Once again, Ms. Vanessa Vale has created an amazing new series, and this one is a spinoff from Bridgewater Menage Series Books, but fast forward more than one hundred years to present day. The town and county of Bridgewater still live by the standards from their relatives of the nineteenth century. In Bridgewater, polyamorous relationships are the norm.

Ride Me Dirty (Bridgewater County Book 1)
LIFE IN BRIDGEWATER WASN’T NORMAL—BUT IT WAS BETTER
Catherine “Katie” Andrews is going to Bridgewater, Montana to clear out her late Uncle Charlie’s house and put it up for sale. She hasn’t been there since she was twelve years old, and was shocked when her uncle died and left her as his sole heir. A week away from her job as an attorney in New York comes with so much frustration and headaches between her job, her co-worker, and even her ex-husband. Then to learn that not only was there a house with land, but there are water rights, and Uncle Charlie’s water rights will impact most all the other ranches.
From Denver to Bozeman will have Jack Kane and Katie Andrews as seat mates. A delay in take-off, with overheard phone conversations with her ex and IMs on her computer from a co-worker, text messages from her boss, will not go unnoticed by Jack. Learning that Katie is heading to Bridgewater, where he lives, helps set this tale into motion.
The plot will have cousins, Jack Kane, a horse rancher, and Sam Kane, an attorney making their claim on Katie quickly. Men in Bridgewater still live by their ancestor’s beliefs of men sharing a wife, and the Kane cousins have always known that they would share a wife together, now they must convince her that she is their “lightning strike.”
What will it take for Katie to know that the rat race and jockeying for partnership isn’t what she really wants out of life? Her parents are cold, absent, jet-setting people who she rarely sees. Yes, her mother left Bridgewater and never wanted the lifestyle, but what does Katie want and need? Jack and Sam show her love, passion, and pleasure beyond anything she has every experienced before.

Claim Me Hard (Bridgewater County Book 2)
YOU’RE MINE AND I’M NEVER LETTING YOU GO
Dr. Hannah Lauren Winters is no wallflower. Having gone to Stanford and now working in the ER of a hospital, she has seen and handled it all, and can hold her own. Working with women who come in and have been battered and broken by men, she has counseled and advised them on breaking away and provided the help to do so. Why can’t she listen to her own advice, and it will take another broken woman to make her see she needs to practice what she preaches. Hannah will finally realize that if she is to live, she must escape from her abusive ex-boyfriend, Lieutenant Colonel Bradley Madison. It will require walking away from everything and going under the radar. No cell phone, no vehicle, no ATM, or the use of credit cards. She can’t even be a doctor, or he can find her.
When the bus stops in Bridgewater, Montana, Hannah will get off and walk around the quaint western town, and when she misses the bus, she will stay. Now she needs a job, and Jessie will hire her to work at the diner as a waitress, and offer her an apartment over the diner to live. When two men, Cole and Declan, come in each day to sit in her section and flirt, she will learn that not one of them, but both of them what to date her, together. Finding out that this is the norm in Bridgewater comes as a complete shock, but it must work since it has been the way things have been for over a hundred years.
The plot will have Hannah on the run, leaving behind everything she has worked for to become a doctor, including acceptance into a new practice. She must remain under the radar of Brad and will go by Hannah Lauren and avoid using anything for him to track. When she learns of the “Bridgewater way of life” she will be shocked but fascinated. Having two men vie for her attention and telling her that she is theirs, even if she doesn’t know it yet, is scary. She is escaping one controlling man, and the thought of two more is more than she wants. With the entire town pushing for Cole, Declan, and Hannah to get together, she is willing to go out on a date with them to the local watering hole. Having two women vouching for the Bridgewater men and their proven way helps for the night, but she plans on only one night.
A life and death situation will open the door for discovery for Hannah and just when she was learning to be happy and trust Cole and Declan; she will feel the need to run. Can the men prove to her they want her to stay and that they will keep her safe? When the opportunity for her to continue being a doctor comes to light, will she be willing to settle in Bridgewater and find her happily-ever-after ending?

Rachel Andrews has finished college, and at twenty-six years old, is still a virgin, and fears her desire for a family is dwindling. Having a bad experience with a date during college, she believes she is frigid and that her dream of the true desire of having a family of her own is slipping away, maybe there is another way to have a baby. She is returning to Bridgewater to take over the office manager position at a local guest ranch, Hawk’s Landing, held by her sister, Emmy.
Matt and Ethan have been friends for years, and with Matt’s money from his short lived career in baseball, he has purchased the land, and Ethan’s business skills have made it a success. Hawk’s Landing is ten miles outside of Bridgwater and has cabins for their guest. Both men know that they want to claim a woman together, forever, they are just waiting to find their “one.”
The plot will have Rachel returning to Bridgewater to take over her younger sisters job and working as the office manager at Hawk’s Landing. Meeting her new boss, Matt, at the rodeo comes with a shock as he makes sexual advances and then embarrasses her by telling her to leave. Make Me Yours (Bridgewater County Book 5)
WE WANT YOU. YOUR BODY--YOUR HEART--YOUR SOUL
Lacey Lee has fortune and fame as a famous television actress in a series. But she is tired of the paparazzi, the tabloids, and fake news, the PR hype, and no real personal life. She does her best to try and avoid the tabloids and their latest exploits about her. Coming home from being overseas, and finding her ‘pretend’ rocker boyfriend is hosting a party in her home is the final straw. She needs to get away, and her sister has her go to Montana to stay at a cabin she and her husband were to use for their honeymoon, that is in Ann Marie’s name.
Meeting not one, but two sexy cowboys sets Lacey’s heart to racing and learning that they have no idea that she is a television movie star comes as a pleasant surprise. When both Colt and Micah come on to her and want to spend the day taking her on a horseback riding adventure, it becomes of an amazing fantasy and experience and the start for their future. Micah and Colt had known since they were young that they would one day marry and share a woman. They were just waiting for “the one.” They even had talked what it would be like when they find her.
The trip on horseback changed as the weather brought on a sudden storm, just like their volatile emotions, and they had to seek shelter at one of the secluded cabins.
Can these three make a relationship or will the world come crashing in on them? For Micah and Colt, they know that Lacey is their one, the woman they have been waiting for, the one they want forever with. What happens when overzealous fans become aggressive, and the tabloids get explicit pictures? Who sold Lacey out and why? Harsh words, broken heart, shattered dreams, and a bitter farewell will leave three people hurt. Will this be the end or will Micah and Colt fight for the woman who stole their heart and rocked their world?
The story is full of passion, exploration, revelations, new beginnings, angst, confusion, and forgiveness. The relationship between these three sizzles with an erotic chemistry. The sex scenes are explicit and include M-F-M ménage scenes.

Kiss Me Crazy (Bridgewater County Book 6)
SHE JUST WANTED A NEW NORMAL
Avery is traveling home to Bridgewater for her sister’s wedding. It isn’t a visit she is looking forward to and is already counting down the days until she can leave for her next assignment to Brazil. While she may have grown up in Bridgewater, and accustomed to the relationships of two men and one woman triad union, it wasn’t what her parents had. But then again, her parents had a very toxic marriage that was full of bickering and affairs. Avery is so jaded by how she grew up; she doesn’t do relationships, she has one-night stands and leaves before morning.
Bridgewater locals, and veterinarians, Jackson Wray and Dash McPherson, are returning to Montana from attending a conference in Minneapolis when they meet up with the girl of their dreams, Avery, in the airport. With flight delays, the three will share a room and a night of passion. What a shock to wake up and she is gone. She may have left them, but they are determined when they get home to find her.
The plot will bring Avery home between assignments to more of the same with her parents, the consent fighting, name-calling, threats, and all that anger and angst is more than she can handle. When Jackson and Dash show up on her doorstep, she will escape to Jackson’s family home for a Christmas party. What a world of difference in personalities, people, hugs, and love. It will also lead to going home with the men for a night of passion back at Jackson’s house.
Avery’s childhood was nothing like what she witnessed with Aunt Louise, or the Wray family, or even the others that attended the Christmas party. But she fears she will be just like her parents, or even or sister, marrying just because and even cheating days before the wedding, like it was normal.
What will happen when it is time for Avery to leave Bridgewater, Jackson, and Dash? She has an assignment she accepted in Brazil. The further from her men she gets, the harder it becomes and the desire to leave isn’t there. Could she have a future with them, one that includes love and commitment?
The story is full of passion, exploration, revelations, new beginnings, angst, confusion, and discovery. The relationship between these three sizzles with an erotic chemistry. I love how Jackson and Dash never push or try and coerce Avery, and always allow her to feel in control, offering their support, even if that means letting her go and travel. The sex scenes are explicit and include M-F-M ménage scenes.

This was a collection of menage novellas. All of them were heavy on insta-love, had a naive feel to them due to easy perfect resolutions to everything. I didn't care much about the characters since they were pretty one-dimensional. But as short comfort-reads for distraction, these were quite okay.

Though I probably won't read anything else by this author, since these novellas were so similar, I felt like I've read the same thing for seven times over these past few months. Enough for me.
