Und als bald ein Mann Mimis Herz höher schlagen lässt, muss sie eine Entscheidung treffen …

Petra Durst-Benning is a German Historical Fiction author. My introduction to her came through The Glassblower Trilogy. I have read the first two and enjoyed them.

This series is about the photographer Mimi Reventlow. She travels for her profession, setting up shop for a few weeks in the towns she is traveling through. Her 'creations' are ingenious and popular. She is a strong personality and will take guff from nobody. This is circa 1905, so a strong female character is a rarity.

Her uncle, Josef, is a retired photographer in Laichingen. He is her role model. He is very ill and Mimi arrives to care for him in his final days.

Laichingen is a small town and the people have small town ways. Weaving is the main industry of the town and the owner of the mill, Gehringer, is a bigoted tyrant. Mimi has many run-ins with him.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story of a strong woman. Next up An Artificial Light.

I wanted to love it!

I was very excited when this book was recommended to me on Amazon. I’m a woman and a photographer, and I started out in the military, which is mostly a man’s world. The premise of the book was irresistible to me! However I must say I was very disappointed by the loose plot. There wasn’t really a climax to the book, most of the action took place in the last 5%, and there was no resolution to anything. I understand a second book will be coming out later this year and I’m not sure if I’ll even read it. I love the main character and her personality, but there seems to have been so much time wasted in the book on characters who played no real part in the story. I wish there was more to the story.

Abgebrochen auf Seite 312. Es ist einfach unfassbar oberflächlich (wahrscheinlich kommt daher die bescheuerte Formulierung Frauenroman, denn Frauen kann man ja keine Charakterentwicklung zumuten, oder so *Ironie off*).
Die Idee an sich ist super. Aber alle anstehenden Probleme werden mit einem Satz abgehandelt. Die uninteressanten Dinge wie Hannes oder Kleinkriege im Dorf werden ausgetreten ohne Ende.

Nach anfänglicher positiven Überraschung leider eher eine Enttäuschung. Habe mich nach Lesen des Klappentextes für Band 2 gegen ein Fortführen der Lektüre entschieden.

Mimi Reventlow hat großes Glück. Als sie sich entscheidet den Heiratsantrag ihres Verehrers nicht anzunehmen und lieber als Wanderfotografin durch Deutschland zu reisen, stehen ihre Eltern auch finanziell hinter ihr und unterstützen sie dabei, ihren größten Wunsch wahr werden zu lassen.
Einige Jahre zieht sie erfolgreich durch die Lande und baut sich einen guten Ruf auf. Doch dann erfährt sie, dass ihr Onkel Josef, der sie zur Fotografie gebracht hat, schwer krank ist, und reist zu ihm nach Laichingen auf die Schwäbische Alb.
Dort erwartet sie ein komplett fremdes Leben. Fortschritt ist dort verpönt, es soll doch bitte immer alles so weitergehen wie bisher. Vor allem Fabrikant Gehringer hält strikt am althergebrachten fest, sichert es ihm doch auch den Zugriff auf billige Arbeiter. Denn wer würde es schon wagen gegen ihn, den Herrn Fabrikanten, aufzumucken.

Mimi hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Sie weiß was sie will und setzt das auch mit einem Gottvertrauen um, das durchaus zu beneiden ist. Die Entscheidung Wanderfotografin zu werden hätte auch ziemlich in die Hose gehen können. Auch die Entscheidung in Laichingen zu bleiben und ihren kranken Onkel zu pflegen ist nicht ohne. Schließlich hat sie es nie gelernt einen Haushalt zu führen.
Petra Durst-Benning gelingt es in diesem Buch die Welt der Weber auf der Schwäbischen Alb lebendig werden zu lassen. In den Teilen die in Laichingen spielen konnte ich die Kälte und Trostlosigkeit förmlich spüren. Wohingegen ich bei den Teilen, die in Ulm oder am Bodensee spielen durchaus die Wärme und die Lebendigkeit der Gegend gespürt habe.
Für treue Leser gibt es in diesem Buch auch ein Wiedersehen mit Clara Berg, die wir in Bella Clara begleiten durften. Und auch Anspielungen auf die Glasbläser- und Samenhändler-Trilogien sind im Buch zu finden.
Mir hat das Buch ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Es ließ sich gut lesen und bot einen guten Einstieg in die Geschichte, die mit weiteren 4 Bänden fortgesetzt werden wird. Daher ist das Ende auch recht offen und man ist gespannt, wie es mit Mimi und den Laichingern wohl weitergehen wird und ob Mimi es schafft ein wenig frischen Wind auf die Alb zu bringen.
Von mir daher eine Leseempfehlung für dieses atmosphärische Buch!

I have read the Seed Traders saga of Petra Durst-Benning and enjoyed them, so I looked forward to another series by her.

I thought that this was an excellent book by Petra; however, it had a really abrupt ending. Almost like, hmmm.....I written enough words for my publishler sooooo......I am done.

I realize that it is part of a seried, but this just stopped.

Other than that it ia a fascinating history of photography in its infancy . I will read the next book in the series.

DNF: felt like a slog. I got halfway thru and still I was waiting for the story to start. There were spots where I thought "and here we go" and then nothing would happen. The writing was good so I'm disappointed that the plot didn't keep up.

Eine starke Frau geht ihren Weg zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts


Kurz zum Inhalt:
Esslingen, 1911. Minna (Mimi) Reventlow arbeitet in einem Fotoatelier, denn ihr Traum ist es, eine bekannte Fotografin zu werden. Sie bekommt von Heinrich einen Heiratsantrag; er jedoch will in eine andere Stadt ziehen, wo er Pfarrer in einer Kirche werden kann. Doch dort gibt es kein Fotoatelier und Mimi müsste ihr Leben als Hausfrau fristen.
Da sie unabhängig sein will und ihren Traum als Fotografin verwirklich möchte, lehnt sie Heinrichs Heiratsantrag ab und macht sich auf den Weg als Wanderfotografin - so wie ihr Onkel Josef einer war, ihr großes Vorbild.
Doch eines Tages braucht ihr Onkel ihre Hilfe, der sich der Liebe wegen in Laichingen, einem Weberei-Ort, niedergelassen hat. Kann Mimi dort ihr Glück finden?



Meine Meinung:
Die Geschichte erzählt von der starken und mutigen Mimi, die sich in Zeiten, wo es für Frauen noch nicht selbstverständlich war, selbst über ihr Schicksal zu verfügen, für ihr Glück entscheidet. Sie hat zum Glück den Rückhalt ihrer Eltern, von denen sie als Aussteuer Geld für einen Fotoapparat erhält.
Die Erzählweise ist sehr bildhaft, man hat alle Protagonisten und vor allem den Ort Laichingen samt den Einwohnern genau vor Augen. Auch die damaligen Zustände sind genauestens beschrieben, und man muss mit Mimi mitfiebern - vor allem in Laichingen, wo sie sich gegen die Einwohner und den dort vorherrschenden Weberei-Besitzer, Herrn Gehringer, durchsetzen muss.
Man bekommt auch sehr gute Einblicke in die damalige Art zu fotografieren.
Sehr schön fand ich, dass sich Mimi trotz ihrer Moderne entscheidet, in Laichingen zu bleiben und ihren geliebten Onkel zu pflegen.
Ich konnte jedoch Mimis Verliebtheit Hannes gegenüber und ihr ständiges Sehnen nach ihm überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen, dies kam mir alles viel zu kurz.

Leider endet die Geschichte sehr abrupt - ohne Hinweis, dass es eine Fortsetzung geben wird. Wenn ich nicht bereits gewusst hätte, dass dies eine zweiteilige Reihe ist, wäre ich sehr enttäuscht gewesen, denn es wird weder auf der CD-Hülle noch eben im Hörspiel darauf hingewiesen. Nicht einmal ein "Fortsetzung folgt" am Ende...

Die Sprecherin Svenaja Pages hat eine angenehme Stimme, nur für meinen Geschmack könnte sie eine Spur schneller sprechen.

Das Cover entspricht jenem der Printausgabe und zeigt Mimi in der damaligen Mode. Auch die Schrift lässt auf einen historischen Roman schließen.


Fazit:
Fesselnde Geschichte über eine starke Frau in schwierigen Zeiten, die ihren Weg geht und sich in einer Männerdomäne durchsetzt; ich bin schon sehr auf die Fortsetzung gespannt. 4 Sterne.

Minna Reventlow, genannt Mimi, ist eine starke Frau in einer Zeit in der Frauen noch nicht so selbstständig sein dürfen wie heute. Trotzdem setzt sie sich gegen Ihre Eltern durch, lehnt einen Heiratsantrag ab und wird Wanderfotografin. Inspiriert hat sie ihr Onkel Josef, der auch schon mit seiner Kameraausrüstung durch die Lande zog. Als Ihr Onkel krank und pflegebedürftig wird, begibt sich Mimi nach Laichingen um die Pflege zu übernehmen. Nebenbei möchte sie ein Fotoatelier eröffnen. Leider kommt die selbstständige, junge Frau mit ihren neumodischen Ideen nicht gut an im Dorf. Dort soll gefälligst alles bleiben wie es ist.

Mimi ist toll. Stark, mutig und inspirierend. Ich bewunderte sie sehr, auch für Ihren Mut, ihre Meinung zu sagen. Oftmals habe ich im Geiste gedacht "genau Mimi, zeig's denen!". Die bildhafte Sprache der Autorin, die Dialoge waren einfach wunderschön. Ich konnte das Dort mit seinen Bewohnern, dem Gasthaus, dem Markplatz und den zig Weberstühlen förmlich vor mir sehen. Mir war nicht eine Sekunde langweilig beim anhören der Geschichte. Das Ende ist recht offen gehalten. Soweit mir bekannt ist sollen drei weitere Bände folgen (Angabe ohne Gewähr). Svenja Pages hat einen sehr guten Job gemacht. Dieses Hörbuch war ein absoluter Ohrgenuss.

Ein Buch für Liebhaber historischer Romane, starker Frauen, Schauplatz Deutschland und bildgewaltiger Sprache, dabei aber keinesfalls zu abgehoben. Am besten mal reinhören oder die Leseprobe lesen.

Die Fotografin - Am Anfang des Weges.. ich habe dieses Buch wortwörtlich verschlungen.

Ein leichter lesespass mit historischer Geschichte dazu, Mimi kommt aus gutem Hause und tritt in die fussstapfen ihres Onkels Josef der jahrelang als Wanderfotograf lebte und sich gegen Ende in die Leinenweberei-Stadt Laichingen mit seiner grossen Liebe niederlässt. Als diese jedoch stirbt, wird Josef krank und Mimi, die in der Zwischenzeit bereits eine erfahrene Fotografin wurde, eilt zu ihrem Onkel um ihn zu pflegen sowie auch sein Fotoatelier wieder zum leben zu erwachen.

Eine konservative Stadt, eine moderne, wunderbare, geheimnisvolle Frau, die durch ihre Fotografie den einen oder anderen begeistert, den jungen Leuten Mut und Hoffnung schenkt...

und da wäre ja noch Hannes..

ach ganz ehrlich ich werde die Saga wohl noch dieses Jahr verschlingen :-)

I was being too generous to give it one star. Although the story has little plot, and totally unlikeable characters, I hung in until the end hoping it would pick up. Instead, I was left completely hanging in mid air! There was no ending! It just stopped! How frustrating! By reading the preview of the sequel, I was given a hint of what was to come, but I am not going to invest my precious reading time in this saga again.
I had previously read the Glassblower books and enjoyed them, thus I felt safe to stay with this author. I think some of the fault lies with the translator. The conversation in this book was abrupt, rough and just not congenial. The townsfolk were hard workers who had no aspirations for anything beyond what was traditional, took no enjoyment in life, and criticized new ideas. Plus, they followed the whims of the most influential factory owner, afraid to stand up to him. He used this to his advantage and bullied them into submission. All this together makes for an unpleasant read.
Do I recommend this book? Absolutely not!

3.5 stars. After reading and enjoying The Glassblower series, I just had to read this book. I especially love this author's magical settings. She has an expertise that puts the reader right there in the scene. This book did not disappoint. There I was, right back in Germany.

I was drawn to Mimi's independent thinking and perseverance in creating the life she wanted as a photographer, unusual for a woman in the early 1900s. I liked Mimi Reventlow, as well as the characters in the quaint little town of Laichingen where she ended up. Uncle Josef, Anton, Alexander, Eveline and Mimi's interesting man Hanne. The book ended abruptly, I wasn't ready, but the story continues in the second book, An Artificial Light, which I must read...

Ein würdiger Beginn für eine neue Figur - Mimi ist Klasse - und ich habe mich gerne mit ihr auf Reisen begeben. Wann wird es weiter gehen?

Der Band in sich ist nicht abgeschlossen - der 2. Teil ist auch schon avisiert - ich bin gespannt, wie sich Mimis Lebensweg weiter entwickelt.

​Mimis großer Traum ist es, Fotografin zu werden - wie ihr Onkel. Doch eigentlich ist der Platz für Frauen in ihrer Zeit zu Hause - als Ehefrau, gut verheiratet mit Kindern. Für Mimi ist diese Vorstellung jedoch ein Graus und als sie einen Antrag von ihrem Freund bekommt, muss sie sich entscheiden, was sie mit ihrem Leben wirklich anfangen möchte...


Wir lernen Minna, genannt Mimi, von Anfang an als selbstbewusste, junge Frau kennen, die genau weiß, was sie vom Leben möchte: Freiheit durch Fotografie. Ihr Traum ist es, den Menschen Schönheit durch ihre Fotografien zu schenken, so wie sie es von ihrem großen Vorbild, ihrem Onkel, gelernt hat. Dabei hat sie außerordentliches Talent und ein Auge für schöne Kompositionen. Mimi ist eine schillernde Figur, deren Weg ich gerne begleitet habe. Sie sprudelt über vor tollen Ideen und dennoch bleibt alles in realistischen und nicht abgehobenen Bahnen. Die Autorin gibt uns Zeit, um uns mit Mimi und ihrem Leben bekannt zu machen. Schnell kommen weitere Personen hinzu, als Laichlingen, ein Ort auf der schwäben Alb, als Handlungsort hinzukommt. All diese Nebenfiguren haben ihre eigene Geschichte, mit denen sie zu kämpfen haben und dennoch verbindet sie eins: die Sehnsucht, ihren Traum zu erfüllen. Doch das es nicht so einfach ist, nach den Sternen zu greifen, wird in diesem Roman ebenso realistisch, wie bodenständig vermittelt. Gleichzeitig schafft die Autorin es aber dennoch Hoffnung zu vermitteln, so dass der Lesespaß erhalten bleibt.


Der Stil ist flüssig und gut zu lesen. Die Seiten fliegen so dahin und bevor man es überhaupt merkt, ist die letzte Seite auch schon gelesen. Dieser Roman bildet der Auftakt einer mehrbändigen Reihe. Die Bücher sind auf jeden Fall zusammengehörig und bilden nicht unbedingt ein in sich abgeschlossenes Ende! Mir hat das nichts ausgemacht, denn ich freue mich so umso mehr auf eine Fortsetzung. Denn Mimis Weg ist bei weitem noch nicht zu Ende gegangen und ich bin sehr neugierig darauf, mehr zu erfahren!


Also ein schöner Roman aus der Zeit vor dem ersten Weltkrieg, der in den Folgebänden noch thematisiert werden wird. Ich kann das Buch jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der sich in diese Zeit versetzen lassen möchte und dabei einer selbstbewussten, jungen Frau folgen will.

Disappointed to Realize 3 Books for One Story!

This is not a true series but one 1,000 page book released in three partial books. The abrupt ending to Book 1 left me empty and resentful of this publishing tactic. Ugh! Be forewarned!!!!

My second disappointed in this "saga" was how little of the content focused on photography, given that the first part suggested wrongly that photography of a hundred plus years ago might be both interesting and enlightening. However, most of the storyline focused on the political and family issues surrounding a small German community in the early 1900s.

Mimi Reventlow, inspired by her Uncle's love of photography, chooses to overcome her parent's objections to become a traveling photographer in Germany's remote communities. Although this historical novel reflects somewhat the amazing strides of women photographers around the world in the late 1800s and early 1900s, this book series is more a historical novel of small-town struggles of families in "company towns" in the emerging industrial revolution with its high cost on individuals, families, and communities where workers became captive slaves of factory low-paying jobs. The most important part of the story is the exploitation of vulnerable workers in Europe's prewar and prerevolutional environments. I found great value is seeing the contrast to our times and how far as a society and civilization we have come since the era of the author's storytelling.

Although the storyline has deep human interest value, it seemed too much like a young adult novel with its PG-rated content and linear plotline. I have begrudgingly committed to finish the series, but I intend to read other more substantial storyline books in between the trilogy installments.

I appreciated Audible's companion narration and its value pricing. However, I assume that the German original might be have more substance and insights that the English translation. But perhaps both are more similar in reading level.

The storyline is generally acceptable and interesting, but I remain a bit upset in not exploring more the format and content structure of the three-part series beforehand.

I just now realized this book is by the same author who wrote The Seed Woman (a book I read several years ago and really liked). This story takes place in the early 1900’s in Germany and follows a very strong main character Mimi as she decides young to decline a marriage proposal by a well respected Parish Preacher and the hardworking, mundane life it would bring to her. Instead she follows love, her love for photography and to be a photographer and her own business woman. This seems acceptable to us, the readers, NOW but in the early 1900’s it was nearly impossible for Mimi to become successful in a very traditionally minded Germany where women did not have a voice or respected opinions. The story follows her failures and gradual successes as she travels from city to city and region to region and eventually stops in a small mountainous town known to the world for its long tradition of well made linens. She settles there temporarily to care for her dying beloved uncle (who taught her the ins and outs of photography) and finds a host of naysayers and a few village members who embrace her and her ideals. The ending is abrupt and not finished in any way which leads me to think there will be another sequel to this novel. I admit I wished Petra Durst-Benning had said a bit more of what will happen next—I’m guessing I will need to wait for the next in the series IF I want to know what happens to Anton, Alexander and Evelyn and to find out whether Mimi and Johan find a future together.

Mimi Reventlow was the daughter of a prosperous church leader. In 1905 at age 26 she was considered “almost an old maid” but she had a boyfriend and her parents expected her to accept his proposal of marriage. Instead, Mimi decided she would follow her Uncle Josef and become a traveling photographer. She was enthralled by the idea of making people happy and more beautiful through photography. Her parents reluctantly allowed her to follow her heart. Photography had advanced and all she needed was her new camera, tripod, and to be able to rent for a short time a photography studio’s darkroom. ... After plying her trade for a while she decided to go visit her uncle who had by then had married and settled down. Unfortunately she found him alone, his wife had died, and he was in the last stages of tuberculosis. She found herself having to keep house, cook, do washing, and all the chores she had never learned to do. The small town was basically “owned” by the mill. All the families relied on them for jobs, food, etc. The famiies lived in poverty. .. But even with this Mimi came to love the people and get involved. ..............HOWEVER The book ends like the old serial movies – Go up to a climax and then “tune in next week to see if the fall will kill little Mary, will the train run over Sam, and who shot JR????? I hate cliff-hangers!!!!

Mimi Rewentlow geht einen anderen Weg als Frauen ihrer Epoche. Anstatt sich an den geeigneten Mann zu binden, macht sie eine Lehre als Fotografin. Ihr Onkel ist ihr großes Vorbild. Als dieser schwer erkrankt, übernimmt sie nicht nur seine Pflege, sondern auch das Geschäft in der kleinen Stadt Laichingen. Dabei stößt sie auf Skepsis bei den Bewohnern, die unter anderem vom industriellen Gehringer abhängig sind und gegen sie aufgehetzt werden. Er hat ein besonderes Interesse daran, dass die Fotografin wieder verschwindet.
Im Plot wird die Atmosphäre in einer Kleinstadt 1911 sehr authentisch wiedergegeben. Die Geschichte ist durchaus interessant geschrieben, der Spannungsbogen in der Handlung ist allerdings etwas kraftlos. Mimi ist eine sympathische Protagonistin, die wissbegierig auch von den „kleinen Leuten“ lernen möchte. Ihre ideale sind ihr aber auch wichtig und manchmal wirkt sie etwas aus der Zeit gefallen. Ich merke, dass ich aus dieser Art Roman raus gewachsen bin. Er ist gut geschrieben und die Reihe verspricht leichte, aber gute Unterhaltung. Trotzdem konnte ich nicht wirklich mitfiebern. Deshalb werde ich die Serie auch nicht fortsetzen. Allen, die auf historische Romane mit modernen Protagonistinnen Lust haben, kann ich diese Reihe empfehlen.

This book is about a courageous woman ( Mimi Raventlow) that defied any preconceived ideas about what a woman should do (marry, children, housewife, etc). Mimi wanted to be s photographer. She was able to realize her dream but she also had a very important support group, her family. Unless most of the women of that era that were shunned from their families just because they didn't want to conform. In this book we see that, plus prejudice, criticism, mockery and envy. This book was written around religious movement called pietism. Your destiny was already defined by your ancestors and going against that was against God's will. You see it constantly through out the book.
The protagonist is a traveling photographer that destiny takes her to the town of to take care of her uncle, Josef that lives in the town of Launching eh Germany. She faces many struggles and was about to face more because she still doesn't understand the town. And maybe love...
This book is what I call clean. Even though the book isn't shy of presenting all the good and evil, is done without the use of extreme violence and language.

Storyline was a good concept, sort of thing not usually on offer. I found the character development somewhat patchy. The main character, Mimi, I felt was never fully fleshed out while a minor character, Anton, got better treatment. Had a few too many characters in the story I felt, maybe 25 without counting, sometimes hard to keep track of so many. Pictures at the end of the book were good, but I'd read the story by then. If they could have been incorporated earlier if have preferred that.

All in all a reasonable read and stylistically was good; spelling and grammar were fine. This was good for a free Prime book, a couple I've read looked like primary school kids had written them.

Saga Indeed!

As with all of Petra Durst-Benin’s be is the heroine is a female pioneer in her field, in this case, photography. Once she had reached a level of success, the saga begins with her meeting and leaving a man she could not forget, choosing to put her successful career in hold to nurse her beloved uncle through his final days, and feeling trapped in the small, rigid culture of a weaving town and its traditions in the early 20th century. However, her natural resilience asserts itself and creates waves. Another great read! Looking forward to sequels.

This is a big miss for Petra

I’ve enjoyed other books by this author, but not this one! I knew when I read the last page that there had to be a sequel. Nothing and I mean nothing was resolved in this book and the characters were so dull that I do not care if she resolves anything in the second book. It seems she wrote this book with the intent of a sequel, just to make a few extra bucks, because the first book just abruptly ended with no resolution for ANY of the characters. If she wants to get me to read a sequel she needs to do a much better job with the first book.

lovely warm historical novel

Very nicely written. Really draws you into the characters. Very easy to imagine each of the characters as I believe she anticipated them to be without a lot of description but rather reading their interactions. I really enjoyed the novel as it was more of a very well written story than something written for shock value. No Uncomfortable poorly written indecency. Nice clean enjoyable novel.
It’s not written in such a way that you cannot put it down however it is a nice light enjoyable read in a lot of ways like watching a TV series

The author has captured the essence of the characters. Her descriptions of their physical as well as their personalities bring them to life in this drama. Mimi, the photographer, challenges herself and others to enjoy life and work at what you enjoy. She ignores the ridicule and the challenges put her way and shows how strong she is by enduring the hardships. While caring for her sick uncle, she reopens his photography studio and and in the process, begins to include herself into the strict, narrow minded community.

I loved this story ,I love Mimi ,who is a young woman with big dreams ,in the time where it was meant for woman to.marry she chose a different path.After years of being a traveling photographer she ends up in a town to take care of her uncle,this town is traditional ,but Mimi 's inspiration and ideas may just give some of the young generation a chance to follow their own dreams.

A realistic trip back to Germany in 1911, following the fortunes of Mimi, a rare female travelling photographer. The setting is fantastic, lovely period details that take you right back to that time. Mimi is a fascinating character, both unique in her choice of lifestyle and the way she looks at the world.

Thoroughly enjoyable and beautifully written, I look forward to the next instalment of Mimi's life.

Sie ist eine unglaublich starke und mutige Frau für ihre Zeit und hat keine Angst, ihren Träumen zu folgen.

Sie träumte davon, Wanderfotografin wie ihr Onkel Josef zu sein und den Menschen mit ihre Fotografien Schönheit zu schenken.
Sie muss sich in einer von Männern dominierten Welt und einem Berufsfeld zurechtfinden und gibt ihren Traum niemals auf. Da ein Familienmitglied in Not ist, muss Mimi einige schwierige Entscheidungen treffen, wohin ihre Reise sie führen wird und wie viel sie bereit ist zu opfern.
Ich habe es wirklich genossen, über Laichingen und die Welt der Fotografie zu lesen.

Für alle Fans historischer Bücher ist 'Die Fotografin Saga' ein must-read!

Interesting read

Mini is an interesting girl. She grew up being taught by her uncle the great art of photography. When grown, she leaves her home to be a traveling photographer. She has many adventures in her travels. She stops traveling to take care of her uncle. Getting involved with the community leaves her confused and angry. This is the first book in this series. Can't wait for the second! Good historical references, learned a lot. 16+
