"We were going to face down the darkness together. We were going to set the world on fire."
description

Freaks is the explosive conclusion to the Dirty Nasty Freaks Series. With heart-stopping action, smoldering passion, and red-hot romance, Callie Hart has officially done it again!

description
"I was running out of time."
Freaks picks up directly after the nail biting cliffy in Nasty. Fix is on a mission to protect Sera. He will do whatever it takes to identify the individual that wants her dead. Fix is a ruthless assassin and paired with Sera they become an unstoppable force. The stakes are high for Sera and Fix to eliminate their enemies and find long lasting love together.

description
"I'm in love with you, Angel.
And it will be the death of us both."
Told in dual POV, Freaks contains all of the elements of a perfect storm. The intensity of the plot paired with the passionate connection between Sera and Fix makes this trilogy an absolute must-read. The characters are complex and the circumstances in which they live will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read. I am constantly amazed by the witty banter and rich dialogue Ms. Hart craftily weaves in her work. Sera and Fix are both burdened by the demons from their past and yet, together they become whole. With a complex plot, strong characters, and smoking hot passion, Freaks is an exceptional read with a twisted plot, a ruthless alpha hero, and a spirited heroine.

description

I highly recommend Freaks to readers who enjoy a dark romance that is raw, real, and full of heart. Callie Hart's exquisite storytelling never ceases to amaze me. I highly recommend Dirty Nasty Freaks because everyone needs to meet FIX!

What an exciting conclusion to this trilogy! This was the perfect finale and it kept me on my toes for the whole book!! The reveals were jaw dropping and of course the sex was still so intense! I loved Fix and Sera together! Their passion burned and Fix is the best dirty talker around!

I highly recommend this trilogy, expect a ton of suspense and surprises along the way!

Thanks Steph for reading these three books with me! I enjoyed experiencing it all with you!❤️

I need more of my sexy man Fix and answers. In those orders, thanks!

And I got it! I got more then I was expecting and I loved it ❤️

This is my favorite from the trilogy. It got everything that I’m a sucker for:
Romance;
Hot man;
Sexy times, very sexy times;
A amazing plot twist;
A new character introduced that I liked it very much and want to know more about;
Great writing;
Fantastic characters
And cool story line,
I mean, a hitman that falls in love with is target and would do anything to protect her, but the target is not a weak little girl, no, no, she is a badass strong women who takes no shit and makes her one decisions.

What is not to like??

With the explosive ending in book two, Freaks continues the timeline with Felix Marcosa searching for the information he desperately needs to protect Sera Lafferty. Though Fix is a seasoned assassin and moves in certain circles, his world is a small one and that complicates their situation.

“Fuck,” he groaned. “The moment you slid your pussy down onto my dick, I was a fucking goner.”

Time is limited for Fix and Sera so the moments are intense as their bond is further fortified. Physically, their attraction is combustible, but they also connect on an emotional level. By learning about their personal challenges, it solidifies how they’ve grown in the face of adversity.

“I walked the road to hell, and I lived there for a time, but I’m not going to be another broken girl you have to take care of. You’re a fixer. But you don’t need to fix me.”

Full of action, twists and incredible storytelling, this trilogy comes full circle with some surprises. After the curious ending of Nasty, a timeline question arose, but it becomes very clear how the narrative fits within this series. What I especially liked is that Fix and Sera remained true to their characters to the very end. While they both have triggers, their instinct to protect is overwhelmingly strong and leads to them to a place where they can move forward.

Freaks is a book with edge, grit and heart pumping action. This book will appeal to those looking for a dark romance filled suspense.

So. Freaking. Hot!!

And I don't just mean the passion between Fix and Sera, which was insanely hot, of course. Gosh, Fix's mouth... he can talk dirty to me any time!

Fix and Sera were stuck in the same position they ended up in at the end of book two. Meaning they were no closer to finding out who was behind the contract on Sera's life. And then Zeth was still making his presence known, in such extraordinary ways. Thanks to the author for giving me more of the men I love so freaking much.

Facing almost certain death, Fix was doing everything he could to protect Sera and to protect their future together. And Sera was completely devoted to that future with him. In love and falling deeper, they just needed to find out who to kill to save Sera's life. Easy breezy!

This book had so many scenes and quotes that I loved and I highlighted way too much to share. The author gave me a satisfying conclusion to this trilogy, although I'm incredibly greedy and I want more. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll see this couple again.

This was a great ending to this series!

"I call her my angel, because she brings me back from the edge. She reminds me I'm not entirely lost."

I've been eagerly awaiting to read the conclusion to the Dirty Nasty Freaks Series and it didn't disappoint. I’m a HUGE fan of Callie Hart’s work and her sinfully heroes! This brillant author never fails to deliver a solid, unconventional, captivating and addictive story.

I loved this very well-written story between two amazing characters with great individual personality traits. Two broken, damaged people with screwed-up pasts who had found one another and had managed to make each other whole. I liked how the author portrayed this dynamic duo and how they complemented each other perfectly.

"I walked the road to hell, and I lived there for a time, but I’m not going to be another broken girl you have to take care of. You’re a fixer. But you don’t need to fix me. I mean it, Felix. I already fixed myself a long time ago.”

"I had to feel so little for so long that I swore to myself I would never allow that to happen again. So, I’ll love you as fiercely as the sun fucking burns, and you’ll have to fucking like it, because you did this, Felix. You made me love you just as much as you love me, and it’s never going to go away now. I’m never going to go away. This is it.”

This story flowed right from the very beginning and had that ideal balance of action, suspense, romance, passion and scorching hot sex scenes. I also enjoyed so much the appearance of Zeth Mayfair from the Blood & Roses series. It’s been a wild ride, and I’ve loved every minute of it. If you’re looking for an action-packed and panty scorching read featuring a fantastic couple, look no further.

“My dick’s like a Porsche, Sera. You just bought it. Paid an insane amount for it. But you’ve been sitting in the passenger’s seat, afraid to get behind the wheel. You’ve been letting me drive it ever since we met. I think it’s about time you took control, don’t you? See what this thing can really do.”

This book picks up right where book 2 leaves off, so if you have not read Dirty Dirty (Dirty Nasty Freaks, #1) by Callie Hart and Nasty Nasty (Dirty Nasty Freaks, #2) by Callie Hart , do not read this one (also if you have not read the first book, this review will contain spoilers).

When we left off in book 2, Felix was getting ready to face off with Zeth in a fight club situation (Zeth is the H in an earlier series --- Blood & Roses The Blood & Roses Series Box Set (Blood & Roses, #1-6) by Callie Hart --- but this encounter takes place on the same timeline, but earlier than when Zeth actually gets together with the h in his story - there are a couple of years between when he "meets" the h and when they actually get together). I paused this series to read the one about Zeth so I would better understand his character, and I don't regret doing that bc it humanized Zeth (to an extent). I didn't read the whole thing, just the first 2 books in that series; it was enough to know at least some about this character. It was obvious to me what was happening with Zeth coming into this story because

Felix is in full protector mode at this stage, and he is determined to not only keep Sera safe, but he is bent on finding out who is behind the plot to kill her to rid her of the threat once and for all. But will he be able to keep her safe with many (known and unknown) forces working against them? Is there any chance these two damaged seemingly beyond repair individuals can find an HEA even if the threats against them can be revealed and eliminated?

What I liked:
--- Pretty non-stop action that kept things moving with some twists and turns along the way
--- Felix started off as a pretty unlikable H but he had some redeeming qualities in the end; he was damaged but was not a socio or psycho path; he definitely had a code and a conscience
--- Sera was no "victim" or wilting flower - she was capable of taking care of herself and did a few times throughout the series
--- STEAMY GOODNESS! Holy taboo moments in this one (literally)

What I didn't like as much:
--- A lot of build-up for a relatively quick resolution... Also, I figured out who it was; the why was beyond my grasp even though I get that the person was crazy
-- Some things still didn't work for me - there were several loose ends and unanswered issues MAJOR SPOILER - only read if you have read this book, don't plan to, or don't care if you know the outcome
--- You can kill people all you want in books and movies, but you DON'T F'ING KILL THE DOG --- ever - WTF?! That's a rule, people!! ;)

Overall, I liked this series. It was a little out there at times, and several things didn't add up all the way for me, but it was a fun ride with a lot of taboo steaminess and a satisfying enough HEA.

Plot --- 4/5
Main Characters --- 4/5
Supporting Cast --- 3.5/5
Steam Level* --- 4.25/5
Violence --- yes and with possible triggers
Language --- yes
POV ---Dual

*Note that steam level is not a rating so much as a how hot was it: 0/5 - clean; 1/5 - mild (nothing descriptive); 2/5 - 3rd base action/1 home run; 3/5 - now we're getting somewhere (a couple of full-on steamy scenes); 4/5 - yes please! (erotica territory); 5/5 - they did EVERYTHING in this one, y'all

Callie has done it again.
I love these books I didn’t think she could top Zeth for me but she has done with Fix he is right up there as one of the top book boyfriends.

This is book 3 in the Dirty Nasty freaks series and what a book it has been.
This book starts where book 2 left us and well if you have read book 2 you will know what I mean I don’t want to give away any spoilers in case anyone hasn’t read it yet but trust me you need to read this series.
This one was such a ride it had me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what was going happen. I did not see that twist coming. A few twists and turns in this one I did not see coming but are great. I love these two characters so much, I hate for this series to end. I could read about them more and more.
I read in one sitting I was that hooked and I have been struggling for a while to read anything. As I have been in a major book funk.

Well done Callie to an amazing well-written series. Cannot wait to see what you have for us next.

What a final installment Freaks was! It remember telling in my review of the first book of the series that it would be epic and I can now reiterate: this series is epic, it has everything!!!

Don't count on me to spoil anything though, so I'll simply focus on what I felt while reading. Oh, the emotions! There was sadness, anger, stress, and laughing! Yes, Ma'am, all of that and then more.

“Does my badass status worry you or something?”“Quite the opposite. Your badass status compliments my totally-fucking-awesome-smart-and-sexy-as-fuck status quite nicely.”

I fell in love a little more with Fix. He scared me, made me swoon. Ah, did I love the violence and dangerousness he is capable of. And then there is that sensible and protective side, this gentleness he reserves to those that matter to him. I loved the dynamic of his relationship with Sera. These two are very attuned. The intensity, the scorching hot scenes balanced the  gruesome flaskbacks and other darker chapters; riveted to the pages, I eventually stopped elaborating the craziest theories. Through an action packed storyline, where sarcasm dances with dry humour, the bigger picture slowly appeared. That was a bumpy ride to say the least, one I highly recommend. And as if the series weren't enough, Callie Hart brings us back to were it all began. So very brilliant...Where? Eh...no spoiler...remember? Enjoy, ladies!

I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK. THANK YOU!!!

"I was afraid of him. I was fucking terrified of him. But… I was also in love with him, more than I’d have ever believed possible, and I trusted him with my life. I knew he would die before he ever let anything bad happen to me." ❤️

"I can’t fucking let you go. I’m in love with you, Sera. And it will be the death of us both"

"I’ll love you as fiercely as the sun fucking burns, and you’ll have to fucking like it, because you did this, Felix. You made me love you just as much as you love me, and it’s never going to go away now. I’m never going to go away. This is it"

The conclusion to this amazing series. Sera and Fix went through so many hardships and finally found peace and happiness with one another. An an incredible journey. Loved every moment of this series, highly recommend it.

Ah holy crap!

Callie has only gone and done it again, floored me with another fucking masterpiece in form of Felix Marcosa and Sera Lafferty!

ARC received in exchange for an honest review

Freaks is the third and final book in the Dirty Nasty Freaks series and seriously some of the best work callie has ever done. I must admit I’m a little fucking obsessed with these book, with these characters.

Sera is such a fucking badass I just love her so hard. She goes through a hell of a lot in the first two books and even more in this book. I love that even though she’s gone through so much she hasn’t lost who she is. She’s still strong and willing to love and even forgive.

Felix, Felix is just everything. He’s everything you want for a book boyfriend. He’s badass, cocky and headstrong. He doesn’t love easily but when he does it’s fiercely. The amount of love he has for Sera is off the charts. He’d risk his life for her, he’d kill any motherfucker who even looked at her the wrong way. *sighs* he’s hot af too with a bunch of muscles and gives you wayyyy too many feels.

Fix and Sera’s journey in book three is hurtful and painful and you just can’t help but feel for them. Your heart aches and gah it’s crazy.

Oh and can I just say, the scene in the bedroom with the collar and rosary beads, oh hot damn. Cold shower is very much needed.

Freaks is unbelievable and insane with a shitload of dirty and an equal amount of funny, sexy and wow.

I have mad love for this series, I didn’t think I’d ever be able to love another character as much as I loved Zeth and Rebel but boy was I wrong because Fix just took the top spot.

Callie never fails to get me hooked on her books. From the moment I begin I just can’t stop until I’m finished. She has a knack for drawing you in and making you live in her characters worlds and I absolutely love that about her. I can’t wait to see what future releases Callie has because I know without a doubt I’m going to freaking love them!

So.... I've giving this book 3,5 because i feel ripped off!!!

There where so much lose strings... whe don't get to see her father pay for all he did! He don't see what happen to Monica and if her story get's closure! The epilogue is just to rushed for a final book in a trilogy! (isn't it?)

I'm going to say this (please don't shoot me) but there was to much Zeth! 1st encounter was nice!
The 2nd not so much, that part where only there to entice those who haven't read the blood and Roses serie!

Freaks (Dirty Nasty Freaks #3)
By: Callie Hart
5 Epic Ending Stars

WOW! What a page turning journey I’ve been through with this series. The ending was EPIC! Make sure you read Dirty and Nasty first before diving into Freaks.

Fix is what every man should be like. Good Golly let me say some hail mary’s quickly and I will be forgiven for the lustful thoughts this old married woman had while reading this book! Shew! Breathe, sit in-front of the fan, relax and move on… This man…my goodness is he H.O.T.

I mean how do you react to a man suggesting you take control of that brand new ‘Porsche’?

Moving on, this series just nailed it for me. All questions answered in this conclusion. What a whip lash twist that totally got me! Great series that I enjoyed reading.

4.5⭐️

First off, I just want to say that Sera is so much better than me because I could never forgive what Monica and the 'Carver' (I still don't understand why they think that way though) did in this book. And I was expecting to see what will finally happen to her dad. It sucks that Felix is gatekeeping that information now because I want to see him get what he deserve and more.

Anyway, I loved reading Felix and Sera's and I wouldn't mind some more of them (maybe in the other book series please?). They are so hot, please! Their banters made it fun to read too. The fast-paced relationship they had didn't seem that fast at all. Well, for me though.

Overall, this is a fun and suspenseful read. I also think that I might read Zeth's books too because after getting a couple of his POVs, his future HEA sounds promising.

Book 1: 4 stars, Book 2: 4.5 stars, Book 3: 4 stars
Series: 4 stars ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

This isn’t a let’s-date-and-see-where-life-takes-us deal, Sera. This is all or nothing. This is to the ends of the fucking earth and back. This is giving all, giving everything, total fucking surrender. Total victory, and total defeat. There is no going back from it. Not ever.

Whew, this series was a whirlwind! I adored so much of it, namely Fix and Sera. The story itself moved swiftly; it had enough excitement and suspense to keep me fully engaged, but it was also simple enough where I didn't mind setting it down for an hour to do the dishes. It was exactly what I needed when I needed it, and then Callie went ahead and threw in a familiar face from a different series. I swooned so hard I almost fainted. I loved that we learned even more about this character, because Lord knows I can never get enough of him!

All those details mixed with the hot sex could've easily made this series a five-star read, but unfortunately, the ending just didn't quite do it for me. It wasn't believable, and furthermore, it just didn't quite fit with the rest of the happenings of the story. BUT, it also didn't really matter all that much, because the whole idea of "resolution" wasn't nearly as important as Fix Marcosa's talents between the sheets. Good Lord, the man knows how to use his mouth. I'm not sure my ovaries have been so affected by a fictional person before. Fix and Sera couldn't get enough of each other, and I, in turn, couldn't get enough of them.

Sure, the series wasn't perfection. There were grammatical errors, and it felt like the first two and a half books were building towards something different than what really happened. Aside from those two details, though, everything was off-the-charts good. Fix was one of the hottest heroes I've ever read, and Sera was a damaged but beautifully strong woman that always held her head high, even when she was scared. I truly believed they fit perfectly together, and so I would recommend this series for people that want to read about two unlikely people falling in love against all odds.

Oh, and I'd also recommend it for people that like the idea of a kinky, violent, dirty-talking, beautiful ex-priest existing somewhere in the world.

“Fuck,” he groaned. “The moment you slid your pussy down onto my dick, I was a fucking goner. Now I’m going to have to make you scream or I’m going to fucking snap.”

First I would like to say thank you to Callie for gifting me my ARC and that cover is so awesome it totally captures Fix and Sera. I have been waiting not so patiently for this finale and while I enjoyed it I didn't love it as much as I expected. My main issue is that although it was filled with sexy times and lots of I love you I felt something was missing. I thought it had its moments of excitement but overall moved really slowly. I really liked the identity of Carver because I didn't even think of that and I loved the cameo of Zeth. I wish there was an Epilogue because when a book doesn't have one it feels very unfinished to me and honestly that's how if felt at the end of Freaks. I'm hoping this means were getting more of Fix and Sera because there were a few things that felt unfinished. Although I had a few issues with Freaks, overall the trilogy was awesome.

I WANT MORE!

The highly anticipated conclusion to the Dirty, Nasty, Freaks series had me starting to turn pages the second I recieved it even though it was 10:30pm, eager to pick up where book 2 left off and to find out who the "Big bad" was. Even though it is a book that makes it hard to stop I did manage to break at 50% for some much needed sleep and enjoyed dreams filled with Fix.

The trouble I find with series broken up into multiple books is that for me they can loose momentum. I did find that with this series and my favourite book would be Book 1 - Dirty. It had me 100% captivated and eager to know the in's and out's of the characters and their world. That initial enthusiasm helped me to resubmerge myself back into their world but I felt a slight disconnect that didn't go away from the point of book 2 onwards.

There was an introduction of other viewpoints in this story which I didn't always think was neccessary to the plot but I suppose gave you a glimpse to the greater universe Fix and Sera are apart of and these glimpses would have had a greater impact on readers who were familiar with the universe.

The humor that for me made "Dirty" was not as prevalent and Fix's POV was few and far between for me. I am greedy and found myself wanting more, more, more. There are so many facets to the compicated, dark brooding man thats is Fix and I wanted to explore them all burrowing into the marrow of who he is.

On the other side I cannot give enough praise for Sera. In Sera, Callie has created a character with such strength, compassion, empathy and the capacity for forgiveness that is humbling. Regardless of what she has endured she has become her best self. But I would also happily find out more about her life, which is in itself a compliment to want to know a play by play of the life of an authors character.

From the prologue I had an inkling as to how it was all going to play out and was not suprised by the climax. It showed us the other side of the coin, so to speak.

I'm a sucker for an epilogue because if I fall into the world I am reading I want to be packed into their suitcase as they continue their journey so I know what happens next and then after that and after that. So I was slightly disappointed because I wanted more - I already mentioned that I am greedy.

I found that not everything was wrapped up in a neat little bow, so I can't help but feel that this is not the last that we have heard from Sera and Fix or the other players in their world. At least I am hopeful there is more.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Fix was plagued by the most inconvenient attribute any assassin could possess: a conscience.

Oh my god, what the fuck?! 6 stars? 10 stars? When did this get so good?

This is the only series that has even remotely come close to reminding me of the Mindfuck series by S.T. Abby (RIP, queen). Not in plot, but in depth and intrigue and minutia. Every character— no matter how insignificant— is interesting. Every plot point, location, character motivation, character backstory, memory, flashback, etc. is INTERESTING and crafted with care and complexity. This was just THOUGHTFUL and INTELLIGENT.

And, lastly… Felix Fix Marcosa is so fucking hot I need a Xanax. He made me want to nervous-laugh hysterically. I felt like a scandalized conservative grandma. My nerves are shot.

So I had figured out who Carver was and why they wanted Sera dead way before the end. It was a simple matter of deduction. There was no other reason for that character to be in the story. If I hadn't figured that out I would have liked this more. Still worth reading though.

“We were more than just Fix and Sera, now. We were far more than that, unbreakable and indestructible, and heaven help anyone who tried to fuck with us.”

4 badass stars!

The final in Callie Hart’s Dirty Nasty Freaks trilogy brings an exciting, surprising and satisfying finish to Fix and Sera’s story as they continue their hunt for the person responsible for the threat on Sera’s life, and they figure out exactly what they are to each other and what that means for their future. As I expected (and was hoping) this book is a fantastic mix of violence and romantic intensity with a light edge to keep it from becoming too dark, and enough raw grit to keep me completely hooked. I loved it!

This book picks up immediately where the last one left off, and I was in a world of excited anticipation as that particular storyline played out!

Spoiler only if you haven’t read the previous books in the series… Callie brought a really great twist into the story which was a fun treat carried throughout the book with even alternate POV scenes which I loved.

But this is Fix and Sera’s story and they have become a powerhouse couple! They’ve been through so much, and this book sees the final big step for them as Sera is brought fully into Fix’s world. Fix has no more secrets from her, with the terrifying reality of all that is him now wide open and exposed, and he lays it all on the line for the woman he has come to love.

“Better men would pretend. They’d make sure you were safe, and they would leave you the fuck alone. I’m the very worst kind of creature, the fucking worst, because I can’t do that. I can’t fucking let you go. I’m in love with you, Angel. And it will be the death of us both.”

And Sera is more than up to the challenge as she lays it all out for him as well – opening up and sharing her horrific past and trusting her dangerous man with everything.

“I’ll love you as fiercely as the sun fucking burns, and you’ll have to fucking like it, because you did this, Felix. You made me love you just as much as you love me, and it’s never going to go away now. I’m never going to go away. This is it.”

It’s a fantastic love story that is equal parts emotion and intense sexual chemistry, and I freaking loved them together!

“Nothing will ever be simple after you, Sera ... I’m unwilling to even think about what my life would look like if you decided to turn around and walk away from me.”

Felix ‘Fix’ Marcosa is the kind of badass antihero that Callie Hart writes so well. He is violent and angry, arrogant, slightly sexually deviant and a coldly ruthless killer, but my God, there is something about this man that is absolutely irresistible.

He had the face of an angel, the body of a god, and a mouth that could make the devil blush.

And seeing him in love and embracing all that comes with that is so gorgeous! Of course he’s sexy as all hell, he’s also protective and possessive and as he sets out to protect and defend his girl, there is no limit to the lengths he is willing to go to in order to ensure her safety. And Sera is right there with him every stop of the way, proving that she is just as badass as her man.

I’d had to fight for everything in my life, and I didn’t regret that for a moment. The fight had shown me how strong I was. It had shown me the true value of happiness, and it had shown me the lengths I was willing to go to in order to protect it.

It’s exciting with a touch of suspense and some surprises as the story twists and turns to its highly satisfying ending. It’s a great finish to the trilogy, and another fantastically dark-yet-entertaining story with great characters and a gorgeous, sexy romance.

I loved it – 4 stars.

Overall it was a good story, lots of hot sex, but still there's not going to be a better story than the Blood an roses series :(

I’m not new to the dark and messed up worlds that Callie Hart creates nor am I unaware of the fact that her male characters aren’t guys that someone would want to bring home to meet her family, but I also am beyond aware that, that doesn’t stop Hart’s heroines from finding a bit of lightness amidst the darkness that surrounds these ‘bad’ guys and keeps them holding on to that fact despite the jacked up shit they become a part of and witness due to their connection to these broody anti-heroes.

From the beginning, Callie Hart’s Dirty Nasty Freaks series has been one hell of a fucked up ride, and I, for one, have absolutely LOVED every minute of it.

In Dirty, Felix “Fix” Marcosa and Sera Lafferty are on opposite sides, and despite their growing attraction and the fact that they dirtied each other up in deliciously deviant ways, Fix still has a contract to complete and what that means for the two of them plays out throughout the course of the text.

In Nasty, the already complicated situation between Fix and Sera turns even more dangerous, placing them both in dire circumstances because not only does Fix renege on his objective, but he also creates a new one, leaving Fix and Sera in a rather precarious position with those on the outside despite the bond that they are clearly forming.

But nothing could have prepared me for the events that occur in Freaks…the show downs that both Fix and Sera must endure…the revelations that drive them to face their pasts and work through them in order to have a much different future…the games that they’re forced to play despite the fact that they might not win. There is so much information and turmoil for Fix and Sera to sift through that it almost seems unconquerable, but I learned earlier on in this series that these two characters are made of firmer stuff and that when their backs are against the wall that’s when readers and other characters see what makes Fix and Sera survivors.

Like Zeth Mayfair, Felix Marcosa breaks the mold when it comes to anti-heroes. He is one badass assassin whose fighting skills, consistent rage and lone wolf status matches up perfectly to Callie Hart’s other alpha male, but where Fix differs from Zeth is in his conscience…in his killer’s code regardless of how contradictory it sounds…in the fact that his heart still somewhat guides him and there’s a reason to why he kills the people that he does. But all of this doesn’t necessarily mean that Fix is better than Zeth; it just means that Hart has created two fantastically complex men who readers can’t help but love.

Sera Lafferty proves just how strong of a person she is throughout the course of the entire series, but it isn’t until she lays herself bare to Fix about her past and endures some intense and life altering situations that would destroy most people that she truly understands who she is and what she’s capable of and that’s what makes her a kickass heroine and Fix’s perfect partner.

I’m not going to give away anything that happens in the final book of the series, but I do have to say that I never expected it to be the person who Hart reveals is behind the contract for Sera’s death nor did I anticipate how everything would be tied together in a way that brings everything full circle, not only for Sera and Fix but also for avid fans of Callie Hart, and that statement will make much more sense at the conclusion of Freaks.

The perfect wrap up to this thrilling new series from Ms. Hart.

What I loved the most was that I did not see the twists coming, well that and the characters. Leaving off where book two left off we find ourselves back in The Barrows with none other than Zeth Mayfair and Fix doing whatever he can to get the information he seeks in order to find out who is behind the running and madness. I will say when you put an old favorite in with a new favorite there becomes this balance of who do you root for and a challenge with the timing. I have decided there is enough room for both of my favorites and my confusion was all worked out.

This final piece seemed faster, maybe it was because I was more on the edge of my seat, maybe it was because there was a lot of action...I don't really know the reason but I read this in one sitting. It was dirty and gritty and full of surprises. I loved how Fix and Sera play off each other. Their personalities, while different were really complimentary to each other. Sera is this fierce and fiery, bold and strong women and I loved her. I loved how she overcame her past and she has some pretty bada$$ moments. Fix is just a juxtaposition; he is loyal but only to a few, he has morals but they are skewed, he is hard and has a mouth that won't quit but can be soft and show feelings.

I can't talk about the story, really at all, but I am so happy it all came full circle. All of the questions are answered and it actually sets the stage for those who haven't read Zeth's books yet. There was a whole lot of, I did not see that coming, and really I loved this ending. I liked how everything gets wrapped up and the characters stay true to who they were at the beginning. I hope to see more set in this world in the future because it really is one of my favorite darker places. Honestly though, it doesn't much matter, because I love this author's storytelling. There is something so enthralling about it that it just draws me in.

I’m still smiling! I was so excited about this one, a strong finish to an awesome trilogy! The writing, the incredible storytelling, increased my emotional connection with these strong and troubled characters. It’s hot, sexy, and full of unexpected twists and turns. I love these characters and that they stayed true to who I believed they would. While their love, sacrifices, and horrible life experiences guided them throughout their journey.

I’m so happy we were allowed more insight into Sera’s story and can finally connect all the dots. She’s such a strong woman and I’m still in awe of her strength and courage. I think she’s even stronger than she was when I first met her. Her love for Fix and sympathy for others has made me love her even more. As for Fix he’s a sweetheart to those deserving, he still scares me but I love him more than fear him. He’s funny too! His willingness and need to protect, love, cherish Sera makes him it impossible not to fall in love with him.

There’s a story within a story here that I am so glad to have. Even though I didn’t really need it, which is probably one of the greatest surprises of all, it increased my connection and left me wanting more.

With a strong start and finish, there is no doubt about it, Callie Hart absolutely nailed this story. I can’t wait to see where she takes me next.

Arc given for an honest review.
I liked this one so much better than book two. I found the story flowed better. I did not like book two Sera, but here she shows more moxy, she is not annoying. I saw her and Fix as a fit, not a disaster.
Fix, he and Zeth really are the same man. They both would do anything for the woman they love, and they are both conflicted about that woman being involved in their danger.
Carver, I did not see that coming! Straight lunatic! All I'm going to say is, I would not have made the same choice as Sera.
Monica, still hate her. Fix was way to lenient on her.
I did wish for a bit more of an epilogue. We need a future update for Fix and Sera.
