roller coaster he takes me on, and pushes the boundaries like only he can. It was way more than a 5 star rating for me and l would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to be taken so far out of their comfort zone and have their mind blown.

HOPE is a very different book from James Crow. I had to stop in the middle of the first part to start over because I was so confused about what was going on. This book will leave you with your mind blown.
HOPE is about some sweet, likeable, deranged, psychotic, gruesome characters. They will have you rooting for them or hoping they will disappear. And the birds, so many of them and other godly creatures.
This book is about Pete and the customers at his cabins on the loch. When he comes across this pit, he starts to act strange with his dark intentions and sexual activities.
HOPE is weird, but in a good way. I was not expecting this story to be the way it is. And that's good because it's great to be surprised by an author you like.

James is truly a master story teller and Hope is one twisted, compelling story. It's been a long time since I've not been able to put a book down but Hope omg! I couldn't get enough. The complex mix of characters will leave you doubting your sanity with tons of wth! moments that will have your heart racing. A truly unique story.

This story is unique and totally different from this extremely talented author. This story is dark twisted, brutal and graphic, and I was totally captivated and intrigued throughout. This author always pays attention to detail and gives his characters and plots such depth, that I was hooked and intrigued from the very beginning. In my opinion, this story is worth so much more than the 5 stars allowed, and this is just one of those tales which remains with you when finished!

Hope is like all those after dark tv shows I watched as a kid. I knew I shouldn't be watching, but I did anyway. Where what you saw was not always what you thought it to be. Where you knew you should stop but you just can't because deep down you know you liked to be scared and that's kind of exciting. Pete and his guests will be haunting me for some time. James has found his calling in writing about all things creepy and wrong. Well done James, well done!

An uber Cooly-dooly fun do.
James Crow has certainly outdone himself this time. To say this book is different from his other books is an understatement. However different is good. Don't mistake it, the writing and story quality is top notch, as to be expected from Mr.Crow, but the story has a different feel. It's suspense, mystery, a dab of horror/mysticism, a touch of intrigue, and an all around, as Beth would say, Fun Do!! It had a very David Lynch or Stephen King type feel to it, a was a real mind bender and twisty type of read. Beth just may be my favorite female character he's ever written, move over Dani you have some competition. All of the characters were well thought out, even the one's who had small parts were well developed, from M&Ms to Mr.Wood, no detail was overlooked.
Another top tier 5 star plus book.This is definitely one of my top 10 favorite books of the year, maybe even of all time. #2018MustRead

This story seemed interesting to me, different from what the author usually writes, clearly preserving the essence, dark and twisted, it's good.
At first I felt lost and confused because I could not find the thread, I felt the story as a puzzle of 5000 pieces, but as I was reading and putting the pieces in place, I discovered the monster that was hidden in it and the HOPE that is able to beat it 👍🏻

This one left me going wth? I was lost at the beginning, I’m not going to lie. I had to push myself to keep reading. (I’m one of those who likes to “think” I know what’s going on) The more I read the more I got into the characters, darkness, the twists & turns of the story. I was able to visualize what the characters were seeing & doing. If you are looking for a book that will be different from the “norm” this is it!

Oh my gods! This book .... I still can't even put into words how I feel and it's been a couple of days since I finished it. James has a way with writing that sucks you in and keeps you there until the end. This book however was just as amazing as all his others. A little different but all in all just as vivid and twisted and heart pounding. I loved every twist and turn this story has to offer!

Hope was unputdownable! This story is dark, twisted, and such a well written enthralling read. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. It will draw you in and before you know it, you will question what the hell you just read. Absolutely fantastic!!

This book is different, even though there is crazy sex, this one is so much darker.
So many twist will get you to turn the pages to read more and more until you realize you have reach the end.
James has a way with words that will make you fall deep into the story and when you come back from such an experience your head will be all over the place. You don’t know what to think anymore, because this book will make you THINK.
Don’t expect to sleep much at night cause you will be reliving the book!!!!!

Holy F****** moly what did I just read !!!! I love James Crow, because he simply is not afraid to step out of the box when he writes a novel. Usually he writes extremely erotic sexual tales so this is really different for James. I have read all of his books except one and I will be rectifying that soon but this book - will blow your mind, you will either love it or dislike it. Understanding it maybe a little more difficult but I must say I have to praise James for his vivid imagination because I can't even begin to fathom how he thought up this intriguing very unique story. I have certainly never read anything like it at all, so fasten your seat belts because your in for a ride of your life !!!!
Full of dark brutal scenes, erotic sex ( yep he didn't forget that ) very disturbing happenings some of which your mind will struggle to get round, more twists and turns than you can comprehend and birds; yep lots of birds and of course a fabulous young lady named Bethy and her cooly dooly words who may I add was the breathe of fresh air this book craved and she delivered nicely thank you. Based around holiday cabins for rent near a loch in Scotland, run by Peter the freak and a handful of guests he entertains in different cabins you are about to be taken into the unknown.
This book is NOT for the fainthearted be warned, but even though I was asking myself after finishing this book - did I enjoy this tale ? The answer would have to be, no not so much as I thought; BUT that didn't stop me wanting to turn every page with my mouth hanging open in disbelief and shock until I finished because I HAD to find out what happened in the end, it was imperative, it was addictive - Stephen King would have been proud James, and if your brave enough, then read this book. Not to be missed !!!!

I don’t even know how I should start this review. My brain was scrambled and then blown to bits after reading this book. It is like nothing else I have ever read.
This was the kind of story that sucks you into a world that gives you the creeps, leaves you feeling sticky, dirty and in an absolute book hangover when you are done.
It’s the type of book you go in on with a clean slate and no preconceived notions because I guarantee you, what this author has in store for you is both thrilling and unexpected.
Written so well, with great world building and characters that have their own stories to tell, yet all intersect with one another to make this book an intensely satisfying read.
I’m not going to discuss details because I don’t want to give away one single thing about this book. I don’t want to spoil it for you and I honestly don’t know if my words would do this book justice.
Just know that it will grip you and keep you in its clutches until the very end. It left me numb.......but in the best way.
This is my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last.

It's a book that will stay with you long after you have read it and if asked to describe it I would say it's a wonderful trippy tale that definitely keeps you on your toes.
I love James Crow's style of writing and whilst this is slightly different to his usual tales it definitely didn't disappoint me.
