My personal review

I only gave this book 3 stars. I found the beginning interesting, but I really didn't enjoy that ridiculously long history lesson on how much the Muslim world, in particular, Palestine, hates Israel and wants to see them destroyed. Way too many quotes from everyone from Arafat to Ahmadinejad to Khomeini, to Abbas, all said the same thing. Very hard to stay focused from page 140 on.

This is a pretty bloated piece that is extremely lite on eschatology and overly heavy on 20th Century World History. While the topics covered are all quite interesting, the book nonetheless drifts considerably far from its original mandate. It’s a shame. A proper editor would have urged the author to summarize quickly and return to the original topic.

interesting perspective!

I prefer less historical background though recent developments are great for perspective. Over I enjoyed Ryan’s obvious knowledge of this topic and region, along with Scripture to back things up.
