Enjoyable read

A very enjoyable read and a better fit in the series, but it’s just missing that one thing to take it into five star land and I’m not really sure what that one thing is. It’s a great short read though so I say go for it!

This was an enjoyable reunion read with a hero and heroine who had been high school sweethearts but went their separate ways when she was sixteen. Carlos joined the navy SEALS and Erin is now in hotel management. They've been apart for sixteen years, so obviously they have had other relationships. Sadly, Erin got involved with a nasty abusive piece of ....work.
Carlos came in contact with Erin for the first time in years when Erin gave him some information that helped put the bad guys away in Maria's book. Now the ex has somehow got out of prison and is stalking Erin.

It is this that brings Carlos back into her life. She had been pushing him away, but under pressure from creepy ex, she almost texts Carlos asking for help...and pressed send accidentally.

Carlos is firmly imbedded in his SEAL unit. They are his family and he doesn't believe his life is conducive to having a wife and family to leave behind while he goes on dangerous missions.

Guarding Erin however, shows him some possibilities he never considered.

This is a nice little romance with a touch of drama suitable for a military based set of heroes. The heroine is generally strong except for the stupid over dating her loser creepy abusive ex. Carlos is a sweety with secrets of his own.

Overall a good read if you are into military heroes and a bit of action with your romance.

Entertaining and heart warming this book will hold you captivated until the end. I really liked Carlos and Erin’s story. This is a heart pounding second chance romance that will grip you till the end. The writing in this story was great, the characters likeable, and the plot exciting. This book was more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be. I actually liked this story especially since I love second chance romances and this has moved to a favorite of mine . There’s nothing like a hot story with drama and this one is at the top. This book will hold your attention until the end because well its just that great of a story. Nicole Flockton has moved on my list of most read authors.

I'm really enjoying this series about a group of SEALs and the women that steals their hearts. In this story we have Italy and Erin. The two dated in high school but knew they were going in different directions with graduation. Several years later a favor brings them back in contact and a threat keeps them in contact. Could it be their time now or will Italy continuing believing that you can't be a SEAL and have a family.....ps love see Caroline and crew!

Fan fiction reading is complicated. Often you'll find that the fan characters aren't true to their original author's voice, or the fan world isn't the same as the original author intended. That's not the case with Nicole Flockton. The characters created by Susan Stoker stay true in this author's incarnation. And the Flockton created characters step easily into Stoker's world with a perfect fit. If you're a Stoker fan, this series is a must read.

Italy has decided being a Seal for life is what he wants. He has gotten away from his past. This was working great for him until Ash called and he sees

Erin again. Now with the help from Tex he knows she is in trouble.
Erin thinks she is finally free of her ex mob boyfriend. Now he is back. On top of that, Carlos "Italy" shows back up.
They are just getting back together when Erin and her friend are kidnapped. When Tex calls him, he knows he can't go on the mission. Then Wolf and his team walk in. Can they rescue the girls before it is too late?

Wow what a wild ride! From the first page to the very last word, Guarding Erin hit the ground running and never lets up! Carlos “Italy” Porcelli and Erin Furlan fell in love in high school but when Italy enlists in the military after graduation, life took them in separate directions. Years later when they are thrown together, sparks fly as if the separation never occurred. When Erin's life in put in danger from an ex-boyfriend, Carlos steps in the make sure she is ok. And while they want to rekindle the relationship permanently, will they be able to get past all of the roadblock in their way?

Military romance is my very favorite genre and I adore Susan Stocker's worlds but this is my first Nicole Flockton story. As such, I was not quite sure what to expect but boy does she knock this one out of the park! Fast paced without being frenetic, with a story line easy to flow but not predictable in the least, I can totally kick myself for not reading her before now. And I will totally admit that I just bought a ton of her backlog to binge on during the holiday's. Looking for a wonderful way to spend a dreary, winter day? Grab Guarding Erin and settle in for a wonderful day escaping!

I just finished reading this book and loved it!  I think it might have moved to my top Nicole Flockton book.  I love military men and this has plenty.  Not just the dashing Carlos, the hero, but his whole SEAL team. This had a little more suspense and action than Flockton typically puts in her books but that's kind of my jam, so I devoured it. Throw in the mob and some spicy chemistry and you've got yourself a winner.

After finding myself reading some dark stories I needed a change in genre so thought I’d give this a try. I’m so glad I did.

Carlos didn’t expect to meet Erin his first love when he went to help a former Seal brother. His instinct told him Erin was in trouble and needed his help. Helping her brought back memories for both of them but can they move on?

A great well told quick read that I really enjoyed. I’m off to read another :)

4 Stars!

Part of the Operation Alpha Kindle World, Guarding Erin is a second chance romance with a side of danger. A quick and enjoyable read, take a moment to get lost in the Carlos and Erin's story. Carlos is swoonworthy and alpha as they come! Erin is strong and independent, but can't seem to break free from dating losers. A few secrets add some nice intrigue. A great addition to Kindle World!

Love Carlos (aka Italy) and Erin together. This is my favorite book so far in this series. It’s well written and has the perfect amount of Romance and Drama with some action thrown in towards the end. I cant wait for Robot’s story to come out but till then I’m moving onto Jokers. Ooh!! So excited.

Happy Reading 🖤

SEAL-me!

Another member of the Special Forces and from the looks of it, the stories get better from here on! Since Italy reconnected with Erin in book 2 we can see that he never lost his love for his first love. Again another side of the member of the Special Forces group was shown, the fear that lurks in every soldier and their families heart and how to cope with it. Beautiful easy read and now Robot and Toni...I'm on the hunt for their story!

Who is Carlos? Where has he been and what has he been doing? Who is Erin and how does he know her? What is the last thing she says to him? Who is Bryan and how does Erin know him? What does or did he do for a living? What happened to him? When Erin starts to send Carlos a text message, what is it she is sending and does she finish the text message? What happens when Carlos gets one text message the night before and then another the next morning? What does Tex get for him information wise? What happens? When things go pear shaped for Erin and her best friend, what does Tex say to Carlos that has him telling his team he cannot go with them on the mission? When his commander comes in and the whole team stands behind him, and Tex's name is mentioned, what happens? What do they find when the two teams get back to Virginia, Wolf's team having shown up when they Carlos's team was 60 minutes away from wheels up? What happens? I really loved this story and look forward to more in the series!

Really good story!

This was a well written story. I read this after the 2nd book in this series so I knew some things about the characters before you normally would, but it took nothing away from these characters or storyline. It was nice to experience an aspect of this series that I have not encountered before. That being laying the ground work for another group of seals to bring women into the dynamic, with Caroline in the mentor role.

This was a really fantastic read! Somehow Nicole manages to keep ever her darker books light and quick to read! The banter between her main characters in this particular book (and most of her others) was fun and kept me smiling. I felt connected to both and really bought into their romance! Overall, another great romance from an author I love!

I always enjoy reading Nicole Flockton's books. She creates a world that is simple, with characters that are complex, and have interesting backgrounds that keep the reader interested in her novels. GUARDING ERIN focused on two main characters, Carlos and Erin. Erin is getting back on her feet after a tangle with the mob, and Carlos is returning for a short stay from a recent mission with his SEAL brothers. A curious, and unfinished text message from Erin has him dropping any further mission plans, and heading to New York to see Erin is fine with his own eyes. The two knew that being in close quarters again would cause sparks to fly, and fly they did....

The only thing holding be back from giving GUARDING ERIN a five star review is that the climax of the novel came more towards then end, and ended up feeling rushed. Other than that, GUARDING ERIN had plenty of hot scenes that will leave readers wanting much, much more of Carlos and Erin. Their backstory was difficult, but had enough mystery to it that it wasn't overly complex. The characters were easy to relate to as far as having that opportunity of a long lost love come back to you.

As always, I look forward to Nicole's next novel!

Quick and cute

Second chance romance that piggy backed off of the mafia problems from the previous book. Italy is a great character and SEAL. He found a way out of a bad life, but to help a brother he went back in the previous book. Well now it is his story and he is working to save his ex girlfriend who just might be his true love.

They are a cute couple and what type of SEAL story would this be without someone trying to kill or kidnap the love interest! The romance was fun as they did have to work through some issues and the action included some favorites from the Operation Alpha world. The mafia part seems a bit much in terms of a low level guy having those resources, but still an entertaining read.

More characters were discussed such as Robot and Joker. I am thinking the next book will be about Antonia and Robot since they have the tension between them mentioned several times, which should be interesting as Robot has been in two other books so far.

Guarding Erin: Special Forces, Operation Alpha: Guardians Book 3 is by Nicole Flockman. This novel is set in New York City and in Virginia at the SEAL Base. Carlos Porcelli had joined the Navy as soon as he graduated from high school. He left very lucky when his girlfriend at the time, Erin Furlan, agreed to an amicable breakup as she was going off to college. They messaged for a while, then drifted apart. A few years ago, he came back to New York to help bring down a major gang and saw Erin again. She helped bring the gang down by taking pictures of Bryan’s notebook without anyone noticing her. Now Carlos is back in her life along with Bryan. Can Carlos protect her from Bryan? Who will protect her from Carlos?

This is book 3 in this series. Erin and Carlos had a past before now that left them both heart broken, and never thought they'd see each other again due to the lifestyles they chose. Erin has tried her whole life to run away from her family name and the lifestyle they lived even by getting a regular office job. Carlos is a badass SEAL who wants nothing more than to make Erin his again and prove he will not leave her for a second time. As her ex Bryan stops at nothing to kidnap her and her best friend Antonia, Carlos will prove to Bryan once again that Erin is his and to not mess with anyone the SEALS care about. Will Carlos and the SEALS get to them too late? You'll have to find out on your own! Enjoy!

When you manage to escape the Mafia, and years later you seek someone so you can help a friend help his woman, well sometimes that contact can mean trouble, but the question is what kind of trouble will you run into.
Carlos “Italy” Porcelli, will soon find out what kind of trouble, as he ran into Erin Furlan a love he left to join the Navy, now he finds that she is in trouble for helping him, and little by little they discover a love they still have for each other as they dodge trouble.
Great characters and seeing old friends is a big plus.

I do so enjoy a second chance romance and this was a sweet one. She wanted to help herself and help a friend anything to get away from the abusive relationship. He was a seal unable to commit to a relationship because of his service. These two have chemistry and history and when she needs help he will do anything in his power to keep her safe.

Great story

Cute love story

Guarding Erin follows the path of the previous books where the SEAL protects the female character and they end up falling in love. Erin and Carlos were apart for 16 years and came together again when Erin faces danger in an ex boyfriend. Erin didn’t want to have anything to do with Carlos at first but the love she felt for him 16 years ago comes back stronger.

This is the first story I have read by this author and it was very enjoyable. I will definitely check out more of her work. It was a short read but packed a lot of punch. The characters were likeable and the storyline full of suspense, drama, action and chemistry. It was also nice to see appearances by Wolf and some of the others with their wives. It was a good second chance romance.

Intense, quick read but I loved it. I love military and second chance romances and when you combine two I’m over the moon. Carlos and Erin meet up again it under strained circumstances. Erin thought she was safe when her abusive ex was put in jail, but now he’s out and stalking her. A chance text sent to Carlos has him back in Erin‘s life. Will they make it work this time?
