Although some would mistake Nia Thompson as a model, she happily teaches second grade in Los Angeles. When she’s not teaching, she’s trying to get out of a relationship with a man who she knows isn’t the one for her. A small classroom fire has her crossing paths with the gorgeous and suave, Trevor Johansson. He’s everything she has ever wanted in a man, but she’s never dated a white man. While she’s drooling over Trevor, he has some secrets that are sure to put some fire underneath her. Luckily, he’s a firefighter.
Thank God! I didn't pay for this book, it was apart of my kindle unlimited. I was done with this book when noodles (Top Ramen) for brains Nia said she asked her date how his "Sound Cloud rapping" was going. Really girl? This is the lame guy you thirsting after.? Why she so thirsty for this guy?? She so pretty, she can be a model but she want the Sound Cloud rapping dude who can only remember to call her ever two weeks? But I'm suppose to believe she is an educator, please! The child are our future and she can't teach them nothing! As we approach the fall of 2018 can we please retire the phrase "I'm not into white guy" from romance novels about woman dating white guy!! Not on,y is it ridiculous, it sound dumb especially when your options are Sound Cloud rapping dude.
When I chose this story it was because the reviews were so good.Well I don't know which story I was reading because this was just awful.I don't want to knock someone's talent but a good editor is so important. This story reads like a conversation. The heroine comes off as immature and swallow, just not really likable.I couldn't really like the male lead either.I mean the character development was lacking as well as how the story progresses.I just think a rewrite should be in the works along with a good editor.
You know I don't really understand. I can't quite put my finger on why this book was complete and utter trash. The writing was awful there was a lot of racism in this book that I didn't like but still it was just words on a page. I felt no connection to this book to these characters and had to ask myself for forgiveness for reading it when I was done do not read this book
To make it seem real-life ( list for the fire captain
To didn't see real. You can't tell what kind of relationship between them If she's trying to put black relationship or a black person It unrealistic story make up your mind is she dark or creamy or tan. That is so desrpectful
This was heartwarming I loved the fire incident where the fire Captain is the one to find love. Everyone needs love but Amy needed her behind whooped form treating that child in that manner
Decent story but a bit disjointed. I was never sure why our heroine decided to date a white guy when she was so opposed to it. Also, she seemed to be a bit of a loser when it came Shawn.
This is a hinge disappointment. The female character was desperate and shallow and her friend was no better. It almost address most stereotypes black women have which made me irritated.
A well written wonderful short story. The two characters had amazing chemistry. The dialogue was very relatable. I hated what his ex tried to do, but true love won in end.
Fire Captain knows what he wants! Turns Nia's one track mind upside down! "Never date a white guy Nia" falls hard for the handsome, caring firefighter! Love that Trevor fights for what he wants & gets his little son & his love in the end! Sweet HEA!!!!
What a way to raise the temperature in the room!! I loved the way the story showed the realism that surrounds interracial couples. And the fact that they were able to push through all negativity!! An all around awesome read!!
This is a story about a teacher and a fireman, named Trevor.. Trevor has a little bit from a previous relationship. In spite of opposition they became a couple and family.
Loved the dynamics of this storyline. 2 very educated people that fall in love but shows how society can still be racist towards interracial couples! Just goes to show you that Love and God will always prevail in the end!!!!!
