Fighting her own sister in the underworld wasn't the plan. Meeting Nollix's less-than-charming Demon friends was not the plan. Finding alliances in the eerie creatures that nightmares are made of, was definitely not the plan.
Violence had a plan. A real one. A good one: stop the Mad King. Fall in love with one—maybe two, certainly not three—men. And then probably live happily ever after.
What if happily ever after doesn't really exist?
This is the final book in a reverse harem series, recommended for readers 18+.
A.K. Koonce is a USA Today best selling author. She's a mom by day and a fantasy and paranormal romance author by night. She keeps the fantastical stories in her mind on an endless loop, while she tries her best to focus on her actual life and not that of the spectacular but demanding fictional characters who always fill her thoughts
Yet another series from A.K.Koonce which was fantastic! The plot was brilliant and the characters were all clearly defined and all had separate personalities.
Ending want the best but fit in with the story itself. Would really love for Koonce to go back to this series in the future as I want to know what happens to the four of them in the future.
When reading urban fantasy, I have found it difficult to get the perfect blend of action and romance...until now. I read the first book anticipating the unique story line and by a few chapters I was already hooked. I fell in love with the main characters and can't seem to decide which man I like the best. I can't choose because they are all perfect. A.K. has created the perfect blend of casual touches and steamy gazes that make me envious of Vi and I love the storyline and the details, as well as the character development throughout the books.
On the down side, the ending was a bit anticlimactic. I expected a bigger finale, but overall, it was worth it. I will just have to use my imagination to fill in the final battle scene.
Thank you A.K. for a wonderful ride and three totally hot men that are too perfect for words. I hope that you revisit this series and continue the story and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
The final conclusion to Violence's journey. Vi is tired and weary in this tale. She now carries a heavy darkness within her that seems to literally drag her down. However, she is surrounded by 3 good men who love her and would do anything to save her. Even from herself. This tale seemed short, but it was still full of adventure and sexy times. Cameron gets a HEA with his new crew as well and it's done in a way that makes sense. I will say, I really liked the maniac demon-ness that was introduced. She was a wee bit crazy but she was a good villain to love. Haha.
Overall very pleased with this series, but Nollix is still my favorite. He's mine! Lol.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Impressive conclusion to the this wild hunt trilogy. Not only does it nicely wrap up all of the questions still lingering after the first two books but Vi gets to have moment with each one of her guys to cement how things are working for them all. The individual moments are sweet tying things together quite nicely wrapped around enough action to really keep the story moving in this world of unending surprises. Well written with some great development that I recommend to fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
The final book of the series and omg what an awesome ending. I can’t say to much without giving away spoilers. This book started where Darkness Consuming ended. It had steamy scenes with Vi and her men which I loved. Along the way we meet a demon friend of Nollix in the underworld and some creepy creatures. . I could not put this book down it was so good. I’m sad this series is ending but can’t wait to see what else A.K Koonce has for us. This series is a definite must read you will not be disappointed.
No spoilers of any kind because I’m not the type that does that. So this is all I’m going to say about this book and that is it’s absolutely amazing! But I’m sad that this was the last book of Violence, Linkin, Nollix and Cameron! I absolutely enjoyed going on this journey with them and it’s sad that I will no longer will be able to do that anymore unless A.K. Koonce decides continue later down the line. Which quite truthfully I hope happens someday. But yes I do recommend this this book heck I recommend the whole series because I thought it was completely amazing!
What a great ending to this series. Violence, Nollix, Linkin and Cameron have to fight through the underworld to save everything from total destruction. All the while figuring out the relationship between all 4 of them. The ending was so great! Nollix is still my favorite though! I can't wait to read more from AK Koonce, her worlds are so imaginative and the characters make the stories amazing! I will be adding this series to my reread list. Such a great series!
Violence tracks her sister and psycho Jeriko through the Underworld to stop them from releasing the worse of the worse. She finally gets all her guys, sweet Link, cocky Nollix, and warlock Cameron. I loved these characters and the concept of the Wild Hunt. Haven’t read anything with reference to it before and I loved how this author took it and made it her own with such passion. Can’t wait to read what comes next from this author.
I loved the plot of Violence's story. This book, in particular, felt really rushed, though. Everything happened so fast without much time to stop and think about what was happening. And I'm kind of confused about her magic. She was supposed to be done insanely powerful being but hardly held a flame to the people she was fighting. There could have been more development in the relationships, too. All around, it was good but lacking in detail.
Wonderful wrap up to the series! Violence isn’t your typical MFC, unsure how to express herself, knowing nothing but despair and rejection from her father, but there is just a strength about her that absolutely draws you in! I am happy that she got her HEA, I’m going to miss reading about her and the guys!
The third and final book in the Severed Souls series does not disappoint. Vi defeats many demons from her terrible past. All the while she is discovering the men in her life are there for all she needs. Great ending to the series. Sad to see Vi and her men’s story is over. Intriguing land with great characters.
So much yes! I love Vi's story, and it has been truly wonderful getting to know her and her men. And I loved the interplay between the harem, especially Cameron and Nollix. The ending really tied this particular plot line together, and yet was open enough to suggest further adventures down the line. And I really hope that we get to revisit these characters, even if it's just temporarily.
What a fantastic ending to this fantastic series. I love these characters, Violence is my spirit animal for sure. Nollix, Link and Cam are all great, they each have very distinctive and varied personalities but there is so much love between them all. The whole concept of this series is original and entertaining and I really enjoyed reading it.
Violence's journey is coming to an end as she searches for her sister in the underworld. She has three very capable men who love her and want nothing more than to see her truly happy. This book pays alot more attention to her and her men than it does the conclusion of the story. Overall this was a good cute series, that made me smile.
Very good read. I read a lot I like moving into the world the authors can create. Some are very good bad immersing us in their world I feel that A.K Koonce Monocle is very good at it. All these books have that quality. A must read series.
The first 2 books were readable and I enjoyed them, but this last one, it was more sex than the tale. I am not really a prudish lady, but I found myself skipping the scenes about sex just to get to the tale itself :-/
This was very awesome. They all came together they did what had to be done. They are an amazing team. Super happy i read this series and u should read it as well.
Nice little book. The only reason I couldn’t give this four stars was because by the time I got to the last book I started to lose interest and just wanted to finish it.
I absolutely love all books by AK Koonce and this is no different! I loved the final book in this series and that we have an ending to Vi’s story with her guys! Like all the other books Nollix is still my favourite out the three guys but the other are close behind. There are a lot of interesting supporting characters in this book which really makes the story more intriguing and I was captivated by the story as soon as I started all the way to the end! Highly recommended series by a very talented author!!
