This series is a sweet, clean romance.Book The Auction

I was intrigued by the story, finding myself turning pages quickly. I didn't realize how short of a story it was. It was kitschy at times and I sometimes uttered, "huh." Overall, I am better for reading it than not.
Amish Homecoming, The Proposal, is written by Samantha Bayarr. This book really shocked me with its storyline. It is an enjoyable read and it keeps the readers interest to the end.
The characters are very likeable but there were a few I think were not accepting their grief. When the proposal is made I must admit I was shocked and alittle upset. My heart went out to Lila immediately. I was glad when Lila chose her path and it made perfect sense. Lila is strongwilled and it is a good thing with what she is up against. I did not receive a complimentary copy of this book to read. I was not approached to post a favorable review at anytime. I have rated this book with five stars because it has meant my expectations of a wonderful story that I can highly recommend to others.
Congratulations to Samantha Bayarr for writing another fantastic story for her readers to enjoy. I am looking forward to the next book in this series
Lila and Hannah were best friends and sisters, there was no doubt she would do what she could to have helped her sister. The request the Bishop made after the funeral and to give an answer that soon. She couldn’t do it, the children did need a mother. With expectation from the community parents, and Bishop she flees. A chance meeting of someone she had seen at the funeral, and now again, their eyes meet. Is he a Mennonite, or English she didn’t know. Choices that are heavy upon her, while still grieving from the loss. Good story of being true to yourself and choosing what is best for you, not others.
The novella starts out with Lila at her sister's funeral and seeing a young man with blue eyes at another funeral, she feels a connection. Sorry -- too far fetched. Just not believable. And what happens next is off the charts. A week? A month I might buy, but a week?!
She leaves home with a horse and buggy and keeps them. Don't buy that either.
I just found the time allowed for everything to be so rushed, none of it was believable. The plot idea itself was okay but to shove it into a week!!!!
Very disappointing and I won't be reading the follow-up book(s). No, I do not recommend.
OK, I admit I'm partial to Amish stories. This story was sweet and full of emotions. Though I am neither Amish or Mennonite, I relish their love and closeness to the family unit. This is close to God's heart and mine. The author and the editing was good with telling the story, describing emotions, remaining true to customs, and keeping distractions from interfering with the reading. All these attributes led me to give this book a five stars rating. Well done.
I really a this story. The characters were really good 👍 together. I loved the interaction between Lila and Ben. I had several emotions reading this book. It was a little bit sad 😢 at times. What does God have in store for Lila and Ben? I was hoping the outcome of her dilemma would be what it came to be. Read it for yourself!

I really enjoyed reading this book a great read I loved how the author exp!aimed each character in this book even though Lila loved her sister she would not submit to marriage just for sake of Hannah husband and the children J was glad that it worked out for everyone it was a great read.
I enjoyed this story. The story of the death of a young woman of the Amish community brought a challenge to the dead women's sister when the family wanted her to marry her sister's widow and take over as wife and mother, fill her dead sister's shoes. Could she do that?
I gave this book five stars because the story kept me interested. It flowed well and didn't jump around like some stories do. I read it all in one sitting if that says anything.
I enjoyed reading this story! The characters personality traits were strong enough that I could relate to what they were experiencing in their lives, just like they were real people. The only thing I would have liked is for it to have been a longer book!
I enjoyed reading this sweet story and learning about some of the beliefs and traditions of the Amish. It was easy to picture in my mind, what the farms and countryside looked like.
Amish is a romance novel. It is written in a very simplistic style. While the style seems to be written for a teen or tween, the subject may not appeal to that age group. The lack of depth led to my low rating.
Love the story. Love the characters and getting to know them. We never know what God's ultimate plans for us are. Another start reading and can't put it down story.
Another good book from Samantha Bayarr, it was a short story but good. Brought in characters from another series of hers. I think you will enjoy reading it.
What an enjoyable read. Quick, entertaining and palpable situations. They drew you in. You couldn’t feel more a part of the story if you were actually present.
