If you’re looking for a new hobby, you might consider quilting. I know it’s old school, but it can be relaxing and does allow creative expression. Quilting for beginners by Kevin Durant, which I received a complimentary copy of in exchange for an unbiased review, purports to be the ultimate step-by-step guide to this retro art. While it does provide some interesting historical information about quilting, and introduces the craft (art?), the title is a bit over the top. In addition, the book is sorely in need of a good copy editor.

If you’ve never done quilting, you’ll at least pick up a few good tips. I give it three stars.

kindle unlimited, was asked if I would review this {don't know or know of the person who asked me} based on seeing my amazon or goodreads reviews, but they said they noticed my review on another book...okay, but that book was a cozy period mystery, which I disliked and gave a 2 to, so still no idea why they thought a quilting book would be 'like' this one

first off, the 'book' is actually shown with title for review as Quilting for beginners: Ultimate step by step quilting guide to master all the quilting techniques as a beginner, so looking it up for review is 'fun' {NOT} on amazon

okay, read through it...big gaps inbetween sections,, odd endings that made a 'page actually only have a line or even just word on it to make it 2nd 'page', odd wording/use of words, lots of glossary/word meaning sections that confused more than helped {and NO, stating to go to a quilting or material store and ask people there is NOT helpful, at all, is a waste of time and literally a waste of book space so filler}, AND worst of all, I actually know about half the things I THINK they were talking about, but again the wording/phrasing was so odd not really sure, and this is from someone who KNOWS at least the basics of knitting, and was more than a little ticked off after seeing all the WHY here? gaps between lines and all, the 3 types of quilting were jammed in to one small paragraph, with barely a mention of the 3rd kind, since you're doing so much filler, jeez at least enlarge on the ideas that are SUPPOSED to be presented in the 'book', this one was so badly confusing that I will make sure I hit the ku to set it to 'erase' {clear furthest page read} as it was basically who knows why this was even published type book and doesn't even deserve the 'pennies' for being read, because NO book should take that long to set out just what the book is about, and the sections, then FAIL to actually cover the basics listed

Awesome And Helpful

I found this book to be very helpful, even though I have made a few quilts already. Good book to use for beginners or refreshing the memory of more seasoned quilters.

Not much information

I was hoping for some illustrations but the only picture in the book was one of a dog at the end of the book.
