With his busy life as a SEAL, a relationship was the furthest thing on Myles “Ghost” Richards’ mind. But when his teen sister’s beautiful French teacher puts out a call for a volunteer chaperone for the club’s trip to Paris, he doesn’t hesitate to step in. As well as keeping a protective eye on his sister, he now has a chance to get closer to the woman that’s caught his attention.
Adrienne Barrera vowed to never date another man in uniform after tragically losing her fiancé four years ago. But when a student’s brother accompanies the French club on their trip, Adrienne soon finds herself tempted to break every rule she’s made for herself, even if it’ll cost her heart.
The educational, fun trip soon turns horrifying when Ghost’s sister and another student are kidnapped. Without his SEAL team to back him up, Ghost must trust Adrienne and his limited resources to find the missing girls.
His family has been torn apart once; he’ll rip Paris apart to keep it from happening again.
Victoria Bright is from a small town in North Carolina and currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina. You can usually find her hoarding bottles of Cool Blue Gatorade, playing The Sims when not writing, or obsessing over Camaros.
I enjoyed this story. The alpha characters are always fun to read and the suspense and romance in this story are enjoyable. There were quite a few typos and a few grammatical errors, and some graphic sex which I personally do not enjoy reading. Nonetheless it is a good story.
This book is a lot different from other Seal books I have read. It doesn't have to be all blood and death but Ghost having to always reassure the french teacher was a bit much. I give credit for Ghost looking after his sister and her being number one. Some other reviews were concentrating on Ghost having to go on a mission and leave his sister behind. I'm sure she had plenty of support, and when your in the military your life is not your own.
Meeh, not really that good. 1 - Using the same same call sign confused me 2 - Having Wolf be on vacation in the same country has already been used in this Kindle world.
Going Ghost has the usual guy meets woman subplot but it also has a big brother who has raised his little!e sister in his own since she was young. Their mom has a drug addiction that she fights the demon daily. So much of this is the fact of how children are growing up now being raised by a sibling, grandparents or aunts. But the story also touches on human sex trafficking that prey on young children and our teenagers daily.
Myles "Ghost" Richardson is raising his teenage sister on his own since their mother left. Josephine Richardson is your typical teen who is going to Paris, France with her French club. Her teacher Adrienne has been guarding her heart for years after her police fiancee was killed. Ghost has volunteered as a chaperone but also hopes to convince Adrienne to consider a date with him. But when his sister and a friend were kidnapped by human sex trafficking ring and it will take Ghost with some help from Wolf (He and Caroline are visiting Paris) and a stranger wanting justice for his late daughter also taken and killed by the same people. It will take everything Ghost, Josephine, Adrienne and Wolf to rescue her when a car chase goes south quickly. How it affects Jojo will be also touched on that Ghost will help her get through.
My only complaint is the misspelled words and some words were out of context. I'd guess most people skip over but it detracts from the story quite a lot. But other than that this was a wonderful book and I'd give it 4.6 stars.
This book starts with a bang and ends with a HEA that will make you smile. This is the first book by Victoria Bright that I have read and I guarantee it won't be the last. Her characters are written with such little love that you have to like them from the beginning. Ghost is raising his sister Jojo because their mother is dealing with drug addiction and has been gone for a long time. It is heartwarming to arch their relationship throughout the book. Ghost and Adrienne have many trials to go through before they become a couple. I don't want to give anything away bit you will love this book. Character development and story line are spot on and nothing feels rushed or left out. You will really enjoy this book.
So I just got done with you book, it was great btw, but I was kinda thought ghost was the guy for the delta forces but once I started reading i know the the it if would kinda weird if his team even needed help from the delta team then you have so ghost, what do you call each then. Anyway love what you bring to the stories about different team and one we know from susan stoke book keep up the great work k will be be reading one in future kk
Good work hope to more new characters in the future. Love of you all writes put someone in from susan stokes book in there somewhere. Thanks again
Going Ghost is a feel good romance story that brings two people together that have dealt with heartbreak in the past. Ghost (Myles) and Adrienne are brought closer together during a high school trip. Ghost’s sister Josephine faces danger during the trip and they come close to losing each other. The brother/sister love they share keeps them strong, and Adrienne completes the two. She battled with herself in most of the story about keeping Ghost as a distance or letting the walls fall and taking a chance. The danger that was faced in Paris helps her to make a decision for her future. Great story with happy ending!
Myles (aka Ghost) has a crush on his sisters french teacher Adrienne, so he volunteered to help chaperone the seniors class trip to Paris. During this trip the attraction between them grow and little-by-little he’s winning her over till his sister and her friend get kidnapped. Just like with the first book, the romance between Myles and Adrienne is very fast paced. But that kidnapping part was crazy. Myles Alpha/Bada$$ SEAL side really came out and I loved it. Can’t wait to read Jokers story and watch him get bit by the love bug.
I really enjoyed Going Ghost. I liked the tie in with Susan Stoker's series. I thought the budding romance in with the constant action in Paris was thrilling. My only complaint is quite a few grammatical errors. Changes in verb tense, missing words, typos/autocorrect errors like do instead of to. A good read through would catch most of these, Ms. Bright. The errors rarely took away from the story though.
Expertly written. This is a warm story of a SEAL who takes care of his sister and pursues the woman he wants by chaperoning teenagers to Paris. The story is full of adventure, caring, fears, sex traffickers. It has a nice surprise ending. There is sexual content. It reads quickly. You'll love it as I did.
Such a scary subject (being kidnapped in a foreign country). I liked how it was dealt with and that just because his sister was saved quickly she did not come unscathed. I enjoyed reading how Adrienne overcame her issues with his job and gave them a real shot. Great read.
This love story starts and almost ends in the city of love. However Myles May have found his woman and besides saving his sister he must overcome her past and his. A sweet love story with some suspense that keeps you guessing. A good read
Teenagers being teenagers but thankfully the Navy SEAL brother was there to save the day. At the same time, falling for the teacher at a super fast rate. It was a cute story.
